Six years now, and each time I need glasses Warby Parker in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia, is my go-to place. I recently lost a silicone nose piece for a pair of my WP glasses, and visited earlier today. A feature I really appreciate is that whether the shop is busy or not, upon entering I'm greeted by a representative who asks for my email address. Once given, I'm immediately placed in line for whatever service I need. I get a text instantly, letting me know I'm in the queue and will be served in the order I arrived at. This is really, really, important when the shop is busy. Each visit, I've been treated with respect and courtesy; and have been able to resolve my concerns with a minimum of effort. Abood was helping me today, and I've come to trust the staff at the Old Town Alexandria shop for all of my vision needs (although I still rely on my long-time opthalmologist to do the medical and vision exams each year). I'm very favorably impressed with the service, the staff, and the quality of the experience. read more

I loved Warby Parker! I am a new customer and decided to finally pull the plug and give some glasses a try. My first visit in was on a Saturday, but there was a line out front and a wait of about 20-30 minutes. Goes to show how popular they are! It is a smaller location, but they are doing all things possibly to keep it safe during COVID (check their website), hence there were only a certain amount of people allowed in. I didn't stay for long because I had a feeling which frames I wanted from trying them on previously! So I placed my order, tried them on, and was sent on my way. They have wonderful prices even for those of us with a high prescription (all listed online). The staff is very efficient and helped me set up my order and prepare for an email requesting my prescription. Easy peasy. I got my glasses about 12 days later and I AM IN LOVE!! They are so cute! Having the app made it so easy to track and I was so excited when they came. I stopped back at the store after receiving them for an adjustment and the lady at the desk was sooo friendly! Actually everyone was and since I came on a Tuesday at noon I was the only customer! She helped me get them adjusted to my face and fitting how I wanted them too! Love this location. I can't sing WP's praises enough. Diana was super kind and helpful. She listened to my concern regarding my current pair. She was absolutely patient while I tried on several glasses near the from off the store. Then, I inquired about tortoise shell cat eye glasses. Diana brought be a pair (see pic) and I feel in love instantly. Quirky and cute! Soon after receiving the new glasses in the mail, I needed an adjustment. The technician was super friendly and quickly adjusted my new pair quickly. Great fit. Progressive line is exactly where I need it. I saw Diana and thanked her for picking a pair that I love. It was so nice, I had to do it twice!!! Finally made my way back to this location with my updated script in hand and ready to pick out the frame to hold my new and improved eyesight, lol. As soon as I walked in, I made my way to the back of the store where I recall the frames I saw the last time and was immediately greeted by Sharon and let's just say she was ready to assist me. I showed her what I was thinking of and gave me a few other options to try and I was able to decide on one. Ready to complete my purchase, Julie walked me through the process of ordering my glasses and went over everything she entered for my order to make sure all was correct and I was well on my way. I've been buying glasses from Warby Parker for almost 10 years. What makes this store unique is the people. I had an issue with my glasses and knew it was past the deadline to return them. I entered the Alexandria store looking distressed and Diana could spot that right away. I explained my issue and Diana quickly find a solution. She's was thorough and understanding. She was more like a friend as we discussed several topics as she repaired my glasses. Service is key here and they (Warby Parker) have a customer for life. read more

Longtime Warby Parker customer but my first time in this location. Super helpful staff that I managed to order my glasses in record time. Less than 10 minutes. It helps that I knew which style I wanted. Conversely, there was a guy in the store that couldn't make up his mind and can overhear his conversation with the staff. They seemed very helpful and talked him through with the different styles. Part of why I've always bought from Warby Parker and not somewhere cheaper is the exceptional service you typically receive at any store- they're typically warm, attentive, and ready to help you out. I was disappointed at my last visit to this location when that level of service just wasn't there. The store only had one other customer and the employees still were not very helpful or warm, and when I was ready to make a selection they just ignored me. Super different from how this store has been in the past, so perhaps just an off day, but ended up walking out without anything and ordered glasses from elsewhere online. read more

I had an excellent experience this morning at this location first & foremost because the sales associate, Kaitlyn, LISTENED. She was friendly, professional, thorough, accommodating & honest when I was finalizing my choices. This location is very convenient & can of course have a lot of foot traffic, so I suggest setting aside ample time because the selection of frames is incredible! *You can find free parking a block or two away on some of the side streets on N. Better than i'd hoped. The King Street store was busy, but not jammed. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. I had looked at frames on-line so I had a pretty good idea what I was looking for. The sales person answered all my Qs, called over the optometrist for the proper adjustments to my multi-focus lenses and I was gone within 15 minutes. I paid the $20 for expedited service, and my glasses arrived three days earlier than I'd paid for. I need new lenses for my sunglasses, but you have to buy the frames along with the lenses. I had a great experience at the Old Town Alexandria Warby Parker. I am familiar with Warby Parker and how they work, I have been to the Shaw location many times before. This location is quite small. For someone who is knew or hasn't been there before, it may be a little tight and overwhelming but the awesome service makes up for it. I stopped in on a Sunday knowing exactly what I wanted and was in and out in less than 15 minutes! I ordered brand new glasses for ONLY $95 and they were delivered to my front door within three days. I think the standard delivery time is 5-7 business days. read more

