WARBY PARKER STOLE MY MONEY!! READ BELOW. BE WARNED. I just received an email from Chris at their main offices. I had actually spoken to him two weeks ago on the phone about a refund for the glasses that ended up not working and needing to just be refunded overall. Two weeks ago, Chris confirmed I'd get a refund. Two weeks ago, I was CONFIRMED by Chris to be getting a check in the mail because the bank / card I used 7 months ago to buy the glasses originally is no longer active. It's 7:30pm on a Thursday and Chris emails me TWO WERKS LATER and says "oops sorry we can't send you a check", and tells me to call the bank I no longer have an account with and a bank that doesn't have any ties with me and ask them for my refund. Does this make sense to you? This doesn't make sense to me. This is FRAUDULENT. WHY IS IT SO HARD TO GET A REFUND FROM WARBY PARKER? WHY ARE YOU NOT JUST REFUNDING ME? I'm sorry but this is aggravating and I now have to seek advice from the BBB and the Attorney General's office because they are just not letting go of my money after I've had continued issues with my glasses, even going so far to lie to me by saying the check has been written and will be sent out to me to refund me back. How low is that? ORIGINAL REVIEW : I'm so disappointed. I've been wearing glasses for well over 15 years and I know they can get costly. When I found Warby Parker online I thought "oh my goodness! Finally!". And to see they opened a physical store made me even more excited. So I went into this location in North Hills at least 3 months ago. On the spot I bought a pair of frames with new lenses. Awesome price. Of course, they don't have the physical capabilities of making the glasses at the location (it has to be sourced back to NYC) so I had to wait a bit. They were shipped directly to my home too. Double yes! :) When the glasses arrived, I put them on and was a bit shocked to realize that... they made me really dizzy. I've had glasses (as I've said) for 15 years. Since I was a little girl. So I understand that "hey, adjustment period!!". Totally 100% get that. So I went a few days wearing them. Waiting for the adjustment period to subside. Never happened. Instead, I began feeling lightheaded and dizzy beyond belief. Nauseous to the point I'd gag. I quickly realized it was the glasses and flipped into my old pair. Within seconds of flipping into my old set : I'm fine. I feel perfect. I kept trying this experiment out to see if it was the Warby Parker glasses and yeah, the same results every time. So I brought the glasses in! I live an hour away (on a good day) from theJ physical store. So I brought them in. I was within the month I bought them too. An associate by the name of Rick came up and assisted me. He asked for my Warby Parker frames, my old frames and looked up some info. After we waited nearly 30 minutes... he came back and told me nothing was wrong with the prescription. Now, I told him that if that's the case then it's more underlying. We should switch out the pair for another one. Or do something else because telling me "it's you, not us", doesn't solve the problem. Rick was assertive and super rude. He told me to just go home and give it another try and if it persisted to come back. I tried to go against what he was saying in a respectful way, explaining the distance of travel and work time and he simply goes, "Are you licensed in optometry? Listen to what I'm telling you." We ended up leaving with the same pair and zero help. Oh... and he kept my glasses box. So that stinks. Now I went a few more weeks and the same issues persisted. Thanks Rick for your awesome advice!! (sarcastic) .... So I decided to call the store to speak with a manager. I'm directed to a main line for Warby Parker. You can't speak physically with the store itself. Only the phone techs can. Great. The nice lady on the other end was really understanding of my issue. She explained that I was actually OUT OF THE WARRANTY TIME by three days (thanks again Rick!!!!!) and she told me to email their main email to get more help. So long story short... I'm frustrated. Had a great experience as a first-time Warby Parker buyer. It'd had been a few years since I'd purchased a pair of glasses, as I primarily wear contact lenses. l occasionally wore my old pair of glasses from a while back, but one of the temples had broken off. So it was well past time for me to get a new pair. Enter Warby Parker. I'd seen some of their slick, fancy ads and was intrigued by the whole concept of changing the way we buy glasses. But admittedly, I was skeptical. I've known very little else about glasses shopping other than LensCrafters and mass-market places found in malls and strip malls. But Warby Parker was a welcome change of pace. I was greeted promptly upon entry, and one of the staff explained the set-up to me (i.e., glasses arranged by shape). I liked being given the freedom to browse at my own pace and without anyone hovering or giving me a tough sell. I found a few pairs that I thought