Food here is great. The only complaint I would have here is highly understaff. Floors was so greasy in dinning room you could see people's foot prints. One girl running both the dinning room and drive thru granted she is doing it like a champ and best she can but manager or owner or who ever is in charge of staffing failed her tonight. It took on average 10-15 min for an order to be placed due to after one customer she had to hop to drive thru then after back to dinning. Dinning room was running out of items like straws,ketchup where customers were looking for ways to help the poo I hope they fIx this soon. One of the best burgers I have had in a very long time. The onion rings are also very tasty! It is a NOT, I repeat, IT IS NOT A fast food restaurant so food is made to order . Nice and fresh, just like I like it. The owner Adam was there when I visited and was very friendly as well as the other staffers. Wanna Burger Pros: Structurally sound classic burger, crispy and lightly seasoned sweet potato fries, friendly service Cons: Awkwardly setup parking that can make a long drive-thru line block in some patrons, slightly long wait time around lunch time. I went through the drive-thru on December 29th a little after noon. There were 4 cars in the drive-thru line which blocked the front parking area from being used. The wait was slightly long but the car in front of me appeared to have a fairly large order. This was my first time at Wanna Burger so I ordered a single patty Wanna Classic. The pleasant woman taking the order through the intercom mentioned that they have Sweet Potato fries which we're not listed on the menu I could see. My final order was a Wanna Classic, waffle cut sweet potato fries and a diet Dr. Pepper. The total came out to $7.40 and I included a $1.00 tip. I drove home, around 10 minutes, and the burger and fries we're both mostly cold. This was expected and did not effect my enjoyment. I would describe the burger as simple but effective. The patty is not exceptionally thick or thin. Everything was seasoned well and the tomatoes we're of a decent quality considering the time of the year. The sweet potato fries we're the high point. Lightly salted they maintained their crispness and traveled well without being greasy. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that nothing blew me out of the water. This is easily a step above the average fast food burger. I will be back! read more

Do not eat here if you value your health. The bathrooms were without air conditioning and were worse than the ones in third world countries I've traveled through. A pest control tech showed up as our food was being served. He was spraying in front of a fan that was aimed in our direction. Only been there like 3 times. First two times the lady working the drive through is playing on her. Working in slides and pajama pants. So unprofessional. 3rd time we go inside. The same lady is playing on her phone and her kids are in the dining area loud with no shoes on. She's taking orders and fussing at these kids at the same time. This time she's in slides and no bra. Just swanging and banging. The girl who brings our food hands us our forks but shes holding the forks by the part we put in our mouth. Wanna Burger? Not anymore. We had such high hopes for place, especially with all the great reviews. This was our first visit here and the last. Upon arrival the person that took our order was super friendly, repeated our order, and was happy to have first time guests. But then things went south. We're pretty sure the people that ordered after us got our order, then we think after they remade our order they packaged it to go and it sat for a while. As we waited for our food we watched these nice looking plates with nice looking burgers come out. Burgers not wrapped in paper and smashed and I can only assume their sides were hot. Ours came out tossed on a plate, burgers wrapped in paper and smashed, onion rings and fries cold. They made fresh sides for us, but that just left us with either waiting and eating even colder burgers or eating the burgers then the sides later. My burger really didn't taste very good almost like the BBQ sauce was bad and my burger was paper thin, was not expected that either. We spoke to the person (night supervisor) that took our order about the entire ordeal and how awful our food was compared to what we had seen. She said she would refund our money; she left, and then brought back a duplicate copy of the receipt with nothing on it showing a refund. Still haven't seen the refund, was told if it didn't show up to come back in and get the cash, yeah, no thanks. If a refund was issued my bank would have posted it. I guess she just wanted us to leave her alone. It's not really about the money, though it sucks paying for food and not eating it. In the Sherman area, this is the number one burger spot for students attending Austin College. This place has good burgers, good prices, good food, and especially good people. I had a delicious and delightful experience with all of those factors involved. A little while ago, I had taken the decision to get myself some dinner because I missed the timing to go to my college cafeteria. As a result of my craving, I drove myself to Wanna burger to get my usual Mushroom Burger and 6 wings. Naturally, the food is very delightful. They did have good spacing so they are doing their best dealing with the pandemic. Just as I was seating myself in my car after that amazing dinner, my car battery had unexpectedly died. Truth be told, I was a little frantic after a while of not being able to start my car considering that this was my first car problem. Fortunately, the cashier saw me struggling and offered to help me. I did not want to trouble her so I only asked if she could just give me a number for a tow truck that drives late at night. I had a bit of a conversation with the tow truck company since they had changed a few work hours to deal with Covid. In the end, I had accepted her offer to jump start my car and she even gave me direction to the nearest auto shop to get my battery charged up. Just ordered a triple, tater rounds and a corn dog from Texoma Delivery. I was initially extremely irritated because the burger had no cheese on it but I ate it anyway and it was still very delicious. The tots were good, crispy, fresh and tasted amazing dipped in ketchup. The corn dog was my favorite item as it was a very good size, fresh and tasted fantastic. The no cheese thing is the only reason for not having the 5th star. I'll def order again when I'm in the mood for a tasty burger and corn dog but I will be sure to request cheese! read more

This place is great! The food is so delicous, and the atmosphere is great. French fries are great, and the chicken tenders. Oh, the tenders. This place is really pretty decent. Their burgers have a good flavor and aren't too greasy, and their fries...well, they're delicious in the best "this salty processed food is going to kill me" kind of way. I don't like the toppings they use--mealy tomato, shredded iceberg and sad pickles just drag the burger down and you might as well not even include them. The bun is also "meh." They also make shakes, which are a wee bit watery and cheap tasting, but they're also...cheap! And they're made with real ice cream and not some mix. So if you're in the area, check this place out--it's a solid meal, and it's very reasonably priced. read more
