    BLT and floppy truffle fries.
    Frank T.

We came in on our way to CIN. We sat outside and the service and staff were amazing. We ordered our soda's and then decided to split the BLT and an order of the truffle fires. The BLT was great! lots of crispy bacon. The truffle fries were wimpy. there were a few crispy ones but totally disappointing. We mentioned it to our server who graciously brought us another order. It was slightly better. But way too soft. They said they were double fried, but they didn't taste like it. Not planning to return.

I found this gem here on yelp while visiting town for graduation. It was everything I hoped it would be and more! The service was great, our waiter was friendly, the vibes were moody and modern, the food was DELICIOUS! We made a reservation and I would absolutely recommend that because they were super busy. 10/10 experience!!

East End Grill was excellent! We were promptly seated at the time of our reservation and had excellent service throughout our meal. Very clean and modern feel, but I wouldn't say cozy. They have a small sidewalk patio for outdoor dining. We each had a cocktail, and entree, and we shared the roasted cauliflower appetizer. This appetizer was excellent. We asked for the harissa on the side but I would just go ahead and have it on the dish next time. I had the hanger steak and I'll be dreaming of that cowboy butter for a long time. That was so good! My steak was perfectly cooked and I enjoyed the roasted potatoes on the side. I'd like to visit EEG next time I'm in town and I highly recommend you do too!!

Spinach & Candied Bacon Salad (with avocado and shrimp)

Brought my parents in for dinner and we ate at the bar. Austin was an excellent server and took great care of us. I had the Spinach & Candied Bacon Salad (added avocado and shrimp); it was really good and the avocado added a great juxtaposition of texture against the candied bacon and crispy chickpeas. My dad ordered the Flank Steak Tacos and liked them, but my mom couldn't stop raving about her Mushroom Ragu! We had such a great time we came in the following night for a nightcap of the Amarula Ethiopian Coffee Cream Liqueur that was on the dessert menu. Definitely the right choice. It was dangerously good and you could get in some real trouble sipping on that deliciousness.

We came on a Thursday evening after a campus tour and this seemed to be a good option for dinner. We ordered the wagyu burger, flank steak tacos and the flatbread with prosciutto as appetizer. Service was great and our waitress was very nice. The flatbread was average in flavor, the tacos were very good and the burger was tasty and delicious. We dined at the patio and they had music which made our night out great. Loved it

Always great food and service at East End Grill! I wish I remembered our servers name because she was the sweetest and just had the perfect timing to stop by the table and check on us. Food was excellent as always. Stone fruit burrata was so amazing we ordered a second one for the table. I could have had a plate to myself for dinner! But I got the halibut and it was 5 stars delicious. Everything we ordered was so delicious and presentation was lovely. We discovered East End Grill my daughter's freshman year at Purdue and have been going back ever since. We love this place!

A few months ago we were here and had a really really top notch meal. We were heading back home from Chicago thru Lafayette and decided to stop by. Well the menu had changed considerably. No meat and cheese tray and no salmon. Decided to try the salmon burger and got a Caesar Salad. The salad this time was served on the side of the plate with the salmon burger. It was not as big as previous visit. The salmon burger was way too soft and squishy and barely warm and really lacked flavor. Very disappointed. Husband said his hamburger was ok. His salad was also served on the plate with the burger. Went away just underwhelmed today. Service was good and our drinks were kept filled.

Hanger steak with roasted fingerling potatoes, snow peas and cherry tomatoes.

Had some business up in Lafayette this evening and found this gem in a quaint neighborhood thanks to Grok. The place was packed but we found a couple seats at the bar and Alicia was on point with a bubbly attitude, recommendations and service! Note, for being completely packed, the noise level was moderate, surprisingly! We loved that! We started with the truffle fries, sadly no picture. But a huge basket of hand cut, double fried potatoes, covered with Parmesan cheese and herbs. The truffle aioli was so good. There are enough fries for 4 people! My gf went with the hanger steak with chimichurri sauce along with roasted fingerling potatoes, snow peas and cherry tomatoes. I decided to try the pan seared duck breast with glazed carrots and cauliflower puree. Both were amazing, everything seasoned just right and cooked perfectly. If I had one critique, it would be the plating of the vegetables on my gf's plate, they looked to just be tossed onto the plate at last minute. They were still delicious though! We topped off the fabulous meal with a coconut cake with pineapple filling. We will be back.

Another great night at East End Grill! Our server was Michael. He really knew his stuff! Made great suggestions and really knows the menu. We all orders something different and shared. While we felt that the cheesy grits and the Cole slaw were bland (optional sides), all the entrees were phenomenal. Don't miss out on this Lafayette gem!

Bacon, lettuce, tomato with fresh cut fries

So, continuing on In Lafayette, Indiana lunch for the day was an outstanding spot. Make sure you make a reservation this place gets packed. Everything looked so good but after eating an entire scone earlier I thought lets go lite. Well this wasn't true at all. This bacon, lettuce, tomato sandwich came out with a huge side of fresh cut fries.. I also opted for extra bacon which wasn't needed but oh well. These fries were so good crunchy on the outside and soft inside, needless to say I left so full. I must also let you know the taco's looked so good, but this will be for next time.

