OK look... Grocery shopping isn't anybody's favorite thing to do and if it is then I don't know that we can be friends. My trip to Waremart had me with a budget of $200 and about 40 minutes to spend in the grocery store. With the help of some friendly staff, I was able to complete my task in 35 minutes and spent only $130. That amount included the candy and energy drinks I snuck in to the cart. Waremart is a smaller version of Winco. They do not have a deli, fresh meat or seafood counter. They do have great price , which is helpful with the nations crazy inflation. The walking in beer cooler is cool (LOL). I got my Christmas ham here last year and it was the best ham I've ever served. Best to go in early or late as the store is very crowded after 3pm and on the weekends. read more

About 1/3 the size of a WINCO (my favorite store) but has most of the basics and essentials. No bakery, fish counter or deli :-( I usually visit Waremart weekly for perishables ie produce-dairy-etc, WINCO monthly for a big haul of staples. Usually not crowded, convenient parking. Never find the eight-carts-at-each-checkstand I see at Costco, usually maybe a couple. Great prices! read more

Wow... I have lived about 50 yards from the front entrance of Safeway for 2 years. I have shopped there exclusively this entire time, because of how ridiculously convenient it is. I would say that the majority of the employees there recognize me and 90% of them are very friendly and welcoming. I have never considered shopping anywhere else until the last maybe 2 or 3 months, when Safeway yet again raised their prices to an all-time ridiculous high. Their prices have tripled just in the past year and it makes me sick every time I hit that payment button and see how insane my $ total is. At this point, you could realistically eat dinner at a restaurant every single day and pay less than you would to cook the exact same meal for yourself at home. That's how greedy and evil they have become. It is totally unnecessary. Yesterday, I needed to go to the UPS store to send an (belated) Xmas gift to my brother. As I was leaving, I was like, "Maybe I'll go check this Winco place out before I go home." Why the heck not, right? No joke, I might never shop at Safeway ever again now. I was shocked and awed by this place. Excellent selection, bulk foods (!!!!), prices at least half of what Safeway is charging, down every single aisle! I have seen other reviewers complain that they don't have a deli or fish, but I don't see that as a deal-breaker. I am actually kind of ashamed at myself for being so lazy that I was unwilling to drive the extra 3 blocks out of my way for 2 entire years. Imagine all the money I could have saved... Ever since coming to Keizer, this store has been very efficient, has lots of products, nice size bathroom, clean produce, and clean store. We really like it and self bagging works fine, too. read more

I love shopping at Waremart but the food is becoming more expensive and the organic produce is absolutely disgusting. The food isn't cared for and I rotten. I also wish they had more organic and vegan friendly choices. read more

I am indignant.... I just came from Waremart (4/3/2020) and see that they are still taking only minimal precautions to protect us all from this pandemic. I LOVE this store and am so happy they came to fill our need in Keizer BUT.... I FIND IT TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE TO FUNCTION THE WAY THEY ARE. They have installed sneeze guards at the check out stations but checkers wear no gloves (OK.... maybe this is OK).... they have no masks (sneeze guard may be ok for this) .....BUT..... they are doing NO SANITIZING BETWEEN CUSTOMERS! When I came up I asked the clerk if she was sanitizing between customers.... she said 'I can'.... and then pulled up a wet cloth that I assume has some type of bleach/disinfectant on it. She wiped the belt area but not the stand or credit card reader that the lady in front of me just used. REALLY..... DOES WAREMART NOT WATCH THE NEWS TO KNOW WE NEED BETTER CARE THAN THIS! On top of this, let me share with you that I had the same concern when I shopped there in 3/23/2020. When I sympathetically asked the clerk if the store was not providing gloves, etc. for her she said she didn't care if she got the virus... I suggested that I cared that she didn't give it to me!.. she said nothing. On that date I asked to see the manager who had just about the same attitude. I wrote to the company the next morning and got a reply from 'Heather' who said they cared deeply and were doing the best they can. Obviously, little has changed. OBVIOUSLY.... WAREMART'S BEST IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO KEEP OUR COMMUNITY SAFE! There were no big lines, no urgency to move quickly to the next customer. She did have the means to sanitize but was not doing it....... not OK! I'll be shopping at Fred Meyer and Safeway from now on where they are doing the safe things for us all......WAREMART.... PLEASE, STEP UP AND DO THE RIGHT THING.... PS... to the lady ahead of me in the tight pink pant who then said to the clerk..."Don't pay any attention to her, she is just a complainer'..... I suggest you also step up and do your part to project our community! For the record, I am not a complainer... but I am a person of action. When I encounter something so blatantly wrong I feel it is my obligation to speak up. I hope you will also speak to Waremart, asking them to do a better job protecting our community. read more

