Update: I had them come out to install an outdoor outlet and fix a couple problems. They showed up on time and got the work done perfectly in one hour. 5-star experience. ----------------------- I contacted B. Henry's Quality Electric when my solar inverter needed replacement. Even though they didn't perform that work themselves, they referred me to one of their installers and, in the process, saved me money by bypassing the markup they could have charged. That level of honesty is pretty rare. They could easily have kept the work in-house or added a layer of profit, but instead they focused on what was best for me as the customer. They also followed up several times by email to make sure everything was going smoothly and that I was happy with the outcome. We have had B. Henry's out twice now and will be scheduling a third service in a couple of weeks! I really appreciate their professionalism when it comes to being upfront about costs. They gave us a sliding scale depending on labor for specific jobs. When they invoiced us, they included receipts for parts... this is something that we rarely see but it creates a sense of trust and honesty. There are no surprises. Our first job was a lesser, more simple, job-we had at few sockets replaced one of which was a very loose socket that we were concerned about arcing. The second job was more extensive as there were several "needs" in one day. They replaced overhead light fixtures (3 of them), replaced an old and VERY outdated (probably from when our house was built over 35 years ago!) smoke/fire alarm, and installed bedside wall mounted lights. They are GORGEOUS!! On their third visit soon, we will have heated flooring in our master bedroom installed. B. Henry's Quality Electric is the place to go for your electrical needs. Getting quality workmanship in the Rio Nido area is pretty much a crap shoot these days, so I am always leery of who will come to my door and the quality of their work. Bill's company responded very quickly to my request for an estimate. Tina was very personable and accommodating to my schedule, as the house is a summer house and I don't live there. Aron came out and inspected the panel, which was from the 1950's and in serious need of replacement. Bill provided me with a detailed, well-explained estimate, and we scheduled the work for the following week. Aron returned and got right to work. He was personable and professional. It was clear that he knew what he was doing. During the panel switch-out, Aron found that the main breaker outside the house was literally smoked and was definitely a fire hazard. He temporarily replaced it with one of the old breakers from the replaced panel to alleviate the danger, and I just received an estimate for replacing that. We will be scheduling in the near future. They installed a new electrical panel, redid all under house spliced wiring while isolating and separating appliances into less draw grouping and wired to new panel, and they replaced old ceramic light fixtures and fluorescent tube shop lights in the garage with higly efficient LED shop lights. There was some field expediency needed in the kitchen lighting because of the old fixtures, but Vicente took it in stride and the changeover was very smooth. Rego had our floodlights up, angled and working perfectly - all according to Hoyle. The doorbell and light switches were pretty easy for them. All in all, I'd have these gentlemen back any day.
