But the crane operator was very professional and was able to put them on the top, that helped me tremendously. I had few questions regarding installation and framing for the trusses, I reached them easily and got detailed answers. Red Beacon was so moved by what was done in my apartment, that an exception was made, and I was given $1000.00 and a $250.00 gift card to Home Depot. If you are considering using Classic Construction and Maintenance out of Cotati CA, do yourself a big favor and go to Home Depot in Rohnert Park and speak to anyone in cabinets. What a surprise! Renovating and building doesn't have to be stressful. We actually had FUN with…read moreour project, our licensed contractor, and with all the people who did the work. We worked with Arrowtown Construction--707-934-7465. Clayt is the owner-operator of the business, and most likely, he is going to be the person picking up the phone when you call. With Clayt's help, we added a 10' x 14' room to our rental cabin and replaced all fixtures, including a new entry door, kitchen and bathroom cabinets, a wood floor, gas stove, sliding door, and windows. We also replaced the old siding and painted the exterior. We spent a lot of time with Clayt making decisions and problem-solving when issues came up on this older, not-to-code structure. He is calm and so easy to be with. My husband knows quite a bit about construction, and I know very little. Clayt worked with both of us as equals. Right from the start, all the way through to the last small tasks, he was responsive to our questions and what we were trying to do. He is someone who will take the time to explain, is happy to answer all questions, and doesn't make you feel that you should know this stuff. He uses phone, text and e-mail to communicate in a timely fashion. He almost always answers his phone calls on-the-spot and returns texts within minutes. Important to us, Clayt is budget conscious and gave us information and guidance to help us decide when items might contribute to going over budget. The carpenters and workers who Clayt works with were a delight to have on our property. The cabin is on the same property as our home, and I work out of a home-office; so we saw the work and the workers up close as the renovation progressed each day. The workers were highly skilled, hardworking, here on time every day, friendly, and always happy to show us what had been done that day. They kept the work site clean and free from the evitable debris that accumulates on the job. Clayt also knows and has good relationships with local materials suppliers. We talked with many of them, and they too commented about his reliability and pleasant nature. We're at the end of our project now. What had been our funky 340 sq ft 80+ year old cabin, is now a beautiful space with an open kitchen and living room, windows that bring the outdoors inside, a cozy bedroom and a laundry room. The workmanship on the window casings, wood floor, and baseboards is particularly beautiful. We got really good quality work for very reasonable prices. We can't help but think of the nightmares that friends and family have told us about and breathe a big sigh of relief at how pleasant our renovation was for us.