They have a great bulk product section. I love their vegan food area. The fresh fruits and vegetables section is always beautiful. Employees are always friendly and helpful. read more

Tonight is a perfect example of why I avoid Waremart and if I could leave a lower score I would . I went in to pick up a few items and some wine . I brought my sister who is 13 with me so she could pick out her candy .. the clerk said she needed both of our identifications ( I'm near 30) she proceeded to say she " wasn't about to lose her job" and didn't offer a solution but declined selling me wine . We ended up leaving all the items we planned to purchase and went to Safeway which is my usual place of choice , I just didn't want to make the extra drive which I should have ! At least they are friendly and make me feel comfortable. read more

Went grocery shopping today. Have to say this is a very nice store. I like the Winco prices but I love that its small and easy to get around. Good prices. The cashiers were very up beat and nice. Great addition to Keizer for those on a budget read more

Today is the 2nd day that this store has been open. It was VERY busy so it was hard to find a parking space. But I have to say Keizer needed this. In the last few years Keizer had 2 of the 4 grocery stores in town shut down. So they were stuck with Fred Meyer on the far south of town, or Safeway in the middle of town. Neither of them a cost effective choice for many of Keizers current residents. Now to the store itself, it's setup just like a Winco but in a smaller footprint. I found the aisles to be well laid out and everything was clean. They do have self checkout lines so if you have just a few items you don't have to wait in a line. My only concern is that the doors in both the entrance and exit are a tad small. I'm a big guy and if somebody else was going out or in with me the doors were just not quite wide enough to allow us to enter or exit at the same time. I'm assuming it's due to a structural requirement of the building, but they did a huge rebuild so not sure why they couldn't have widened it. read more

Waremart by WinCo - the front of the store - Grocery Near Me - Keizer, Oregon

Keizer really needed this! Even when the place is busy, there's tons of parking available, even for the handicapped there are many spots closer to the front. Although the store is on the smaller side, there's still tons of items available for amazing prices. No, there's no deli or bakery, but honestly I wouldn't prefer to buy my fresh deli meat or fresh baked items there anyway. I've gone many times since it just opened and I love going there instead of Safeway or driving all the way to Freddy's. The customer service is pretty good too. read more

Since I discovered the new Waremart in my town I have shopped regularly every week, their produce and meat prices are unbeatable and I save at least $10 a week over Albertsons or Walmart. The store is new and clean, you do have to bag your own items, and they tend to have larger sizes of items rather than the smaller sizes available elsewhere. The store is always very busy after 9AM so shop early. PS, the individually wrapped snack items in the bulk bins are my weakness, I love that I can but one rice krispie marshmallow bar or one fig newton or one little packet of cheese and crackers. read more

Clean n open space. Does not have end caps of products that block every aisle which I really appreciate. They don't have as many choices of brands but what they have is good price. Meat good quality, tried a few different types. Only thing I do not like about the store is no credit. I like to pay all my bills with my card. I really don't like bagging without husband to help, feel like I am blocking the way n have to shove every thing in bags. read more
