I've been a customer for over six years. I recently dropped by to ask about replacing the scratched lenses for my +1 readers. "Why don't you just buy a new pair, it's only $30 more?," she said, from her stool. First of all, I love my frames and why would I throw them away? What a waste and not very socially conscious. And the selection and affordability of Warby Parker is known and did not disappoint! She found two frames she loved, after much deliberation, and looked great on her for $95 each. And the service was outstanding! They treated her with great patience and caring.. From the moment we walked in, first helping her navigate the insurance options, then bringing her an assortment of frames to look at as her mobility is limited. And with the help of the licensed optometrist whose name I can't recall because she didn't have a card, assured they were the perfect fit for her, taking all the measurements and assessments beyond what I've ever seen at my Eye Doctor's office. This struck me as I've been going to the same Eye Doctor for years and while the folks that help you with your frames are pleasant they're not really that engaged with helping me decide which glasses to get which is assistance I would like. If I lived closer to Brooklyn, I would go to this Warby Parker. And after this experience, I am going to check out Warby Parker with my next prescription and recommend everyone try their neighborhood Warby Parker also so when you need lifetime adjustments, you can pop in and get one. He wanted to wear sunglasses while rapping on our hit song, "Skinny Surprise." Sweet P is loyal to Warby Parker because they provide glasses for someone in need for every pair they sell. He's basically a glasses philanthropist. Meanwhile, Sweet T had a blast trying on every frame in the store like it was a fashion show for her face. 10/10 would play glasses dress-up again. read more

