The staff is really nice and helpful with choosing your home. The inside of the apartments are sometimes old or renovated. Both are good options but for me personally, I love the renovated ones more. The carpet is really soft in all the apartments! There is a lot of children that like if you have any, they can play with the other kids in the complex! The exterior gives you a lot of space to work with and decorate with plants, rugs, and seating. This place is nice to live at and to help the community! I would definitely suggest for more people to live in this complex! read more

The maintenance management is rude and unprofessional. I have a very serious fly infestation, over 50 in 2 days! They sent a pest control man to my apartment today but I was indisposed and missed him. When I called back Garret didn't take me seriously and hung up on me when I expressed my displeasure. Horrible!! Worst place we've ever stayed. First to start our shower would never drain, maintenance would come out and just tell me things to buy and it was never resolved. The unit got fleas and was never resolved and the management did nothing about it! The neighbors surrounding are still currently battling fleas. Worst place I've ever stayed. Has had several new owners over the last 6 years... daughter of former owner inherited it... then sold it to a company... who then sold it to another company... every time they squeeze more out of the tenants... raise rents, lack of amenities as before, and trying to get rid of all the seniors who this property was originally intended for. The maintenance guys (who all the residents love), we see less and less... the rest of the staff is fine. But all the cost cutting is crazy... half the apartments have mold, used to offer annual carpet cleaning for free... now they just hand you a container for you to clean your own carpets... got rid of the cable... etc just all downhill read more

It used to be a very safe and clean place to live, the hot tub n swimming were clean everyday. But it is not anymore. It used to have daily security, regular mow the lawn, garage cleaning. But all services are cut. The new owner cut all the service, now homeless people wondering n hiding in the vacant units. Thieves climbing over walls, stealing valuable items in our patios. I am afraid they will broke into our units one day. We are senior, we can't protect ourselves. But even the younger people don't want to live in the unsafe apartments. read more

The laundry situation is ridiculous. Many of the washers and dryers in the complex are broken or removed. The maintenance people aren't allowed to order parts to fix any of them. When they do cutting the grass. You guys will see some holes there. And when they cut the branches and everything. They are not watching that some branches goes in your patios. Every penny counts. They should lesser the price of the washer. They don't care about the amount of it.  9. The pavements of the facilities are not done and not finished. It takes forever for them to finished it. And they are raising the price of 4%. That's alot of money. 10. Plus "They Can Go Inside You're Apartments Without You're Knowledge. Obviously, They Are The Only One's Who Got The Keys Of All Apartment Units. If I were you. If you are inside  your place.  And of course without your knowledge and they go in. And you report it and so on. Of course they will deny and tell lies.  So, Please please please. Get an extra locks inside your home. So no one can get in. You'll never know if they will go in while you're sleeping, taking a bath, cooking or going outside and do your laundries.  And have hidden cameras and record every single day. They don't have the right to go in. We know they are tge property owner "BUT as tenants. You got the right of knowing if they will go in or not". BETTER BE SAFE THAN NEVER. And look. On the Yelp Reviews. They Only got 2 and a half stars. Feel sorry for the tenants and future tenants who started living there. I lived almost five years at the Manor. All the management cares about is the landscaping. The apartments have plumbing issues, windows need replacing, black mold issues, heat and air are controlled by management so you are either freezing or sweating. Everything! The office makes it very difficult to talk to anyone. The laundry rooms are a disaster. They are always filthy dirty and most of the time there is only one washer or dryer working in the laundry room. There are constant plumbing issues and the air conditioning stops working around 3:00 in the afternoon. There is not enough parking available. Do not live here. My dad has lived here for over a year now and I am ashamed that this is the place we chose. As other reviews have mentioned, the heat and A/C are in maintenance's control so there are days that are 40 and below when you have no ability to turn on heat, or on the reverse- days that are 90 and above and no ability to turn on A/C. When you consider that many people living in this complex are disabled, elderly people who sometimes cannot even get up from their chair, this is inhumane. Our specific unit has had rust water coming out of the bath faucet since we moved in, to which maintenance told us "yeah, the pipes are old and this company isn't going to pay to upgrade it." So for over a year now our bath water has been rust water. This company's complete neglect of their senior tenants needs to be a widely known issue. read more

