This is the 2nd Oktoberfest in Wc , I had been to within the last 3 years. I had recently won drink tickets for the "Chill Zone" via Yelp. It was a great day to check out the Oktoberfest and we got a late start after 1pm. We parked a little far away up on Main St. ,but walkable and easy access since it was free admission. The place had quite a few outside vendors non food and Drink booths. Lots of live music and events during our venture there and we were able to purchase our Beer Steins and check out booths. We checked out a few booths and wound up getting some candles and Kettle Corn, while we waited for our Time slot for the Zone. The premise was a free hour of us hanging Vip style in a Deejay Speakeasy with drinks and food provided by German guys. It was a easy going, relaxing hour provided by ECM Gina from Yelp who hosted a few special Yelpers for the Complimentary hour. We made only a few rounds after our stay in the "Chill Zone" Thanks to Yelp and Wc Oktoberfest for hosting us at another fun Beer Adventure.

Walnut Creek Oktoberfest has been around for more than a decade. It used to called OktoberCreekfest and was held on Locust St. Some years ago, it was moved to the nearby Civic Park. This annual 2-day event usually takes place on the last weekend of September. I was present for this year's edition on 09/27/2024. For a Friday night, it was well attended. Admission was free. Glassware and drink tickets were available for purchase at on-site ticket booths. On the pro side, there were a good number of vendors selling alcoholic beverages and food, jewelry, art pieces, hats, professional services, etc. Entertainment wise, the music was good, and there were activities for kids to partake in. On the con side, there were no paramedics on site. Con Fire and AMR had to respond multiple times for people who needed medical assistance related to heat exhaustion. Also, it would have been nice to have more lighting in the trail area near the back. Tipsy people walking on a dark gravel trail is not ideal. Overall, it was an enjoyable event. Hopefully, they will continue to improve in the years to come.

Review #135 - 2017…read more While we were on our way to grab our regular drinks at Chalogy, we happened upon this street fest. I'm not sure if it's only available for summer, but I don't recall seeing them here before. It's suppose to be here every 1st Wednesday of each month so we'll definitely make our way back here again next month. It's from 5:30 - 8:30 PM so be sure to stop by! Unfortunately, by the time we showed up, it was already 8 PM so we only caught the tail end of the event so everyone was already getting ready to pack up & leave. They had live music, which I saw a few people dancing to up front. Decided to take a snapshot of the party :) We walked by the KIND bars stand and the nice lady gave us two free samples. The full size bars, not just a cut up bite. We also walked by Capital One and got a free goodie bag with a pair of sunglasses, a USB powered fan (fits my iPhone lightning USB perfectly, not that I need anything to drain my battery anymore quickly) and a coupon for a free cup of Peet's coffee. Free coffee is always good! There were a few food trucks and some other knick knack stands that I walked passed. Wish I'd just kept walking when the Andersen Windows guy said "hi" to me. I ended up wasting about five minutes because I was trying to not be rude. If you see him, run! Hopefully, they will have more than just a dozen different stands when we come back next month :)

It's a…read moreplace to go shopping, grab a bite to eat, get some exercise, and hang out at the park with your other bff, Mr. Sunshine. Now, to add to that list, we have First Wednesday in downtown Walnut Creek from 5-8 pm. Do you like trying a variety of new food (trucks) and meeting new people? How about enjoying live music and dancing with that cute guy sitting next to you? (In my case, that "cute guy" was my awesome husband who asked me to dance - even though it was mostly little kids out in front at the moment). This event is family friendly, but they have adult beverages as well. (Designate a driver if you plan to have a few!) Your furry bff is welcome to come along also so don't forget your leash. Several great vendors and tables were set up on Cypress Street between N. Main and Locust. We had fun visiting all of them! The surrounding parking garages are all going to be free on Wednesday nights! There are two Locust Street garages that are convenient to the action. This party lasts from 5-8, but your fun doesn't have to end then. There are lots of other great places to hang out or get some dessert while youre downtown. What a fun way to mark the mid-week!

Also, you can find parking on the street. We came here to see Alantiss Morsiette Jagged Little Pill Musical. You can immediately go in the building and ther is a nice lady welcoming you and directing you to go upstairs or use the elevator for the show. There are bathrooms on the first floor and a wonderful art gallery as well. Going up the stairs in a spiral and on the second floor there were 2 entrances. Make sure to ask where your seat is for the right door to go in. There is plenty of seating with a table outside the theater. While in the theater it was small, but intimate as well. There wasn't a bad seat in the theater. There are no flat seating on the floor just goes up so all can see the stage. You can see and hear the actors clearly. There was a 15 min intercession and you can use bathroom on 1st and 2nd floor. They had drinks soda, beer and cocktails, but not too much of a menu. They also had some candy as well. It wasnt much of a selection. Everything went well and best part you could meet the actors after the show as they were outside with any meet and greet or questions. Would come back again and see a musical. It's not big like broadway audience seating but definitely some great shoes here.

After reading another review, I reached out to see if Lesher would be adjusting this year's production, and received the following: "Yes, this year's show will be the same version as preformed last year in 2025." If they're this insistent on maintaining such a badly created and reviewed production, I'll unfortunately be looking for another location to get my classic holiday entertainment fix. Sad to see, as the 2024 production was probably the best I'd attended.
