There's a waiting area, the bathrooms are by the elevator, and only two tracks. 1 is outbound, and 2 heads into Boston. Simple. Start heading out when they announce that your train is arriving, about 8 min in advance. Head towards the right if you are Coach bound. Take a seat and the conductor will scan your ticket code and tuck a paper ticket above you. Take it with you if you change seats. If you go past NYC, the crew changes, and every passenger gets scanned again. If you are ADA and need access to one of their accessible seats, there's a way to mention it when buying your ticket, so the conductor will save you a seat in advance. Two bathrooms are available at one end of the Coach car. If the light is on, the bathroom is taken and the door locked. These are roomier than those on airplanes. So are the seats, although they otherwise resemble those found in planes with the tables that fold down and seats that recline back. 120 volt plugs are available, but no screens and no headset jacks, so no music. Stops are announced, so it felt that communication was pretty good on the train and at the station. Coming back and arriving on track 2, we had to exit and head up and over the tracks, where we could go straight into the garage, or take the escalator down by Dunkin Donuts. There's an elevator as well, which will take you to the bathrooms.

The parking lot is huge and quite affordable at $15.00 a day. There are also cans downstairs and an area for buses. Truthfully, better than going into South Station for the train.

There is a trash can on the inbound/Boston side, but no trash can on the outbound side. If it's your first time here, give yourself some extra time so you don't end up on the wrong side. Right now the staircase is closed. So if you are on the wrong side of the track, it will take you an extra 5 mins to get on the bridge overpass to get to the right platform. Be careful when you get on and get off the train, the platform/train is tilted so watch your step as always.

The majority if not all of the parking is reserved for Sharon residents. The town runs the lots which means the police write the tickets. So "real" parking tickets vs private company violation notices like the other MBTA lots. Get dropped off at this station or just go to Canton Junction if you aren't a Town of Sharon resident.

Area is well lit and safe at night. There are various times the trains come through here and the schedule works well. Absolutely don't do it…read more I understand the whole "Train departs 30 minutes after the end of the game" but I don't understand the point of a train that takes nearly NINETY MINUTES to get the ten miles from Foxboro to South Station. From Foxboro to Dedham, we didn't go faster than 6 or 7 miles per hour. I get that they don't own the tracks and they're going through a residential neighborhood but if it's going to suck this much then don't even do it. Next time, if there is a next time, I'll get a shuttle bus of some sort from downtown. Because this was absolutely awful. We didn't get to South Station until 12:40AM. (Note: There is also a train from here south to Providence. Maybe that runs faster?)

Great for residents who reside in the 'burbs and time goes by quickly checking out the views in the fall. The rail was CLEAN and they take your 8 bucks when you sit down. It gave me nostalgia from back in the day riding the train with my fam! Folks that worked there were friendly too and I felt very safe riding it alone. There's plenty of parking at the depot for those who commute into Boston often. I was honestly wishing the ride was longer, HA!! I'd take it again in a heartbeat especially if you need a quick cheap ride to the city. Do not take uber or lyft in this area. They are slow and the funny part is you will get to town quicker if you take the train. Do it!! You'll love it.

Positive points: Not a crowded station. Less of a scramble to get on/off the train. It's about in the middle of the line. If you're getting on here to head towards Boston, you have a good chance of getting a seat as it's before 3 or 4 stations with huge parking lots and lots of people. Two shelters at the ends of the platform. Less positive points: A bit isolated at night as not a lot of traffic/people will be coming by since it's at the very back of the complex. I haven't had any problems late at night or early in the morning. No parking unless you're a resident of the apartment complex. Signs up everywhere saying resident parking only, towing enforced, etc. Not sure how strictly they enforce this but do you really want to be towed? So this is pretty much a drop off/pick up station. It's technically a flag stop. While I've never seen the trains not stop there, theoretically if the engineer doesn't see anyone on the platform and nobody on the train is getting off, the train might not stop. Tell the crew on the train you're getting off here or be visible on the platform (not hiding in the shelters) at train time if you're waiting to board. So, one star off for no parking, otherwise this is a pretty good stop to use.

It is the third stop on the line for inbound transit, so there is pretty much always a good selection of seats available.

All of the signs are to communicate the location of the handicap platforms. If you don't understand that you can easily mistake those signs as directional indicators for where the train is going and some cases that could lead one to board the wrong train. Fix is easy. Just put up one sign that says "Boston Train" and another that says "Outbound Train". Handicap people are smart enough to see the platforms and ramps for wheelchairs.

Do not be intimidated by the insane looking stairs here, the whole place actually makes a lot of sense. There seems to be a lot of parking available in several different lots as well, so that doesn't seem like an issue. When leaving this place there is a bit of conjestion but it sorts out quickly.