I also had a less than pleasant experience with Vanessa and her lack of customer service skills. She was rude and abrasive. If we hadn't spoken with a current resident ahead of time, I think we would have been so turned off by Vanessa that we likely would have found another place. However, my Grandma and her husband do love the place. So 5 Stars for the residents! They seem to have lots of social events and classes for them to participate in, and the grounds seem to be maintained very well with the beautiful rose gardens. I've been in this complex a couple of times recently, doing notary work for residents. Both times I found it a little bit difficult to find the actual address I was looking for, but that's pretty common in all community living environments. If it were up to me, big numbers would be placed on the side of all buildings, and homes for that matter. I hate driving around trying to figure out address numbers. With that said, the property otherwise is pretty nice. I've easily found guest parking and both units that I'v seen were simple but nice. One resident lived with his wife and three cats. You know what that means: Pet-friendly! The residents said they very much enjoy living there. They host an annual white elephant sale that my husband attended last year. I'll have to check the next one out. Seniors can be pretty crafty. If I had more free time I'd be making all sorts of art projects and doing lots of upcycling! read more

Once again, the "changeover" from A/C to Heat has been delayed and seniors have had no communication whatsoever to advise them when they will have heat with temps in the 40's at night. Old property, pipes burst I was told by rude "Billie" in the maintenance office. Every year this happens and they will not replace ALL equipment and just wait for breakdowns to occur at the expense of their residents. I've asked Michael Finney from Channel 7 for help. My father has been there 7 years and the rent goes up every year (acceptable) but rude staff and paying rent in an apartment w/no heat and no communication to residents? Pneumonia and other illnesses are on their hands. When the elderly resident falls on the over door they had to open to get heat into their apartment, the liability they are setting themselves up for is unbelievable. read more

Let me just say that I don't like posting negative reviews but I have never in my lifetime seen a place run by a group of unintelligent people. We are residents here and the grounds are gorgeous and apartment has what it needs. The office and management are horrific. I have seen firsthand how these unqualified and cruel people talk to the seniors here. They can't get paperwork right and are so rude on the phone and demanding. The maintenance person uses foul language in their return calls and Jasmine in the office is useless and so rude. It's really a shame they have this team working in such a nice community. I don't know how owners keep them there or they have been reported to board of housing in Sacramento. Let's treat our seniors with some respect and dignity be warned about the management team he UPDATE. Last week all tenants received notices that ALL items need Ron e removed from everyone's patio that they pay rent for including wind chimes. No plants chairs nothing. Adam and Kenny are two of the sweetest maintenance guys in the world. They are genuinely hard-working, good hearted, diligent young men. I really like this apartment complex and my mom has been living here for several years now. The maintenance crew keeps the grounds looking gorgeous, they respond quickly if there's a clogged toilet or anything like that, and the rent is really reasonable for this area given the economy. I just gave it four stars instead of five because there's a lack of activities that the management puts on. read more

I would give this place 0 stars if possible. The most uncaring management I have ever met. My mother's rent was raised more than 3 times that of her neighbor's with no explanation. When I went to ask how the rent raise was determined the manager kept saying I won't talk to you about this. I asked to make an appointment to come back with my power of attorney paperwork so she could discuss with me and she refused. My mother has lived here for 7 years and the past year has been horrible. Every one of the 450 units went 2 weeks with no hot water and no one once addressed compensation or apologized. This was a very unsafe situation and they simply did not care. I went to Walnut Creek Manor for their yearly white elephant sale. I got a little lost after I parked on the street trying to find the sale so I got to look around a little bit and everything was very well kept and everyone who gave me directions on how to get to sale was very nice. Inside the rec room, I guess I can call it that, was the white elephant sale and there was a lot of crap for sale which is exactly what I expected so I walked around and ended up buying a small cactus and a couple of books. read more

I have been at Walnut Creek Manor for almost three years. The units are older but you have some wonderful neighbors here. I was not upset by the rules that changed in the beginning of 2019. Some of the apartments had layers of junk on their patios and by checking each and every patio it really made the place look a lot sharper. The maintenance people have all been helpful and pleasant. Because of covid the clubhouse and pool have been closed since last March...but that's Covid. Many of the residents have been here for years so naturally they probably have different views then myself, when things were different, but go to any over 55 scenario and you will find the same amount or more rules to comply with! Let me repeat...most of the people here are pleasant and are lovely neighbors. As anywhere, you have a few that feel they can be rude as can be..but don't let that stop you from checking out Walnut Creek Manor! read more

