We are fairly upset. My fiance and I had our heater and AC unit replaced as well as the air ducts…read morewidened back in November. The heater in our home went out as soon as the serious cold hit. The gentlemen at this business came right over and worked together over the course of a day to install everything. I was forever grateful. At the time of installation the ground was frozen. The workers said they would be back in Spring, sometime in April, to vacuum out the system and turn on the access from the unit to the house. It is now mid-June. Since April I have been doing everything in my power to have a technician come out to complete the work, but no one has come. Apparently no one put us on a call schedule or wrote down any notes, so the first guy who came out didn't even know what needed to be done. We couldn't remember. We assumed wrongly the AC unit simply needed charged. SO the technician who came by said he had the wrong tools, and promised to come by first thing in the morning. Guess who didn't come by. He then called my fiance to ask what time I will be home until (because my phone was busted, and I appreciate that he remembered this) and I told him anytime before 2 p.m. He never came by. They never tried to call back to reschedule, and I know they are having some serious staffing problems, so I waited as long as I could. But now it is getting hot, the cross winds are gone, and I can't function. The heat makes it hard to breathe because of my asthma, and I'm hot super easily because I have PCOS. When it's hard to breathe I'm lethargic but can't sleep well, which is negatively affecting my PTSD. The Windows have been open too long, and now ants are coming in. My dog keeps trying to poke her head out the window, so I have to leave the bottom window closed and the top window open, which lets bees in. We literally upgraded to a newer unit for my health. I don't need pity. I shouldn't have to explain my situation, and I'm not some broken schmuck to be considered. I paid for a service that is a necessity for me versus a luxury, and I expect to receive that service in a timely manner. I need some air! I'm miserable! I called again today, explained my situation, and insisted someone come out today. I've fallen through the cracks long enough. No such luck! The scheduler insisted no tech is available till Thursday morning. That must be nice. I'm sure when my fiance was in the Navy there were quite a few times when he wanted to say, "I'm Sorry, I can't serve my country today. I can't provide you with safety and freedom, because I want to be home by 8 p.m." As a medical lab scientist working for a nonprofit low income hospital I've never said, "Oh, your infant is running a 102 degree fever and you need labs to pinpoint the cause so the doctor can provide the right course of treatment? Man that sucks. Well, it's the end of my shift, so I can't help you." The service this company provides is important. I need someone to recognize that and behave accordingly. For us, the AC is not a comfort measure. Based on the customer service I've already received I highly doubt anyone will show up to complete the job they started in November. IF they ever complete this job, I doubt I'll ever work with them again. They've seriously lost any trust I had for them. They would have to work really hard to rebuild it.

I'll say first off usually if you're calling an HVAC company it's a bad day to start. However I've never had a bad experience with a tech and the prices have been in line with the going rates. Recently I had the ducts cleaned in my new house (but it's old...) and was very impressed with how thorough they were, even on Christmas Eve. I recommend them

Always satisfied with service, until this past winter when they said I needed to get a new furnace right away. The technician said I was in danger of carbon monoxide because there was a split on something. He was on bended knee when he said something like "if you were my mom I would recommend a new furnace right away" he then called his sales rep to have him come over and go thru payment options. Before the salesman could get here, I called another company. Unfortunately the new technician couldn't get here until after I listened to Home Comforts sales speech. I did tell him that another company was coming for a second opinion. Once the new company came and checked everything out, he completely disagreed with the idea of a new furnace. He even brought a carbon monoxide tester and I was completely in the normal zone. Needless to say the Home Comfort company lied right to my face, again "on bended knee".
