Outside patio.

My steak was one of the most delicious I have had in ages! My husband had the chicken and thought it was delicious as well. We sat at the bar and our service was very friendly, fast and efficient. We wanted to sit outside by the lake, but it was reserved for a private party. I did take pictures though. The ambiance inside is very nice albeit on the rustic side as it is a Pub. Parking is plentiful.

Honey garlic fried chicken

The ambience of Walt's was both classy and unique. We showed up on a Friday night at 7pm with no reservation and they got us right in. We ordered off of the "after 5pm menu" for about $19 a person and got the honey garlic fried chicken. It was perfectly crispy yet tender and had an AMAZING flavor. This meal also came with dinner bread and your choice of soup or salad. Then.... the entree came with 2 sides and the portions were giant! This place is definitely a bang for your buck and I would come back many more times.

I like the large seating areas here and variety of settings. From pub table at the bar to four top near the fireplace, to secondary bar or outdoor patio, a seating option for every size group. I've never had a bad meal here and the servers are helpful. The staff and chef are accommodating with event set up, such as graduation reception or staff appreciation lunch.

This local restaurant is located north of purdue campus in kind of a remote field off by itself. The building is a nice size and seats quite a bit of people. The lighting is dim in the dining area and is a bit loud so would not recommend if you are looking for a quiet dinner. I have been here a few times and each time the service has been below average. On one occasion it was almost 90 mins before food came out after ordering. We had four kids with us and it was very stressful with us ending up having to ask for crackers or bread to hold them over. The food itself has always been good and the portions are generous. The most recent visit, I got steamed vegetables for a side which turned out to be just broccoli and it was undercooked. I'd say the prices are average to just higher than average. We still return to eat occasionally but I would not consider us to be regulars here. We do know other folks that regularly dine at least a few times per month. Weekends there may be a bit of a wait for a table and typically is a popular place to go when there are high school formals or sporting events in the area so keep that in mind.

The second day I had the pork tenderloin sandwich. It was pounded not too thin, so the pork was still nice and juicy and the breading on it was quite flavorful. The daily special was flank steak fajitas and they were excellent. Steak was prepared very well and the onions, peppers and rice to go along with them were delicious. We shared a chicken quesadilla, which quite frankly I would go back and order as a main course next time because it is on the regular menu. It was made very well with the tortilla being cooked perfectly, and the chicken with a little bit of a spicy kick to it. Most importantly, we enjoyed the atmosphere at Hunters Pub with all the key sports on the televisions and not to loud. The service was exceptional. A very big thank you to Kimberly, who made our dinner much more enjoyable. She was very good at giving recommendations as to what we should pick off the menu.. Great personality and even better smile!

Amazing food Large portions…read moreGreat beer Live Irish music Reasonably priced Servers were great

I was so excited to go to what a thought would be a solid Irish restaurant. Reviews online were…read moregood and pictures looked good. We live in Indianapolis and were in the area so we were really looking forward to trying this place. However, the food was overpriced and low quality. I ordered the Connemara Chicken. This restaurant uses boxed Idaho flakes for their mashed potatoes. The kind you just add water to... the ones that are kind of like a paste texture. I could tell right away. The chicken tasted reheated/chewy and unflavored. The sauce wasn't bad but it had a unique flavor. I liked the vegetables (I loved that they were cooked well and not al dente) but my partner said they tasted unflavored to her. Honestly, I was most disappointed by the mashed potatoes. I don't know how an Irish restaurant- or any restaurant - doesn't use real potatoes. Especially when the dish costs $19. For that price, dehydrated flakes are absolutely crazy. I know inflation is high but come on. My dollar matters too and when I decide to dine out on a rare occasion I'd like to be getting quality food. I asked the waitress- who was very attentive and sweet- if this is what they always use for potatoes or if it was an off day and she said they always make them with the Idaho box of flakes. Again, she was super sweet and very attentive. We had no issues with service at all. But using fake mashed potatoes at a restaurant is really disappointing. Especially for the price. Also, the water. The first glass of water we were given tasted normal. The refill tasted super weird so my partner mentioned it. The waitress told us she knows it's weird, apologized, and said that the water in one area of the restaurant tastes weird but the other area tastes fine. She offered to get us water from the "good" faucet after that which we appreciated. Odd to me that they are aware the water tastes off/bad (and have an alternative that's better) but still serve the bad stuff to customers. My partner did really like her tenderloin sandwich. It was crispy and had good flavor. The pub chips were okay but they didn't have seasoning and many were dry/airy and as though they may have been sitting a while. Kinda weird. We talked about possibly coming back when they have live bands to give it another shot and maybe just get an appetizer instead of entrees because we really did like the service and the vibe there.

Seriously limited without a food menu when Harry's across the block serves a huge variety of eats,…read moreAJs down the block offers fantastic beers and burgers, and a plenty of restaurant across the river provide quality options. Good luck parking now with Chauncy under construction. Specials seem average but stuck with a silly plastic tumbler required to present for the discounts. Brothers is that awkward alternative for cheap drinks. I personally will go for Town and Gown in most cases but timing my first, surprising I know, visit after a decade in the area worked a charm. My buddy and I found an empty and fun bar with one excellent staff member serving. She explained the tap options then we discovered my first pick was drained. Went for the classic Blue Moon, he did a cocktail on the Beach then Baltimore Zoo, surprising how different both were to other places same named drinks. I would happily try again on a whim but even for the decently fair twenty bucks we dropped the missing food demands lower prices for less to digest while drinking.

The 25 cent wing Wednesdays are a joke. You have to wait in line an hour for them to get them at a random window, and they're pretty terrible. They'll also randomly run out after you've been waiting for a while with no warning. Go across the bridge into Lafayette for a better experience.

It's clean... modern, and actually feels like a place you'd want to hang out for a while rather than just grabbing a quick bite. I went with the "2 for 25" deal, which is basically the gold standard for getting a solid meal without overthinking the budget. The melted cheese cheeseburger plate (O-M-Cheese Burger) had lots of melted cheese and the cheese under the fries was super delicious and the lime chicken with rice was for tomorrow's dinner, so wife got the Chicken Alfredo and our friends both ordered the beef sandwich with beef dip - they stated they would buy all the items again.
