On April 15, 2026, they helped us lay my mother to rest, and what they created was nothing short of breathtaking. Every detail--from the release of the doves, to the elegance of the mausoleum, the moving words of the preacher, the gentle touch of the organist, the stunning floral arrangements, the thoughtfully prepared food, and the seamless coordination of transportation--was handled with excellence and grace. It was not just a service; it was a beautiful homegoing celebration worthy of the life my mother lived. What truly set this experience apart was their heart. This team didn't just "do their job"--they walked alongside me. They checked in often, not out of obligation, but out of genuine care, always asking how I wanted to honor my momma. They listened. They guided. They supported. In one of the most difficult moments of my life, they made me feel seen, heard, and held. From the phenomenal ladies at the front office (yes, I absolutely adore you all--go on, girls!) to the dedicated team working behind the scenes, every single person demonstrated professionalism, patience, compassion, and class. Their ability to balance organization with empathy is truly a gift. If this were a performance, every member of this team would deserve an Emmy, a standing ovation, and more. But this wasn't a performance--it was real, sincere, and deeply meaningful service delivered with excellence. Thank you for helping me give my mother the farewell she deserved. You didn't just meet expectations--you exceeded them in every possible way. Bravo to each and every one of you. You are truly remarkable.

Watford after her transition on 7/7/2024. From our phone calls prior to the transition, to the first meeting to discuss the transfer of services from one local company to Beach Funeral Services, we were given the utmost respect and patient consideration for our desire to place our mother in the hands of a caring and thoughtful funeral agency. We arrived at Beach Services with a paid plan from Rosewood Kellam (UGH) and although Beach Services did not offer all of the options that were pre-paid thru the larger corporate funeral group, , Beach Funeral Services and staff matched as many of the options as they feasibly could and surpassed the corporate group in SOOOOO many ways without adding all of the line item cost that can occur with funeral arrangements. Our Mother was treated and handled like she was Queen Elizabeth and looked heavenly. Everything was royally honored. Service impeccable. Beach Services rendered such wonderful services, that many guest that knew my mother had made arrangements at other group, were initially side-eyeing us for making the change...BUT..BUT they were so VERY PLEASED and PROUD OF THE HOMEGOING MY MOTHER RECEIVED. MANY OF THEM ARE GOING TO CHANGE THEIR PLANS TO BEACH SERVICES! AMEN! SO BEACH FUNERAL SERVICES KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK~CONTINUE TO PROVIDE THE SERVICES OUR COMMUNITY DESIRES. YOU MAY BE DAVID COMPARED TO THE GOLIATH, BUT YOUR SINCERE COMPASSION TO SATISFY IS THE PUREST FORM OF RESPECT. THANK YOU ALL AND MAY YOU HAVE THE GREATEST SUCCESS AND EXPANSION YOU DESERVE. MAY YOU USE THE INFORMATION WE SHARED TO EXPAND YOUR SERVICE OPTIONS. I wish there was a 4.5 star…read more They were absolutely amazing here. We unfortunately had a death in the family on Thanksgiving Day. They were available right away and were so helpful and nice- we had the service this past Sunday. They prayed with the family before the service started and asked all guest to stand as we entered. They also made sure we were comfortable when it was time for the repast to begin. There were only a couple things that are a little on the negative side I want to mention...they informed us that they would provide the water which was not 100% the case. When we showed up with all our cases of soda there was no water, an employee overheard me ask for some and placed 2 small pitchers on the table with only 20+ cups. That I can remember no one stayed on top of it to make sure it stayed full- thank goodness we brought our own cups for"just in case moments" The last thing I want to mention is that they did not let the family exit the chapel first, and seat themselves at a table to eat. Once we arrived friends were already in line for food and family members were standing. Other funerals I have attended the family is seated and served first. Thankfully there was plenty of food, that just seemed a bit odd. Other than those 2 hiccups they took great care of us THANK YOU