So two days ago I stopped by the talk to the rental office and I arrive at about 4:45 pm so that I could do that as their office closes at 5pm. I left work early just so I could do this. I'd seen these apartments for awhile and thought when I was ready to retire this might be a place I could live in comfortably. When I arrived I explained to Heather that I wanted to talk about the apartments and even though it is still not 5 pm she told me they were closed and that I could come back tomorrow if I wanted. No, explanation about closing early, no assurance from her that if I came back the next day they would be open. They have posted hours that say they will be open til 5 pm. I continued to show her the satelitte time on my phone and ask her questions, every time I did she told me I could come back tomorrow if I wanted and then just walked away. When I caught up for her I asked for the managers name and number. So the next day I called to speak with Chris Lord who says she is the Site Manager. I proceeded to share with her that when I arrived the office was closed ahead of time and she told me that Heather had not started off being rude to me, though I never suggested she had been and that her staff has the right to a personal life. Believe me when I say I know how it feels to get out of the office early, however there was no apology for the early closure, no offer to set up a time for me to come back and look at the apartments. She had no interest in my being a possible customer for their complex and I understood just then why her employees are so rude, it is because Management is Rude and could care less if you come to live there. So when management has no customer skills how can we expect the employees to have any. So I would not recommend this place to anyone who might be interested as I wonder truly if the staff is like this with people who are interested how would they be with people who are already residents I wonder. They get no recommendation from me and in fact I will tell all my friends who are looking to downsize to avoid this place like it was the plague. read more

This place COULD be a very pleasant place to live, and most likely was at one time. Unfortunately the office staff are RUDE, and will even admit to that if you tell them they are. They don't seem to care one bit about the residents or what residents think or need. If you ask them a question or need something their response is curt, rude, attitude laden, obnoxious, and often times out right lies. Chris Lord and Kendra are the worse!! Vanessa no longer works for the "manor", and her replacement is never seen out showing apartments, so who knows about her. The maintenance staff are fairly responsive, but have this same difficult attitude. Several have no idea what they're doing and out right lie about the workings of certain types of mechanisms instead of actually fixing them. They seem to think you can tell old people anything and they'll just accept it. That's their attitude anyway. The posted photos for this place are outdated and there is NO putting green, it's more like the "putting round brown". It's a joke. It's also infested with cats (some strays, some not) that wander around pooping wherever they please. I had to de-worm my dogs constantly while living here. The "manor" its self offers NO events, groups, classes or any such thing. There's a group of residents that do this and run all of that kind of stuff, so it's pretty cliquish. If you're not on the "A" list you better look out. There's contact information posted in the Club House area about how to contact the Management Company, WGID Enterprises, Inc. in Carmichael, CA, and the owner family, The Boswells (James W Boswell and his mother and sisters). However, WGID Enterprises doesn't answer their phones and they do NOT return calls. Letters to the Boswell family business address are not accepted, in fact they recently refused to accept a USPS certified letter from a group of residents seeking assistance with some issues. Who does this type of thing in this day and age? I ask, why even post this information if it's not useable? It's a VERY CRAZY place to live. So if you're thinking about moving in consider this your fair warning. Do NOT expect anything from the staff here, from the rental office and manager to the maintenance people, management company or owner family. These people have NO respect for their residents and they're plain nasty and unresponsive. read more

I have been a tenent for 6 months and find the residents quiet, friendly and the grounds are kept reasonably nice for older buildings. Biggest turn off are the office staff! I have never been talked to so rudely and dismissed with such horrible attitudes as by Venessa and Kendra and Kris. They have absolutely no talent for dealing with people of any age! In speaking with other tenents who have been there much longer, some up to 10 years, I find that they are intimited and frightened of reprecussions from this office staff! Amazing! elder abuse alive and well at WC Manor. The owners of this property need to do a review and hire a more qualified staff - with the availability of good talent in the job market I am shocked these young women have not been replaces sooner. read more
