Great shop with a great selection of balls and accessories
    Mia R.

The guys here at ProZone are awesome! They really took care of us and created some beautiful balls. From start to finish, they really know their stuff. This was my 1st bowling ball, and was clueless on what to do. They walked me through it all step by step from grip, to measuring hand span, fitting finger holes it was actually interesting. I was a bit intimidated being a 1st timer, but the service is so friendly and comforting they get you excited about getting your ball! They even offer advice for grip, holding and spinning the ball, they are a wealth of knowledge. PROCESS: You walk up to the counter Get your measurements Pick your weight Pick your color and price range and you are on your way! I was SHOCKED at how affordable our balls were, completely shooketh because i was expecting a few hundred dollars. A few days later, your ball is ready, you pick it up and pay and do a final fitting and they send you home with your new ball baby. They also offer a free bowling game voucher which is awesome! Having your own ball is such a great investment, not only fiscally, but also hygenically and you really get to learn on the same ball everytime you play, which will improve your game. Open mon-sat (not on sundays). Inside Winnetka bowling. They have a few pairs of shoes and bags, as well as some accessories. They repair ans service balls as well. The guys here will fully take care of you! Thanks Pro Zone!

The store, small but everything you need.

My wife and I got our first bowling balls here. Rusty and Carl were super nice and helpful with the whole process of sizing us and explaining our options without even trying to upsell us on anything. We also got a 30min lesson from Rusty and may go back for another one because it was so impactful. These guys really love bowling and it shows in their service.

When we asked for an accommodation, the security guard was rude and told us that if my son wanted water, he could walk all the way to the entrance every time, despite the distance from the bowling area. Hoping to resolve the issue, I spoke with the manager, Luis Gonzalez, but unfortunately he was just as dismissive and uninformed about autism and disabilities. Rather than listening and showing compassion, he was rude and unwilling to understand my son's needs. Businesses that serve families should make an effort to educate their staff about disabilities and neurodiversity. With autism becoming more widely recognized, basic awareness, empathy, and reasonable accommodations should not be too much to ask. This experience left us feeling unwelcome and unsupported. I will also be reaching out to upper management, including Cynthia Torres, to make her aware of this situation and to see whether changes can be made. As an autism mom, it is my responsibility to advocate not only for my son but for other individuals with autism and disabilities as well. No family should have to experience being dismissed or treated without understanding when simply requesting reasonable accommodations. My hope is that this feedback leads to better education, awareness, and compassion from staff so that all guests feel welcomed and respected.

Hands down, without a doubt, best bowling alley food I've ever had in my existence. I'll start with the pizza because pizza is my favorite food. I was hesitant because I was at a bowling alley and I guess I've never had good food at a bowling alley until now. But when I looked around at all the pizza being served to different tables I just had to try it. I ordered the pepperoni pizza, and honestly it was sublime. I loved it. It was thin, crispy crust, good sauce, good cheese, good pepperoni. I devoured it. This pizza is better than most pizzas. I enjoyed it just as much as I have enjoyed Wildcrust, possibly enjoyed it more. Simply put, Highland Park Bowl makes a great pizza. Also got the calamari. Truly didn't have high expectations, maybe because I was at a bowling alley, but this calamari was shockingly good to me. Way better than expected, and would 100% order it again the next time I'm here. Additionally it was a pretty good sized portion. My wife ordered the burger and fries. She loved it. I tried it. I loved it. Fries were amazing. Would order it again for sure. The ambience is very cool. Had no idea this place has been around for like a century. Loved the vintage feel. So much character. Staff were super friendly. Although I think they may have been short staffed when we went. It seemed like there was only one server taking care of the whole place. She was really nice though and our food came out surprisingly quick. Came at 5:30pm on a Thursday and parked on the street right out front. Street parking is 1hr up until 8pm I believe. We were in and out of there in less than an hour. I timed it haha. Loved coming here and will be back sometime!

It seems like the complaints and positives are pretty consistent and accurate. The bad: The woman working the front reservations desk was notably unfriendly and unwelcoming, with a negative energy right off the bat. She seemed weirdly annoyed at the presence of customers. And this was at the beginning of the day. I can only imagine what it's like at peak evening hours. There's a total of 8 lanes. We were surprised to find there's a strict one hour limit for lanes unless there's no one else waiting. It would have been helpful if they posted this on their website. A countdown started at 30 minutes left and was displayed on the score screen. The really weird part was at about 10 minutes left, our scores disappeared and never came back. We were still able to play but it was not cool that our whole game's scores were just gone. The time limit made us feel very rushed, which was especially awkward because we ordered food and drinks. The good: As many have said, the best thing about Highland Park Bowl is the beautiful vintage interior design and cool history. There's a lot of impressive detailing and it's fun just walking into the space. We thought the food and drinks were pretty good. We got Pesto Genovese and Contadina pizzas, Calamari, and some cocktails. Though I'm glad to have checked it out, unfortunately with the customer service issues, I was left with a negative feeling and would hesitate to come back.