I went in a Thursday afternoon so there was no wait. I hot service right away but live their new arrivals. I really only nose pads replaced. I have my old glasses from a few years ago. The cleaned my glasses n replaced the nose pads for free. My daughter needed her glasses adjusted to her face. The specialist was a perfectionist. Got it to fit her face perfectly after a few tried. While I was there i started to try on the frames. I tried on these beautiful Turquoise Blue, but they didn't have many. They had 1 , i think it was the Raul tortoise in beautiful Blueish turq, the color was really pretty, but it lookes dark on the web photo. too square on me. The website doesn't do justice, this is a nice turquoise /tortoise shell it ( pls see my screenshot) It looked a little nerdy on me, I prefer cat eye shape. I did find a frame I loved the Marin frames on me. $ 145 for the frames including script + $100 if you want them tinted. Not bad for stylish frames. I'll think about it. Since My vision insurance only covers either contact lenses or eye glasses. My daughter needs xtra wide and they only have a handful like under 10 styles to choose from. Warby, if you are listening, we need more turq! More xtra wide choices! The COVID restrictions are lifted, so clean the frames yrself b4 trying them on, one cannot be too careful these days. The salesclerk was nice and courtesy. He asked what kind of style I am interested in. I asked for tortoise shell and wide frame. He picked 5 glasses. I narrowed my choice to two. When I put it on my face, I had a Clark Kent's moment. It was a winner for me then. I recommend coming to this shop because there is less of crowd compare to the ones in Manhattan. This Warby Parker location is the only one in Brooklyn but rather conveniently located. I was able to get a new pair of glasses in 2 visits over a 2-day span thanks to the awesome staff and innovative business model that streamlined production of affordable eyeglasses. First off, I was introduced randomly to Warby Parker and instantly became a fan because it is "a business that could solve problems instead of creating them." For me eyeglasses are definitely a necessary accessory and I love shopping for accessories but the process traditionally involved in purchasing them wasn't always fun and deemed a necessary evil. WP has completely changed the game. Upon entering the store, the glasses are right within arms reach and available to be tried on immediately. The customer service was impeccable. The staff was available without being excessively pushy and were extremely knowledgeable. I came in with the idea of getting an identical replacement for my last pair of eyeglasses but quickly fell in love with one of the staff's recommendations based on my requirements. This is a very nice store. It's well-laid out, with friendly and helpful staff, and a wide selection of non-Luxottica produced eyeware. I am normally against books solely as decoration, but I must admit I like the novels arranged by binding color above each section of sunglasses, if only because it's a surprisingly excellent selection of books. I also like that they have actual printed maps of places in the neighborhood to sit and read a book. I'm not sure what it has to do with sunglasses, but I'm always interested in places to sit and do nothing. If you're a normal human being, you should be able to find a wonderful pair of sunglasses that will protect your eyes from the harmful rays of the sun. As the owner of a abnormally large and oddly shaped head and face, I could not find anything that didn't make my wife shake her head immediately. So, to me glasses are like shoes, I want them to go with my outfit. Also like shoes, they can be expensive. Hence why I could only buy 1 pair a glasses and made sure it just went with whatever I was wearing. However, WB has changed my entire life!!! I went to the smith street location and it was pretty crowded and the employees seemed to be stretched thin. If you're the type that wants one on one right away this may not be a good fit for you. I didn't really need their help in terms of picking a style. I found two pair that I loved. I went up to the check out and asked the guy which one should I get and when he picked one I went with that. When he was checking me out he informed that b/c my prescription was standard my total was $95. Now this is when my jaw dropped. I have never gotten a pair of glass under $100... not even under $200. Well since my glasses was only $95, I decided to get both pair of specs! They were ready within 3 days. When I went back to pick them up I waited about 5-10 mins. Adjustments were made and I was well on my way. Now that every pair of specs I can get will be under $100, I will now have a new addiction on my plate. I normally go to the Greene Street location, but decided to check this place out since it's closer to home. Came on a Sunday afternoon with my brother and the place was moderately busy, but not crazy packed. Prior to my visit, I used their try at home service and already picked out a pair so I didn't need any help, but the staff were attentive and helpful when I did have questions. If it's your first time, you need an up-to-date prescription to purchase prescription glasses no matter where you get it from (i.e. your own eye specialist or via an eye exam at a Warby location that offers that service. This one doesn't!). Ask the staff to help you find the perfect pair, or browse the shelves yourself. Glasses are organized by type and width (narrow, medium, wide, and a few in-between sizes). I recommend using your measurements as a guide to start. For instance, if your current pair is 54-20-140 (eye size/lense size, bridge width, temple length), consider going for a pair with similar measurements. Obviously, up to you though. As far as cost, the price is right! It's about $175 for prescription sunglasses, and $95 for prescription eyeglasses, not including extra costs for special lenses/higher prescriptions. Once you select a pair, a staff member will help you with checkout and you'll have the option to pick your item up or ship it home. I recommend creating an account on Warby for quicker checkout in the future. I left with the Sullivan that cost me about $250 (extra cost for ultra thin high index lenses because I'm blind as a bat) and my party got two pairs for $250. Granted, that's still a lot of money but I still save hundreds each year compared to where I used to go. Other good things to know: -My old pair (I had the crane in grey) lasted two years before the frames started wearing out. -Each pair comes with a lense case, wipe, and a 1 year warranty (if your lenses get scratched up, they'll repair it) -Staff can schedule a walk-in appointment if you need to see an optician to get your glasses adjusted/fitted. -You have 30 days after receiving your item to return it for a full refund read more

I have been trying for two weeks to return a pair of glasses so that the lenses can be replaced. The anti-glare film on the lenses is peeling off after only 9 months. I keep getting nice emails from Warby Parker saying they will replace the lenses for free. However, all they need to do is email me a mailing label and they just never follow through. I have asked via email three times and all I get is "we'll replace them, just send us your address". Their online customer service seems to have fallen apart. read more

I see fine with these glasses which are for distance. I had cataract surgery five years ago and my prescription hasn't changed. They said I had to get a current prescription from a doctor. I keep having to come back to get my glasses readjusted because the opticians who readjust my glasses make it fit so after more than a few minutes of wear, the glasses pinch behind my ears and give me a headache. I've been to other locations in other states before and have not had this issue, so I'm not sure if it's because they keep rushing the adjustments because this location is always crowded or what. But they do always seem to not really take their time and try to get you in and out as fast as possible. As an example, when I went in to an Atlanta location for my first adjustment, the optician studied my face, even noticing that one ear is lower than the other, and adjusted the frames to make them lay straighter across! Besides this issue with adjustments, the location has always been clean and service good. And I love my frames and get a lot of compliments on them. But at the end of the day, I just feel like I can't rely on this Warby Parker location for any type of post-purchase service. read more

