The ENTs I have seen in Las Vegas all had a high opinion of him and that is how I came to find Dr.

For context, I lived on the…read moreEast Coast for 35 years and NEVER experienced the level of unprofessionalism at doctors offices that I've experienced since I moved back here to Las Vegas. My experience was pretty much the same as other reviewers. Specifically, rude and unhelpful office staff. Also, the doctor was okay but not worth putting up with the despicable treatment from the front office staff to waste my time coming back to see. I had been to the office once and had gotten there early. At my second appointment, I arrived seven minutes late. I had been caught up in traffic with heavy roadwork. I was not intentionally late and had given myself the normal amount of extra time to get there. It was not my fault but I was treated like it was. When the girl at the desk informed me of the late arrival policy and she turned me away, I was shocked, as she pointed to a notice which was taped on the glass separating me from her. It said something to the effect of... late arrivals will not be seen. I informed her that I had not seen that notice when I was at my last appointment and that there was nothing on the website specifying any such policy. She just looked at me with a blank stare. I left there FUMING, swearing to never go back. Then a month or so later, to my utter amazement, I received a bill for the appointment I was turned away from. I then called my insurance company and reported these people and was assured that they were not about to pay for an appointment that I showed up for and was then denied. So, remember to always inform your insurance company if a doctors office tries to pull a fast one on you like these guys did to me. This is the worst business I've ever dealt with. These people obviously don't know how to run a business and should not BE in business. I've got some serious issues going on between my heart and lungs and I can't afford to be jerked around. Fortunately, my kids live in L.A. so I've decided to see specialists in that area. It's a slight hassle but well worth it to get the level of care that I can't seem to find here which actually also includes COMMUNICATING with the doctors office. As I said before, DO NOT GO HERE.

For us, it began as a sleep study to determine if my husband has sleep apnea. We had been referred to a few other sleep study providers, but frankly, they just seemed a bit "creepy", but that's just my gut reaction (not scientific!). Under the supervision of Pulmonologist, Dr. Joaquim Tavares, Luis manages the sleep studies and brings both expertise and compassion to his patients because he uses CPAP himself; when he discusses the benefits and other specifics he is completely authentic. In the context of helping a new user adjust to CPAP technology. Additionally, the whole Medicare, insurance, CPAP provider process was seamless. Follow up appointments with both Dr. Tavares and Luis have been informative and productive. Any questions and adjustments are done on the spot ( new devices are sophisticated and therefore more complicated. BRAVO!!!

Definitely will not be going here once I get the new insurance for my job.

However, since seeing him in his office and the last two visits with PA Steiner, my opinion has completely changed on these guys. First off I'll say, I will never go back here and I don't recommend them. As pulmonary doctors, having asthma, a PFT test should be done, but that's not the biggest issue. I have a history of pneumonia in my right lung along with other issues. The last time I saw PA Steiner, I was extremely sick with pneumonia and other issues. He did absolutely nothing for me. Didn't offer any medications, no advice, nothing. I fortunately decided to go to pulmonary at the VA. She immediately ran a boat load of blood tests, ordered a CT Scan and a PFT initially which after that one a more advanced one. So this is why I'm not recommending these guys.... The blood work came back showing issues, the CT of my lungs came back showing issues, I'm waiting for the second PFT. These guys are Intensive and Pulmonary and did absolutely nothing for me or made any attempt to diagnose me. Beware if you have serious pulmonary issues. I should not have to request or demand for them to do their job. I'll stick with the VA as these guys did not want to do anything to help me or earn my business or recommendation.
