The Eggsquisite Café has recently moved to Sherman, TX. I had heard of them, but never tried one. Recently, Wifey and I were looking for a place to eat and we remembered hearing about and seeing the new establishment and decided it was a perfect time to give them a try. WOW!! Are we ever glad we did?!? Not only was the food great, the beautiful and modern look inside provided a great experience and atmosphere. The service was also very friendly and focused. I tried one of their 'starters' as my meal and I have to say it was fabulous. The tater tot dish (That's My Jam Tots) is now a favorite and something I will probably order whether I intend to share it with the whole table or not. The photo backdrop was a neat idea, as well. If there was one drawback, it would be the minor issue of asking for a Dr. Pepper to go and they sent me out the door with a Diet Coke!! LOL. I moved here in November and within months, Eggsquisite became my default. And I mean that in the best possible way. I made a rule for myself: try something new every visit. So far I've worked through the avocado toast, the salmon toast, the eggs Benedict, and the smash burger. Every single one has been repeatable. Not everything on any menu is for every person, but I haven't found my 'not for me' here yet. What keeps me coming back beyond the food is the commitment to quality. You can taste it. I had breakfast for lunch here on my last day in town one day in December. I had a biscuit and the eggs Benedict and enjoyed both. The biscuit was flatter than some (rather than fluffy) but tasty and butter soaked. The eggs Benedict was yummy and came with shoe-string style hash browns. Came in with a large group on Sunday. There was a wait to be seated and when they did seat us they figured out that more table was needed. Food was excellent. Service was very good, as normal. I posted a review on social media about a complaint and apparently the owner is monitoring social media for issues. I wasn't even checked out and was spoken to about the issue. I'm not sure how I feel about that. I am impressed that they care so much that they are constantly monitoring but a bit appalled at being confronted for a honest review. I am sure this will be seen by the owner as well. Would I recommend this restaurant for large groups? Yes, on any day but Sunday after Church if you are in any time constraints. read more

We popped in for Easter brunch today. The interior is fresh and beautiful and clean and the owners manager and staff were very kind attentive and helpful. My guests with me ordered the French dip and mashed potatoes. They mentioned it was fine but nothing to write home about. I ordered the banana split French toast. It had creme brulee bananas, fresh mixed berries and a macaroons "filling" however when it came to the table it was in a waffle ice cream cone stuck into the French toast. The display and plating was phenomenal and the banana and fresh fruit were very good. The French toast, however, was a bit dry. I think we will be back on a normal Saturday and try something else. Exceptionally good breakfast. A well-managed restaurant, staffed with outstanding employees. Excellent service. A very cozy but, busy busy diner environment. Sunday morning and patrons were lined up on the sidewalk out front. The waiting area inside was packed. Normally I would have done a U turn. I have to know, is Eggsquisite Café really that good? We got in line. Out front a pleasant young lady was managing the waiting list. A great process using the Yelp App. Give her your phone number and you are in queue. What is cool about this that you can check on the Yelp App to see where you are on the wait list. Watch it count down as your turn gets closer. You don't have to watch it though. When you are up, you will get a text. I like this process. 20 minutes passed and we were seated by the friendly host. Inside the restaurant was packed. Within seconds, Byron E. our server was at the table to get our drink order. So, at this point I have interacted with 3 employees. Each carried a big bright smile and radiated a welcoming hospitable attitude. It appears that management picks the right employees and the employees enjoy their work. The restaurant is well-staffed. Employees hustling everywhere. Keeping things moving smoothly. Tables bussed promptly, cleaned and the next patron in queue is seated. The seats stayed warm. Reoccupied in minutes. I ordered my usual. Check the pictures. My wife ordered biscuits and gravy with 2 eggs on the side. There was no question in my mind that the food would exceed expectations. Even with the establishment packed wall to wall; the food was out in minutes. Yes, the kitchen must be efficient and as well managed as the rest of the operation. The food was perfect. Then there is the special coffee served. My cup said Segafredo Zanetti® Coffee Crafted Like No Other®. It is a nice cup of coffee. Be sure to try it. When paying my bill up front, the lady aske me "How was everything?" I replied Eggsqusite! She chuckled. I'm sure that wasn't the first time that she had heard that response. read more

I chose this restaurant as an alternative to the vast options of small and large chain breakfast spots along US HWY 75. I am so glad that I did! I was encouraged by the crowded parking lot in front of the entrance and seemingly large amount of people inside. I walked in and was immediately greeting (with a smile and a "good morning") and escorted to a table near the front windows. The waitress helping me was very nice, witty, and welcoming. The food options are fantastic. Whether you're looking for a hearty cowboy, ranch style, or good ol' southern breakfast or a healthy serving of fresh avocado on thick grain toast with eggs and fruit (I added a side of bacon), they've got you covered. Honestly there are so many good options that you can't go wrong with this place. Oh, and the coffee was perfect. The ambiance was perfect for how busy it was. Music was faint but noticeable with family friendly tunes to please everyone generation. You could actually hold a conversation without the need to raise your voice over the crown, kitchen, or music. My food was cooked to perfection and i had such a great experience that i felt compelled to leave a review before i hit the road. If you're ever travelling through this part of Texas or if you're a local looking for a change to the mundane, then look no further. Eggsquisite is at the top of my list of breakfast favorites. My friends and I did a hike at Eisenhower State Park and decided to come here post hike since it was on our way home to McKinney. I put my name on the Yelp waitlist and I checked-in with the hostess when we arrived. It seemed like were were waiting a long time, I finally tried to check for my name and somehow it was deleted from the waitlist?! We were seated for a good while before someone acknowledged us. We were thirsty from our hike and needed water and coffee ASAP. I ordered an egg white scramble with smoked salmon and it was way too salty. Both of my friends ordered eggs scrambled with sausage and the cinnamon roll pancakes. One of the scrambled eggs looked like it was someone's leftovers, such a small portion. My other friend had sausage patties that looked like they were way overcooked and not cooked fresh. Cinnamon roll pancakes were nothing spectacular but they did look appealing. Ummmmm....first and absolutely worst is that this place felt very intentionally segregated. The front area was all white and I made a joke about it to my wife. Not five minutes later we watched them walk a black family past an empty booth to the back and then sit two white people in the empty booth. Coincidence? Maybe, but I'm not the first to notice. The quality of food comes nowhere close to matching the menu prices. It's not good. The gravy that people seem to like is a powder mix. That's ok, if you have reasonable prices to match.
