I'm very annoying during eye exams and choosing my glasses afterwards the staff and doctors don't care lol, they always let me take as long as I need to choose my frames. Scheduling was easy and wait times were minimal. If you're looking for an optometrist who's thorough, personable, and doesn't waste your time, I'd highly recommend this office.

He explained in simple terms what was happening and what I could expect. On my annual visit today, he again did a great job explaining what had happened and what may be to come. The attention to my care is very reassuring and refreshing. My only ask is for them to carry more specific Asian fit glasses. They few that are carried by Kate Spade are comfortable at all There is plenty of parking in their lot that extends to the back of the building. Their office hours are great too!

Warby Parker has been my go-to store for glasses and sunglasses for the past 10 years, so I'm…read moregenuinely disappointed to say that my most recent experience has made me decide not to go back--not just to the Walnut Creek store, but to Warby Parker in general. My original order was entered incorrectly as single-vision instead of progressive lenses. After I contacted customer service, Warby Parker acknowledged the mistake and corrected the order at no additional cost. I received a new invoice specifically showing progressive lenses with a $0 balance. Unfortunately, the replacement lenses were also incorrect and I could not see properly through them. When I returned to the Walnut Creek store to have that problem addressed, I was suddenly charged $230 for the difference between single-vision and progressive lenses--the very issue that had already been resolved weeks earlier. What bothers me most is the principle of how this was handled. If I owed $230 when the progressive-lens reorder was placed, I should have been told and charged then. Instead, Warby Parker processed the correction at $0, and only when I returned because there was a problem with those lenses did they reopen the issue and charge me. I've spent an unreasonable amount of time trying to resolve errors I didn't make, including an insurance issue created by the original incorrect order. Customer service has since offered to refund $100 of the $230, but that still doesn't address the underlying issue: I should never have been charged retroactively for an order correction that Warby Parker had already made and documented at no additional cost. After 10 years as a loyal customer, this experience has unfortunately cost Warby Parker my business.

However, I struggled for over a year because the contacts still left my vision a little blurry when doing computer work, weren't comfortable for long periods, etc. I'd tried out multiple prescriptions and brands and was burnt out, but I needed to renew my prescription and had just moved so I figure I'd give Dr. Khela a try, expecting nothing would really change in my contact discomfort. I could not have been more wrong - she is a phenomenal clinician / wizard. She explained exactly where my discomfort was coming from (astigmatism!), got me in more comfortable contacts, explained why having one contact for astigmatism and one normal might help, and masterfully explained why computer work was giving me a headache and had a great fix. Her experience working with hundreds of patients doing deep squinty computer work really makes her an expert on modern eye fatigue and her solutions are creative and adaptive. I didn't know it was possible to be this wowed by your eye doctor but eye comfort is so underrated and I am grateful to have found the best doctor!

I spoke with Macario and he said that I could just drop in, which I did. He recognized who I was and not only fixed the hinge, but gave me two new nose pads. It was all done in about five minutes! I was in and out in ten minutes at most and I still had plenty of time to beat traffic home. Macario is a model of excellent customer service. I will definitely be returning after my next eye exam for new frames. The experience was splendid.

During my exam, Dr. Mock noticed a sign that prompted him to recommend I follow up with my regular physician. I did, and after additional testing--including simple bloodwork for Lp(a) and ApoB--I learned I have an inherited cardiovascular risk factor I otherwise would not have known about. Catching something like that early matters, and I'm deeply grateful for Dr. Mock's thoroughness and attention to the whole patient--not just whether I can read the eye chart. And beyond the medical care, the staff, especially Suzi, are wonderful. Choosing glasses and lens options can feel overwhelming, especially as we get older and our visual needs become more complicated. They take the time to ask thoughtful questions: How far away is your computer? What do you do all day? Are progressives the right fit? What are your goals? While attempting to explain that the lenses did not meet the intended outcome of my order, Dr. Mock responded in a harsh and unprofessional manner. He refused to listen to my concerns or work toward a reasonable solution, even though adjustments and lens protection were included as part of the service I had paid for. During the interaction, Dr. Mock became increasingly aggressive. He threw the prescription toward me, spoke in a hostile tone, harassing me and dismissed my concerns in a belittling way. He then said, "Take it or leave it," and directed us toward the door, effectively ending the conversation without any attempt to resolve the issue. We left the store without any resolution and felt discouraged from returning, even if further problems arise. This experience was deeply disappointing. I would advise future customers to proceed with caution when dealing with this business. Especially with Dr. Mock and his wife.
