I'm glad, because with it being slightly off the 'main drag' in Middletown, we might not have seen it otherwise. We arrived towards the end of the dinner rush hour, and fortunately were seated over by where a musician was playing. It was a busy night, and we were tired and hungry from a day at the faire. As it was busy, there were sportsball games going and the musician playing, shouting was required for discussion and we had some funny misunderstandings YOUR GRAPE IS ON THE MOON? WHAT? Oh, your gravy is a little cool! :) The musician was great, playing lots of 70s and 80s hits, and he seemed to enjoy us singing along and dancing. We are, after all, rennies. We're glad he was enjoying us as much as we were enjoying his music. We got drinks and menus quickly, and our server was attentive without being pushy. After a few minutes looking over the menu, she appeared and we ordered. I got the Stampede Burger, while one of my friends got the Prime Dip sandwich (AKA French Dip), and one got chicken fingers. All came in reasonable time and were quite good, hearty food. So, why the one star off? Dessert. Could we have a brownie sundae? Out of brownies. OK, how about chocolate cake? Out of that, too. Uh...red velvet? Out. Basically everything chocolate. Sigh. Yeah, it was busy but not insane. We ended up not getting dessert, and it was disappointing. Whoever's managing food orders and prep, please do better. Also, if it's not available, it would have been great for the server to say so up front, that way she didn't have to tell us no 3 times. Parking in a private lot, plentiful. We would go again, we just will plan on dessert elsewhere.

The bar was full and most of the tables in the dining area were full. We opted to sit towards the front that has a few booths. Also, the place is a "Seat Yourself" establishment. The customer service was amazing, as both of our waitresses were the sweetest. We ordered Lemon Pepper wings, Jerk Chicken Empanadas, and Tuscan Chicken. We also had these watermelon mocktails the bartender whipped up for us that were sooooo good. Although the food took a long time to come out, it was certainly worth the wait! The wings were cooked and seasoned to perfection. The Tuscan Chicken was good and well portioned also. However, the star of the show was the Jerk Chicken Empanadas! They must have marinated that chicken for at least 1-2 days because the jerk taste was so powerful. Tasted like it was made on the streets of Jamaica. The sauce that comes with it was the perfect pairing as well. The food was so good, I went back the next day with my husband so he could try. They also have DJ's on Fridays and I believe Karaoke on Thursdays. I will for sure be visiting again to try more from their menu.

I ordered the tuna poke bowl and it had great flavor. The common theme across everyone's order was that it was massive, everyone took food home. RESERVATIONS: Didn't seem like it was necessary unless you have a large party like we did. PARKING: Plenty of free stalls. MENU: About as big, bountiful and similar to The Cheesecake Factory, including sushi. BEVERAGE: Strawberry Mint Lemonade The taste of watermelon was chief. Very refreshing with a good alcohol to mixers ratio. FOOD: French Onion Soup Textbook recipe but there but there was very little broth, which was unfortunately lukewarm and an over abundance of cheese. It was topped with French fried onions that provided pleasurable texture and some added flavor. Tommy's Original Coal Oven Roasted Wings (10 pcs.) An equal mix of drumettes & wingettes, mildly seasoned, nicely roasted & charred in all the right places, topped with cooked onions and a big green pepper. The ranch dressing was definitely needed for a flavor boost. A rarely-offered, healthier alternative to traditional deep-fried wings. Penne Vodka with Chicken The small portion I tried was good, not great. The vodka sauce wasn't as tasty or rich as my benchmark version at Marcos Grill & Deli (Maui). SERVICE: Female server was friendly but there was no follow up. Food & beverage took a while to come out. OVERALL: Conventional place that'll satisfy most folks.

Instead, I allowed patience to prevail....I ordered their wings. They looked different than your average wings, so I figured give it a try. They were/are absolutely heavenly. Not sure what they do with them. They don't seem fried, but they are HUGE, succulent, and served with a big pepper and onions, two of my best friends. The wings came out hot, and they were so plentiful, I had to box my order because I was full. (Okay, I filled up on beer. Shoot me. I love beer, and their tap prices are so low compared to NYC). I also ordered fries, and I'll be damn, they were great as well. 4/5 experience. There was a male bartender who was clearly caught up in himself and I could tell he felt like I was competition and he completely ignored me. Cool. No problem. I was able to gain help from a really nice female bartender who waited on me despite dude's responsibility at my section of the bar. I'll definitely come back when traveling through Delaware. Sorry that Nordstrom is now closed. But, this spot is super solid. They have plenty of monitors. My only issue is that I walked in on a sunny July day at 6:00PM and the inside is so dark, it took about 15 minutes for my eyes to adjust. Cool spot. I'd bring a casual date or partner while passing through on I-95. Now that Nordstrom is closed, I have a good reason to stop by. The bang for the buck is amazing in today's age.

With plenty of outside seating and perfect views of all the boating action on the canal Schaefer's is the perfect spot for an early dinner. While the place is always busy, especially when the weather is nice, we were seated within 15 minutes---just enough time to order a few drinks from the large outside bar. Our server was exceptional given the number of tables he seemed to be handling as he stopped at our table frequently between trips to other tables and getting orders in. I think it was great he had help---our appetizers and food were brought to the table by another staff allowing our server to focus on taking orders and getting them to the kitchen---a very well run restaurant! We had the Fresh Berries & Greens salad---Served with honey raspberry dressing, gorgonzola cheese, mandarin oranges and toasted almonds. Portion was on the larger size and worth the price. Also tried one of their specials for the day--a Mediterranean garlic chicken flatbread and it was baked to a crispy crust and topped with a balsamic glaze. Highly recommend if you see it on the menu. While we waited for our dinners we sipped on a couple glasses of red blend and enjoyed their Chips & Salsa which included Tortilla chips served with tomato and mango salsa and guacamole. Chips were fresh, the mango salsa had a nice kick, and the guac was tasty and not bland. An appetizer very much worth trying! Lastly, if you go on Saturday's during the summer there will be live entertainment....sound was just about right for an outdoor venue.

My lobster, shrimp, crab and asparagus soup was nice with every spoonful being a different bisque. My crab melt was, meh. Backfin crab, that didn't resemble crab imperial, too many shell fragments in addition to filler, an invisible slice of tomato and a very dense pretzel roll made for a very mediocre experience. A companion had coconut shrimp, which he liked. Another had a crabcake, which like mine was backfin meat with a lot of filler. She was unimpressed. Another had crab tacos, which she said were "fine". She also had sweet potato fries with a marshmallow dipping sauce. Do I need to rate that? (Our friends are from coastal Maryland and they were convinced we were not eating Maryland crab.) The restaurant is large with water views and clean bathrooms. Lastly, the service: Sophia was 10 out of 5. Checked on us often, went to lengths to ensure she got our orders right, and was a delight to interact with...and her pen collection was impressive, both for me and the mechanical engineer in our party. We all wish you well with the remainder of your education. All in all was just okay for $180 for lunch for four, including tip, with no alcohol.