I am a huge fan of Warby Parker and I've always just done the online at home try on especially since I lived in TX and the nearest store front was a good 40 miles away. Moving to NY meant I had way more options and M and I always seem to end up here. It's a small, minimalistic store front with very helpful, but not intrusive, people! They're always quick to answer any questions, no matter how silly or small seeming. I also like that they're dog friendly! I placed an order for single vision prescription glasses on Oct 17th. Having read through the process earlier, I knew that the next step would be to measure my PD though I didn't know how to measure it and when or where to to send it. Once the order was placed, all I see on my WP app account is an an update that reads "We're verifying your info to make sure everything is A-OK before we get started." At first I thought that may be they are validating my prescription. However the update didn't change for three days so finally I reached out to the customer support on Oct 20th to find out what's going on. In response to my inquiry, the customer support representative simply sent me a link on how/where to get my PD measured. No apologies, no concerns whatsoever over the delay or the fact that I wasn't notified of the next steps. This is really strange and honestly quite disappointing. I was expecting a notification or indication of some kind to tell me how to measure my PD and where to submit it. I placed the order on 10/17/17 so that I could get it in time to wear them at my big event on 10/24/17. This time is equivalent to what any other vendor would normally ask for to deliver one pair of single vision prescription glasses. Now here I am at the end of the week with very less to no likelihood of getting the glasses delivered to me in time. My question to WP is: Do you always wait for your customers to reach out to you asking for next steps? If that's the way at Warby Parker, I'm afraid it wouldn't go too far! Having gone through this mess, I have a few suggestions for WP. 1. If your app isn't functional or doesn't reflect the desired workflow process, improve it. 2. If there are bugs in your system that are causing this error, fix them and proactively reach out to your potential customers to ensure that no one is kept on waiting longer than they should. 3. If things still slip through the cracks, send a genuine apology and work towards speeding up the remainder of the process. Highly disappointing! read more

What an unfortunate experience I just had. I came into this store to pick up my new eyeglasses. Of course they altered them to best fit my face. In the alteration process, the sales associate that helped me ended up doing something to my frames that made them completely uncomfortable. I kept trying to communicate what needed to be altered and he got very brief and gave my glasses to another sales associate, as if I were being a nuisance. She took one look at the frames, made a face, and told me that she needed to get new frames to put my prescription in. That basically let me know that my discomfort with the glasses wasn't on me but was because of whatever the previous sales associate had done to my frames. When I got the new frames, they felt great! However, the sales associate wanted to alter them. Whatever she did made them also feel uncomfortable. When I tried to communicate the problem areas to her, she also got a little brief in her communication and ultimately got defensive. Instead of helping me fix the problem, she made it worse, and was unhelpful in remedying the issue. Now I have a brand new pair of glasses that feel quite uncomfortable. That's such a shame because I really do love Warby Parker. read more

Walking into the store, no one acknowledges or greets you.... makes one feel very welcome (while three associates standing on the floor with their noses in the laptops) Only one customer was being helped at that time. I have spent about 10 minutes inside trying on glasses. Again, not a single person came over to inquire. In fact, a female associate was trying hard to avoid eye contact. I should've never come here. There's one single optometrist, the rest of the staff are just general retail salespeople who really don't know much about glasses. They don't fit your glasses to your face. They don't make sure your eyes are actually aligned with the center of the lens. They just order and ship. My glasses took about a month to arrive. Within a week of wearing them, I hated them. I still do hate them. They're cheaply made, heavy and awkward. They don't even fit my face right, and the bridge of the frames prevents them from sitting properly on my face.The "ultra high index" lenses are bullshit. They're about four times as thick as my previous prescription for a minuscule difference in prescription strength. They're also extremely heavy. And, since it took literally four weeks to arrive, I couldn't even return them. Even if I could, my eyes already adjusted. I can't wear old glasses at work, I could literally kill someone making a stupid mistake caused by poor eyesight. Lesson learned. Next time I'm going back to Chinatown optical and getting another pair of titanium suki frames. Never again. read more

Contacted them again to ask for a timeline and they said they don't have one but will expedite the shipping for free.
