They quoted me $550-$650 for the timing belt + water pump, with the caveat that because the belt went while we were moving we might also need a valve job, which would be $900. The valves did end up needing doing, and we left for $1,450. But not only did they do the belt / pump / valves for the lower end of their estimate, they also replaced all the plugs and did a mini tune up. No charge. And then we realized a day later that there was a little sticker in the upper corner of our windshield - they'd snuck in an oil change as well. They even put the higher mileage stuff in there for us. So cool. Great service, and everyone was super friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Easily the strangest and most unenjoyable experience in my near 25 years of owning and maintaining a car. Not only was their diagnosis of my car filled with inaccuracies (inspiring a chuckle from two different mechanics in the area who reviewed their diagnosis and ended up doing the maintenance work), their repair shop then held my car hostage after doing work that I did not authorize. Their manager was incredibly rude and unprofessional. I asked to speak to the owner, who not surprisingly was "in Florida" and unavailable. I ended up paying with credit card to get my car freed, and after talking to the local police who didn't seem a bit surprised by my experience when I told them where I was. I ended up disputing the charges with my credit card company and got a refund for the work I didn't authorize. That was more than a year and a half ago and none of the "problems" they wanted to charge me over $4,000 for have ever been an issue - not even after two inspections and an additional 15k miles on the vehicle. I think I've had to put in maybe $1,000 combined since my nightmare experience with this business - so clearly something was off. The only reason I am giving them a 1 is because a 0 isn't an option. I called on a Friday afternoon, explained my situation - Chris in the Service Dept. said drop it off Friday night - and at 10:30am Saturday I am already back in my truck. I didn't need much work, but I am still marveled that they took care of my needs so quickly. I have been a Hondru Ford Customer for 15yrs - even though I have lived in southern VA for the last 10yrs. When I needed a new truck they helped me out and even shipped it down to my front door. I obviously don't get to use the service often, but you better believe that if I still lived here I would use them for everything. They go above and beyond to accommodate and the treat you like a real person when discussing your needs and maybe the things that they see on the horizon as far as service.

Val Conte calls me and identifies himself as the director of Hondru. He asks me what the problem is, and as I begin to tell him he cuts me off mid sentence so often that I had to tell him to STOP. I explained his employee began a negotiation and then turned to a manipulative lie to get me to the desk. (The term 'GET THEM TO THE DESK.' Is a hack salesmans tool to move you to a decision where the deck is in the favor of the Dealership. They use urgency, emotion, time spent, and fawning concern to manipulate you into making a foolhardy decision.) I asked him directly if the deal his employee had agreed to was within his power and he immediately talked over me. "No one is going to win if you are not going to be reasonable." Was his attempt at bringing me back to the negotiation. His only reason for the call was to get this review removed. The car I was interested in is rather rare. And that was the only reason I began talking to the sales people at Hondru. I and my family have been in all facets of the car business since the 1930's and we can all call Tom Freysinger, John Sutliff, Gary Lawrence, and Danny Sunderland friends of many years. I suggest you look those 4 up as dealership owners and representatives of fair and honest car dealers.
