However, knowing there are folks out there who aren't very comfortable/familiar with investing/planning for retirement I wanted to provide my honest opinion about Heritage Financial Strategies. I was looking for a new financial advisor after the previous one, that I actually had a good 3-year run with, decided to put more effort into researching tools of the trade than helping his clients and their retirement goals. My mother and I met with Shanna and decided to give her a try (she was to manage my mom's retirement accounts). In the first few months she seemed to be doing ok, even though the lines of communication weren't the greatest with her. BUT, to be fair, her assistant, Emily, was always fantastic to deal with. Then she went dark, and after some not so nice emails from my mom, she told us if we want to schedule reviews with her that we need to go online and schedule through a link she provided. Now, that information would have been wonderful to know at the start rather than being treated like we were junk on the side of the road. Also, I had to do some pushing to get recommendations on whether or not some stock should be sold and what she had in mind for purchase. Not exactly the way this "financial advisor" thing is supposed to work. I just want folks who are not familiar with investing/markets/planning for retirement to perhaps think about going somewhere else lest you deal with 0% return over the course of a year.

If you want just a slightly above average, average or below average auto insurance agent, Brian is not the agent for you because Brian is exceptionally amazing at everything I ask him to do for me. I have and will continue to recommend Brian to everyone I know. I truly believe if it was not for how honest, passionate and integrity driven Brian is I would not of switched to American Family. Here is an example of why I trust Brian: When I submitted a request for him to also cover our Business Liability insurance and I did not tell him how much we currently pay. Instead of trying to cut corner to just get me the cheapest policy which would not have the amount of coverage we currently have, he was completely honest and actually told me I would be better off staying with my current Business Insurance carrier. I normally would never say to trust anyone who sales insurance because the agent is normally only about making themselves money but Brian is someone you can trust to be honest and to provide all options even if it means he will not benefit.