The location was prime and the employees were very nice and helpful. I arrived around noon on a Saturday, surprised to find I was one of two customers in the place with 4-5 employees who were looking for things to do... but hey, I can't complain about all the attention I received :) My only gripe is how Warby Parker is disconnected with its retail stores. For the Christmas season, they advertise that if you ordered by December 16, 2018, you're guaranteed to have your order by December 24. I went into the store on December 15, and was told that "the system" was saying that my order would be ready "by December 25." The employee warned me that this might mean a December 26 delivery since the 25th was a holiday. I pushed back saying that's wholly inconsistent with what I was told by their online reps, but her hands were tied. So I placed the order, went home, and started a chat session with the WP customer service. They told me my order was scheduled to arrive on Friday (4 days before Christmas). In light of that, I had to change the shipping address, which meant cancelling and re-placing the order. Unsure why I had to jump through the hoops as a customer when for some reason their retail stores have different information than their online customer service reps. Just a tip for others. It's nice to shop in person and try on more than 5 frames at a time (there's no way I'd have thought the one I purchased would look good on me from looking online). But this is one of those businesses where the "corporate vs. retail" are pitted against each other so you may get better information by checking both options. read more

This review is specifically and only for the amazing Sharon at Warby Parker in Alexandria. I came into the store with less than 4 mins until closing and she didn't hesitate to help me. Yesterday I played in a football game and I wore my brand new eyeglasses that I JUST received a few days prior!!!!!! And I got hit in the face by a football and by a man!! A man y'all!! And then today I went to kickball practice n was hit in the face by a ball! I thought they were gonna have to ship out my glasses to do surgery on them but nah. Warby Parker is out for Warby Parker. They will not fix nor exchange lenses unless it's Warby Parker classes. Some folks too old for that nonsense. I had multiple pairs of glasses that required lens upgrade & I wanted to purchase new pair of glasses. No can do on those glasses purchased elsewhere. A millennial self- centered mindset. Took my business to Lenscrafters. As long as glasses in good condition & they determined they could change out lenses all is good. Not judgemental like Warby Parker. P.S. I went to the Warby Parker store in Old Town today with my dog Kerry to get my sunglasses adjusted. As we were waiting for Sharon to fix my glasses, she made sure Kerry got a treat. Sharon has the best personality - she is beyond super nice. You can tell she likes her job and more importantly she likes helping people. She greeted every person who walked into the store with a hearty hello. Customer service seems to be optional when you shop in some stores lately, but not in the Warby Parker in Old Town and its people like Sharon who make you feel welcome. We are out of state visitors. Two pair of my husband's glasses broke. We went in Warby Parker to request assistance. We were hoping to get an appointment or be able to leave the glasses for a day or two to be repaired. When we entered the store we were helped right away by a female optician/technician. Sorry I did not get her name. It took only a few minutes for her to repair both pair of glasses. Thanks to her for helping us continue on our trip with no delay. Additionally, I purchased two collapsable hard case eye class holders. I love them. I have never seen them elsewhere. They are working out great, especially when I have to carry a small purse. read more

My experience was great! I was greeted as soon as I walked in the store, one of the crew members immediately came to assist me with selecting glasses to try on. He was very patient with assisting me while I was trying on several glasses, and even helped pick out ones he thought I'd like. Once we narrowed it down to two pair, I continued to look at other glasses while he was setting up my account. During that time, I found two additional pair I liked and couldn't decide between the two. Came into this location.. drove about 45 min from Maryland. Not a single of the 6+ employees standing around said hi or asked if we needed help. One of the men just stood there and stared at us as we walked around... I don't know if we were being treated this way because we brought our kids in with us or what.. but it's unacceptable. Asked if we could use the bathroom, a couple of the girls were nice about it and asked another worker if we could.. she literally stood there and stared my 6 year old down and was looking back and forth to the two of us with a dirty look on her face.. I then said we were there to shop and not just use the bathroom. The other girls apologized and tried to explain that their bathroom backs up etc.. they could have just said that in the first place. By the other woman still just said nothing.. I don't really understand why retail workers act this way.. whatever happened to customer service and trying to make sure people come into your store have a positive experience? I certainly won't be coming back to this location. Shame because I thought warby Parker was supposed to be a modern and inclusive brand. read more

I returned a pair of glasses that I ordered - and waited 10 days for - because the prescription was wrong. I couldn't see out of the left lens at all (I've verified that the prescription provided to them was correct). When I brought them to the store, the associate working my return was completely unsympathetic about the fact that Warby Parker had wasted my time with these botched lenses and made no effort to try to help me find an alternative frame option since I wasn't too happy with the frame I received either. Upon learning about thinner lens options (which had not been shared with me when I first ordered), I would have definitely been open to trying a new frame with the thinner lenses in the correct prescription. But the extent of the customer service I received was completing my return and waving me goodbye out the door, so I didn't bother. (On a different note, the customer service team that runs the phone line for Warby Parker is great; they helped answer questions I had during the process.) read more

I went to Warby Parker on Saturday afternoon. Despite the store being busy at that time, Connor came over to me right away and offered to help. They have a vast selection of glasses and I wasn't sure which options were best for me, especially since I have a very strong prescription. Connor was personable, patient and very knowledgeable. He helped me to narrow down my choices and I absolutely love my new pair of glasses. The on-site optometrist was also incredibly nice and helpful. Additionally, Warby Parker is very affordable. I was shocked at how low the cost of my glasses were, especially considering the strength of my prescription. This location is also conveniently located in Old Town and a quick walk from the metro.
