Chicken pot pie was gummy on top and burned on the bottom. Other items were burned, charred and inedible and was surprised it was served like that. Chili also had a burned taste to it with burned pieces in the mix. Basically spent $80+ on an entire meal that was thrown away. Flippant attitude from employees. Would not recommend.

Vulfpeck veggie wrap + Bacon..

The bf and I made a day trip to Pismo for my bday, we planned to try a new place to eat. There's a…read morelot of options by Pismo pier to choose from, but Hoagies stood out to me. He had tried it before, so this was my first time here. As I looked over the menu everything sounded good and pics of the food helped me make my final choice for lunch. The service was excellent, the cashier was friendly and patient with us ordering (since it was my first time here). We decided to sit in the patio area since it was nice day, even though there was a little bit of construction noise next door, it didn't take away from hearing the great music selection. Moments later a server brought out the food, everything smelled and looked delicious. He ordered fish N' chips w/upgraded garlic fries, (we love garlic fries!) some of the best garlic fries we've had, every bite was garlicky & dipped in ranch...mmmmm perfect combo. The fish was tender but crispy bites from the batter. I ordered the Pismo wrap (could be shared), I was not expecting it to be so packed with all the fillings. It was stuffed with sliced tri-tip, curly fries, avocado, pepper jack cheese, and bbq sauce. Every bite was so satisfying, flavorful and had a little bit of everything. Some saltiness from the fries to sweetness from the bbq sauce, well balanced (I did add some cholula sauce because I enjoy some spiciness). Definitely added as a stop when doing a day trip to Pismo. I'll be recommending friends/family to make a stop at Hoagies if they're ever in the area and they're looking for a chomp because a bite isn't enough. So after all the shopping/walking, pick up some Hoagies and head to the beach (which is walking distance), because great food deserves a great view!

I decided to give Hoagie's a try -- I usually go elsewhere for my cod wrap when in the area. I…read morerequested the cabbage and tomato instead of curly French fries inside the wrap -- and fries came on the side, anyway. The counterperson taking my order kept saying lettuce, and I repeated a few times, you mean cabbage, since that's what is written on the menu, and they seemed a bit confused.. But it did come with lettuce, not cabbage (?). Hmm. The fish was okay, but not fried to enough of a crisp, so it was not crunchy. It was also a relatively small amount of cod in the the burrito wrap. I say burrito wrap as the tortilla was pretty thick and barely toasted. I did see other patrons sitting at the tables with much toastier-looking wraps, and it looked like the steak wrap came in a wheat tortilla. So is there more than one kind of tortilla? The tartar sauce was middle of the road and there was not enough of it in the wrap for my tastes - I like sauce. But I could not get more for the side, as the line was out the door by the time I discovered I could use more tartar sauce! So while it was fine, and the fish seemed fresh, I was somewhat disappointed, and did not munch this wrap with the zeal that I do the one from the other locale in town where I typically buy the killer cod wrap. The curly fries were good and well salted. Lots of people sitting outside; tables could've been cleaned better. Maybe staff should come out and wipe them down periodically.

This is the Pismo wrap with curly fries. I'm not easily impressed, but this wrap did not disappoint.

I opted to do a trio with the bahn mi, tip o' Argentina, and the garlic fries. The food was good I forgot to take a picture! The tip o' Argentina was solid with the garlic aioli and the chimmichurri perfectly complimenting the steak and the lettuce and tomato adding a little bit of freshness. The buns they use for all of their sliders are soft, slightly sweet, and don't fall apart while you're eating. The Bahn Mi was even better. I love pork but was a little skeptical about pulled pork on a slider riffing on the flavors of a bahn mi. To my surprise and delight, it tasted just like grilled Vietnamese pork, which was perfectly complimented by the fresh and pickled veggies and surprisingly hot jalapeño. Finally, I got the garlic fries which were a massive portion, crisp, and very garlicky. Everything was good and with such a large and customizable menu, I'd definitely return if I was in the area again. I also want to give a shout out to the bartender, Kelsey. I sat at the bar and her service was attentive and she was very knowledgeable about the menu. We got the opportunity to chat for a bit and I loved her vibe, so definitely consider sitting at the bar if you're dining solo or with a friend.

A slider, a salad, and a brussels sprouts side, no problem! As a person who likes variety, I thought it was a great menu. Of course, the menu is not the only part of the restaurant. Service was great, parking was easy (once we found the place - our GPS had us go to a different parking lot first), and the food tasted good. Would love to go again, would seek it out if I'm in town again.

We got the Shekamoo Plate ($32) which easily feeds two and is packed with so much flavor. For our two kebabs, we picked the saffron chicken and koobideh. Our favorite was the chicken which was juicy, tender, and so delicious! The koobideh was a little dry but pairing it with the shallot yogurt made it better. The plate comes with many sides - the soft and warm pita bread with a bright, flavorful hummus, the cool and refreshing shallot yogurt and shirazi salad, and grilled onions and tomatoes. The kebabs sat in a bed of saffron rice which we found to be ok. But overall the presentation was beautiful in the dishes they came out in! We were only disappointed that at the time we went (4:30pm'ish on a Friday) , they were out of the eggplant dip which we were so looking forward to trying based on other reviews. And because I didn't plan it out well (I forgot the shekamoo plate already had hummus) we ended up with more hummus than we wanted when we subbed our eggplant dip order with hummus instead. However the pita chips were really good and I can only imagine it would've been amazing with the eggplant dip! Great service, friendly front counter young lady. The owner came out to check on us too which I really appreciate!