looked promising, and I was able to narrow it down with the help of one of the opticians. My final selection was a very hip pair of frames that I would never have picked out for myself (and probably never would have seen on the shelf at a traditional eyeglasses shop) and in a low-bridge frame (as it's great that eyeglass makers are finally realizing that different ethnicities have different nose shapes that need to be accommodated in design and manufacturing). The price was right, even though I had to pay out of pocket without insurance (since I use my benefits for contacts) and even though I got certain upgrades (such as progressive lenses that change to sunglasses outside). Once you place your order, you're told that the lenses will ship to you in a certain number of business days. And, yes, my lenses arrived right on time -- despite the notorious mail delays of DeJoy and crew these days. I did have to bring the lenses into the store for a quick adjustment. But that was easy, friendly, and painless as well. All in all, I'm extremely pleased with my first experience at Warby Parker. I recommend it to anyone who wants a hassle-free, transparent buying experience and seeks non-traditional, stylish frames that are on trend and reasonably priced! read more

They've given me a bunch of excuses & promised to follow up but didn't. Today they finally told me that my frames were back ordered & that they'd be here in 5 days. My experience shopping here was really pleasant. My appointment made online ahead of time. I downloaded the app 2 days before arriving to narrow down my choices a frames.. Using the app is pretty nice with trying on frames. During Covid 19 the staff are practicing social distancing and using safety precautions . Hand sanitizer is readily available and of course mask wearing. I was able to pick out frames, try them on and make my final purchase in less than 30 minutes.. I have finally ended up with not one but two pairs of glasses that I absolutely love!!! I recently went to Warby Parker and I had the most wonderful experience finding glasses. I had the amazing luck of being greeted immediately by Justin and he helped me with a good selection of frames to try. He was honest in his feedback, which I truly appreciated, and his expertise filtering through the vast selection of frames. To me picking out frames can be as overwhelming as picking out paint colors. Justin's assistance was amazing. He has impeccable taste in my opinion based on the frames he selected for me to try. I was purchasing my first set of progressive lenses and again Justin's advice turned out to be invaluable. I tried checking out another lens store right after leaving Warby Parker and walked in the door, walked around, noticed their frames was twice as expensive of Warby Parker's frames and left without anyone saying nary a word to me. I later went back to Warby Parker with my husband on a Saturday. We again were greeted immediately and received amazing service. I ended up purchasing not one but two pairs of frames that I love!! For reference, two frames with progressive lenses cost me less that one frame with single vision would cost. Everything from beginning to end was the best experience I've ever had purchasing glasses. My husband who has never worn glasses also appreciate all the attention to detail that I received buying my new glasses. I swear, to me this is huge because it has been YEARS since I have purchased glasses that I enjoy wearing if I want to give my eyes a break from contacts. I love that they have a wide selection of glasses to try on and that if you want help choosing they will help you or if you want to look around yourself you can do that too. YAY brick and mortar! I am thrilled that there's a Warby Parker store in Raleigh! I ordered a pair of glasses that came in super tight and instead of mailing them back i held onto them for a bit so i could just walk into the store and get them adjusted. First, I am from Raleigh, NC. not San Francisco, CA. As a follow up I called a third time and the glasses were still not done. Three and a half weeks and two missed promises. Their definition of expedite is now over 10 days for a total time of 30 days. I can't even get my money back because it was a gift card. No refunds policy on gift cards! Never again. read more

I went to 3 eye doctors in Wilmington NC and had terrible experiences. I've never had glasses before, and don't have vision insurance, so I was really disappointed when i found out I needed glasses but couldn't find anything within a good price that fit me. As a Hail Mary, I decided to visit this store in Raleigh. I had already looked online and saw several things I'd like to, and the price was very appealing. I have the best experience, the man that helped me said that he is been doing this for 30 years. He was so kind, and none of them were pushy like the other stores I went to, and at the end when I was checking out he made sure that I had picked frames that really fit my face well.