Everything! Food was excellent and service great. The housemade cauliflower curry was so fabulous.

I went to Purdue University for a campus recruiting event for my company. I asked one of my co-workers that just graduated from Purdue her recommendations and she steered me to East End Grill! I walked and the place was packed! The restaurant was really nice inside and the patrons were all having a good time with the food and conversations. Since I was solo, I sat at the bar. I placed my order for takeout but decided to stay and the bartender quickly changed my order and set my area up at the bar w/ utensils. I ordered the falafel dinner and house truffle fries. The dinner had 3 falafel pieces which were flat versus the traditional round shape. it came in in a bed of hummus and drizzled with a garlic sauce. It came with grilled pita triangles which had a perfect char taste. The falafel was coked nicely and had a soft texture on the inside and crisp on the outside. The flavors were traditional. Let's talk about the truffle fries which can be risky. This was a shareable but if I was with others, I don't think I would share! They were so good with the right amount of truffle and cooked nicely. The price I paid for both was approx. $25 and was well worth it!!! Anytime you are in Purdue make your way to the East End Grill and be sure you order the fries!!!! You will not want to share it!!!

Loved the vibe of East End Grill. I was in town with my 16 year old daughter for a volleyball tournament and I let her choose our dinner spot on a Friday evening. We had a short 20-minute or so wait for our table, which was no problem as we took a short walk around the neighborhood. She ordered the cheeseburger and had asparagus ($2 upcharge) for her side. I had a 12 oz pork chop covered in a peach BBQ sauce. Sides were fingerling potatoes and grilled green beans. Wonderful meal. The drink menu looked interesting, but since I was there with my daughter, took a pass on it that night. I look forward to returning!

Sadly the…read moremenu has wildly bloated numbers double what many similar restaurants offer, Town and Gown, Bistro 501, RedSeven deliver and reach above expectations unlike the dull expensive dry roast recently eaten this past week. I cannot comprehend this place, after four visits with friends, unable to recommend any dish or drink as a standout win up against the cost. Let me nail down each dish we had this past Wednesday, the grilled bacon was entirely fine, quite tough but nice fatty flavors, I like Teay's River candied bacon app better. Oyster was good, east coast briny does me right. Our Old Fashioneds were insanely expensive without offering any memorable flavors, balance seemed restrained neither giving a forward bite or a smooth sweetness. Strawberry Lemon sprits was similar, an overpriced kid's slushy. Asparagus was fine. Potato sides surprisingly flavorless, we all couldn't believe how dull the potatoes were. My sister's salmon looked half the size of Town and Gown's while costing fifty percent more and offering half the food. She did finish the ocean protein but left most of the rice. Thankfully the desserts were better, bread pudding somewhat dry and needing a sparkle of that smooth actual pudding but the winner was definitely the key lime. Rich and dense, dreamy and tangy, I got happy! Sure the atmosphere and staff is enjoyable, providing some fresh city vibes compared to the homely and old school Mountain Jacks. However Jacks and Mcgraws Steakhouse both do far better as culinary is concerned. Would be exciting to see this place fix up their inconsistency, out of touch pricing, or they'll be the next to go the way of Bowen Bistro during the next economic crash.

We were celebrating our anniversary so it was a special night for us. Our waitress was super but stretched thin so she wasn't as attentive as she probably was on another night. This is a very upscale place. Decor and service reflect that. Good old fashioned steakhouse vibe. Oysters Rockafeller were perfect. Bread was fresh and absolutely delicious. He had American Wagyu Ribeye. I had Steak Oscar. Both were cooked appropriately. Maybe slightly under seasoned as we both added salt which is not typical for us. The Old Fashioned was really good and they had a wide selection of wine/beer and a handful of specialty cocktails. Our 2nd round of drinks was comped due to slow service at the bar and dessert was on the house for our anniversary which we really appreciated. We will definitely go back and try other things on the menu. Our steaks were good but I wouldn't say they were worth the price. $110 for his and $80ish for my Oscar. It was a filet with truffled hollandaise sauce and a scant amount of King Crab. They no longer serve King Crab due to the cost. Strange. If we would pay $110 for a steak why wouldn't we pay for King Crab due but that was a minor detail. I wouldn't say have preferred more crab...give me snow crab. The dessert was delightful. Baked Alaska served table side with plenty of rum. Thank you for making us feel valued and special!

Last time I got the lobster bisque and it may have been the best I've ever had. I ordered it again and it was terrible. Just terrible. Tasted kind of bitter and was much too dark for a lobster bisque. The side dishes are enormous and they were all ok. The charred broccoli is an entire stalk thrown on a grill. Char on outside, raw on inside. Lovely. My American Wagyu bone-in strip was good, though it tasted no different than prime meat and did cost $95. I would have hoped for better than just 'good'. Family enjoyed most items. I sampled the wedge and really liked that. Probably best part of the meal. Oysters were excellent. Drinks are always good here. They have upgraded their rum list and have some high quality ones now. That's great! Service is always top notch. I will definitely be back for happy hours. The food at this restaurant is good. But when 2 adults and 3 kids drop $800 on a meal, it really ought to be fantastic, not just good.
