BUYER BEWARE!!!! This place is the classic USED CAR LOT on a corner! They are unprofessional and even have the term certified in their name but the big question is certified by who? A certified mechanic? NO I purchased a 2021 Maserati a month back and the vehicle had a huge bubble in the front right tire. They promised to reimburse me the cost to replace the tire and forwarded the receipts but they say weekly that it takes time....... They also charged an additional $500 to license the vehicle and promised to refund the overage, this has not been done. It only cost $28.00 for the license. They also charged me an additional $500 for a second key fob. What luxury vehicle only comes with a single key fob? These folks are as slimy as they come! They are the lowest of low. They have zero morals, ethics and lie, lie, lie. The fat finance guy promised to buy dinner when I was there only to come up with a cold cheese pizza and bottle of water, this idiot didn't even spring for a topping on the pizza. What a joke. Lastly, when I take the vehicle in for an emissions test the plug does not work. I have to take it to the Maserati dealership and they charge me for 2 hours of labor to find out that the wantagh dealership put a tracker on the vehicle. They were paid in full for the vehicle so they should have removed such a device but it simply shows what type of dealership they are. You know, buy here, pay here so that I can overcharge for a vehicle and then track it if you miss a payment. They take advantage of people. Please do not patronize this establishment. They are the lowest of the low and should be shut down read more

We used to have no issues coming here, until recently. The new owner sold us a car with a SALVAGED title and a car that had a rotting frame. The owner registered the car for us and everything. He never told us until I found out a YEAR later when another mechanic told me that my car was a death trap. We called him out on it and he lied to our face saying he told us. If that was the case, we would've bever bought the car. The owner also owes my mother $2k over work that was never done. The owner is a scam and liar. He refuses to pay us back because he's a cheapskate. Highly recommend to go somewhere else... read more

I used to like these guys. After an oil change I discovered spots on my driveway. I went back they said I need an oil pan because the drain plug was stripped. $700+ dollars. Who stripped it? They did! When they did the oil change last time! I argued a bit and they hemmed and hawed, claiming it could have happened from expansion and contraction with changing temperatures. Baloney! I had a car for sale and the woman decided to use Wantagh Auto Service to get it checked out. They gave an inaccurate inspection of the vehicle saying that it needed much more money in repair than in actuality. I can only assume they thought they were going to get to work done in their shop. But what they didn't realize was that this woman was from Pennsylvania. So they gave an assessment of over $3,000 in repairs needing to be done on the vehicle, when in reality it only had about a third of that which needed to be put into it. I found this out from a much more honest mechanics inspection after the debacle at Wantagh Auto Service Station! I would highly recommend to stay after as far away from this place as possible! read more

They offer professional and honest service. I went to them initially to put air in my tire that was flat. They did this for free- wouldn't even take a tip. They warned me that my tire was bald and needed to be replaced. The next day, my tire was flat again! They gave me a fantastic quote on a set of tires- their price was unbeatable! I've used this shop for other repairs in the past and they really are the best in town! read more

I dropped my car off for an inspection and oil change at 6 am, left the key in the key drop and my car was ready at 5:30 pm when I came home from work. Really nice guys and the prices weren't bad at all. Convenient location at the Wantagh train station. Highly recommend them! read more

Ripoff! I bring my car in for inspection, they tell me I need brakes, I bring my car to my dealership, they say you don't need brakes so tell me? Why would one tell me I need brakes and the other tell me I don't? Because they thought if I tell this woman she needs brakes she is going to do the service because she doesn't know any better, well I guess they don't realize what century this is. I don't care how convenient it is to the LIRR station, I rather walk or take a 1/2 off I wont being going back. This is by far one of the best and honest car repair service shops I have ever encountered. The owner is an exceptionally kind human being with integrity an extensive knowledge on all things auto, who helped me out tremendously when the brakes on my car stopped working. I have dealt with many car sales and repair businesses in my life and usually walk away with an uneasy feeling of being somewhat ripped off - but this was truly the first time I have ever felt the complete opposite. This is an incredibly knowledgeable and genuine auto shop with excellent people who actually care about their customers. I would most definitely recommend Wantagh Auto Service all of my family and friends and even take the time to write a yelp review for..which I have never done, but felt it would be a complete injustice not to for this shop. read more