I am writing this review after one of the most difficult experiences a parent can ever face--the…read morefuneral of my son. I made a formal, in-person complaint to Ron Vance, manager of Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, after the service. I explained to Mr. Vance that I wanted to know what policies, systems, checklists, training, or other procedures would be put in place to help ensure that another grieving family does not experience what we did. When a family loses a child, they are overwhelmed, grieving, and often incapable of thinking through every detail. In my opinion, this is exactly when an experienced funeral home should step forward and provide organization, guidance, and leadership. We did not receive that level of support. Before the funeral, our immediate family was placed in a separate room for what was supposed to be private family time. The window on the room was uncovered, and there appeared to be no system controlling who could enter. Friends began coming into the room without our permission. During the private viewing of my son, an unknown man whom none of us recognized entered. He performed what appeared to us to be some type of ritual over our son, kissed him, and then left. an unidentified person should never have been permitted to enter a private family viewing without the family's permission. That was deeply upsetting to us and should never have happened. They also allowed other people in who were not permitted. There were also numerous organizational problems surrounding the service. The person officiating the funeral apparently had not been given basic information about logistics, including how everyone was supposed to line up when entering the church. When we arrived, no one from the funeral home took assertive control and clearly explained where we were supposed to go, what we were supposed to do, or what was going to happen next. I found myself looking around for someone to give us direction at a time when I should have been focused solely on saying goodbye to my son. Right before the funeral, I was asked to go find all of the pallbearers so someone could explain their responsibilities to them. This was confusing and completely unnecessary at that moment. The pallbearers were known in advance. They should have been contacted, gathered, and given clear instructions the day before. Immediately before the service, I was also handed my son's death certificate. I couldn't understand why such an important document would be handed to a grieving parent at that particular moment. What was I supposed to do with it while walking into my son's funeral? There was no one directing traffic outside. After the service, friends told us they were confused about when they were supposed to leave and whether there was a reception. After the service; Our family was told to go to the reception area, but no one explained where it was. I finally had to ask the person from the funeral home to physically lead us there. Once we arrived, he simply opened the door and let us walk in without explaining where the family should stand or how people would enter. We naturally stopped near the entrance, which created a large bottleneck as everyone came through the same door. An experienced funeral director should have anticipated this and positioned our family farther inside the reception area so guests could enter and move through the room properly. There were also many areas where I believe we should have received more guidance during the planning process. How many photographs are appropriate for a memorial slideshow? How long should each photograph remain on the screen? How many speakers normally participate? How should those speakers be coordinated? How long should each person speak? How do you select or locate an appropriate church? Based on the circumstances, how many people should the family prepare for? A grieving family may have never planned a funeral before. A funeral home does this every day. Their experience should be used to guide families through decisions they may not even realize they need to make. A funeral is made up of dozens of small details, and when there is inadequate coordination, those problems accumulate. For the family, there is no opportunity to redo the day. That is ultimately why I spoke directly with Ron Vance and why I am writing this review. I cannot change what happened at my son's funeral. What I wanted from Mr. Vance was evidence that Hollomon-Brown would examine what went wrong and put meaningful procedures in place--checklists, communication protocols, systems, policies, clearly assigned responsibilities, and better guidance for grieving families--so that another mother or father doesn't have to manage logistics while trying to bury their child. Families place an extraordinary amount of trust in a funeral home during one of the worst days of their lives. Based on our experience, Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home did not provide the level of organization, guidance, communication and control.

I attended this location for the home-going services of a family friend. When driving, you must slow down or you'll miss the exit. There is plenty of parking, staff were extremely courteous and accommodating. Each pew had a box of tissues for mourners and the person selected to speak did a phenomenal job. They have a television on the left and right side of the room to allow for viewing of photos that were in a montage of the deceased. Everything was tasteful and timely. Not that I'm looking to give them any business anytime soon; but I do think they are affordable, professional and able to anticipate the needs of a grieving family without price gouging.

When we saw our son at the funeral home he looked like a perfect little boy sleeping. They did his makeup very naturally which is what I really appreciated. The makeup wasn't caked on and it actually made him look more alive than he did at the hospital. Not only that but they dressed him and put him in a swaddle accompanied with a teddy bear. Together my baby boy and the teddy bear looked so cute and I'm so glad they provided that to him because I felt a sense of relief that he wasn't alone. Sometimes it's the little details that matter. My son was beautiful and I want to thank Sheri Mathis for taking care of our son so so well.
