The worst was my right eye which was 35 eye pressure and optic nerve damage. The left also had glaucoma. She referred me to Dr. Gago, specialist, and with two kinds of drops and laser treatments brought by eye pressure down to 20 and below. However, the damage was done. My eyes have been stable but I am afraid to have the necessary surgery which I can no longer put off. Hopefully she has learned from her mistakes as a Doctor but I would think twice about getting her as your doctor.

I was seen quickly and was greeted by a professional, friendly, and calming staff. I hate eye anything as I'm super sensitive, but I will gladly return here. The retina specialist gave me a thorough exam, laid out all my options, and the risks vs. benefits of each. They managed to inform without scaring the crap out of me and allowed me to make my own informed decision. Once I ripped the bandaid off and pulled up my big girl panties, they completed an inpatient procedure within minutes. No fuss, no wait, no chance to wuss out. Trust me, that is a good thing. They literally saved my sight, allowing me to continue to work and be a productive person. No joke. I'm not done on my journey, but they are walking me through it, and I have faith in them. I trust their advice and care and hope to be working with them for a long time.

I'm of an age where I worried about needing cataract surgery at some point, and I was pleased that not only could he explain the options and issues with this, he pulled out a chart that showed me what my lens looks like in comparison with the darkening age can bring. I saw him during the COVID times and I was impressed with what he did to ensure sanitation. He does seem to have an affinity for University of Indiana sports, but no one is perfect.

But as this concerns a matter of personal health and wellness, I'm posting this two star review for this business. I went to this establishment recently (in September 2025) for a routine eye exam and I sure wish I had read the lowest reviews first. One positive: I was seen on time by a Dr. Ayysha but before that, the office manager, did some "intake tests", such as checking pressure in the eyes and also doing, rather ineptly (one eye had to be redone) the retinal imaging. What qualifications she had (besides referring to a chart on the wall of what is the correct position of the eye), I have no idea. Dr. Ayysha performed a very perfunctory exam and appeared in sloppy non-professional (IMO) garb, as if she had just come back from a workout. She was personable, there's another positive. I asked for the retina scan photos to be sent to me in files (which a previous provider had done) and was told by the office manager that she didn't know how to do that and people usually take a photo with their phones. I asked Dr. Ayysha if she could get the scans sent to me and she said that the OM would "try to find out" how to do that. I'll check back in a week if I don't receive anything but I'm not optimistic. Finally, I tried on various frames and before leaving remarked that many of the frames are dirty (meaning, smudged, dusty, etc.). They obviously hadn't been cleaned in quite a while. The not-the-office manager guy just said 'thank you". OK, well then. I won't know if anyone cleaned the frames because I won't be returning to this business for new glasses.

I will now have another exam and have to pay out of pocket for it. I am so extremely disappointed to have wasted a visit with her. There is high degree of unprofessional attitude and lack of respect for clients. I don't recommend anyone to schedule eye exams with Vision works, as there is total lack of respect, understanding and empathy for clients in both certain staff and doctors here. I won't be back for either glasses or exams at this place
