Food: The variety was very slim, the serving dishes were all pretty picked over - and not being readily filled - when we got there so we had to start out with the left overs and make our way back over to the buffet again later to check if they'd filled the serving dishes. I didn't think anything I had (flounder, chicken, potatoes, vegetables, pie) was particularly good. I put all that in small scoops each on my plate because somehow I just knew. I thought I'd find something I'd really enjoy but no way, didn't happen. (The place was busy though so I'll give them that. I just wouldn't go back, but I am traveling through so I wouldn't have much of an opportunity to do so more than once a year really). 'Ambiance' .. none. Very wide open and very much like a church rec-room basement with tables and booths. Nothing special or enticing. Big containers of water and drinks on every table. I got two pieces of small cornbread haphazardly thrown in a bag when I had to ask for it. Everything that I ordered was clearly on my receipt and they did not even reference it to make sure it was accurate. I gave it 2 stars because the fish was seasoned well and the yam soufflé was pretty good. The cornbread would have been better if it wasn't cold.

Everything was great though I wish my side of hush puppies came with more than 3 hush puppies and not smothered in the hot sauce. The side of ranch was yummy as well with the wings. Service: the front counter lady was very calm, welcoming and sweet. I appreciated I could order my meal online and it gave me a pickup time (which they kept to) and I could pay in person when I picked up. Food takes about 30 minutes to come out. Ambiance: nothing fancy but plenty of seating and clean. I might sit and enjoy my food fresh next time. Unfortunately, my other experiences haven't matched that quality. The last time I visited, I settled for the brisket burrito. While sweet and savory can work together, this one was overwhelmingly sweet and just didn't hit the mark. I also asked for a Diet Coke and was told they only had Sprite, regular Coke, and water, which was surprising. My wife ordered the biscuits and gravy, which had almost no flavor.
