This dental practice is ONLY interested in talking all your Money. Beware!!!. I went in for a cleaning and was first tricked into taking xrays ( which they will get paid for) telling me that they would do my cleaning afterwards. Then they told me I would have to pay $400 for my cleaning Formerly I had delta dental ppo insurance, and now have Kaiser hmo (delta dental). These people are very shady. They should have told me before they took my x-rays, that they would then tell me how much they would charge for a cleaning. My appointment was for 2:40 and I was not seen until after 3pm. I found this dentist after having a dental procedure which was very poor dental work. I arrived at their dental office in excruciating pain. Dr. Rose (Pacoima office) was kind and understanding of my needs. They gave me immediate attention to my need (pain), and after having completed the antibiotics and reduce the pain Dr. Rose worked on fixing the dental problem. I found Dr. Rose and her staff friendly, and the office is clean I love the relaxing music and images they play while customers wait in the waiting area. So I made an appointment a week ago for a deep cleaning and check up, I arrive, the sign that says "open" is blinking, the hours on the door say they are open, however the doors are locked and no one is answering the phone GHETTO AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!! I had gone to the Pacoima location and felt I had a pretty good experience, until after I had my extraction I had no follow up appointment made or a courtesy call. These people are just out for your money. I have Delta Dental which covers two teeth cleanings a year. Being 83 years old that is all I need to keep the few teeth I have left. Today after going for my appointment they said I need a root canal. I said I just wanted the cleaning. Left work early to be sure to arrive before my 3:30pm appointment. Arrived they asked me all the same questions I had already answered when making my appointment. They gave me papers to fill out including an arbitration agreement, a contract that says if you miss your appointment they can charge you and a document that says you received a copy of their policies which is not given to you. Fast forward to 5pm I still haven't been seen but a walk in without an appointment has. They keep telling me there getting my room ready. 5:20pm I get my teeth cleaned 5:30 I'm done but they now tell me they can't print me a receipt unless I want to wait. I've been a client for over three years now, it's super convenient from my work, and as a cash patient I receive extremely fair prices that I cannot complain about. Sometimes there can be a little wait, but that only assures me that Salina really takes her time with her patients. This isn't a fast and go type of visit and it's YOUR teeth so definitely worth it. I honestly have nothing but great things to say about West Care Dental. The staff are professional, nice, and thorough when explaining the care of my teeth. I have been a patient of Dr Asidera since 2013. I have had thousands of dollars of work done at her office in Woodland Hills, including a dental bridge that she replaced. That dental bridge has popped off several times, the most recent during the Covid pandemic. Before, when it would pop off, she would say that the bridge was still fine and that she would re-cement the bridge and that would be it. At the time, I didn't question this since I trusted her as my dentist and she didn't charge me for re-cementing. I realize now that I should have asked more questions, specifically why her bridge popped out when my previous bridge by another dentist didn't budge for a decade straight. Due to Covid, I missed my regular visits. When I was able to return to get my annual cleaning and x-ray, I told them that the bridge popped off again. The doctor said that the previous dentist didn't do a good job and the bridge would need to be replaced. Huh? but Dr Asidera did my bridge work. She said that her records show that I started being a patient in 2015. Really? I had to go into my records and show them that I had become a patient 2 years earlier. After that, Dr Asidera wouldn't even speak to me directly. She had her insurance biller tell me that they had found my records from 2013, but now I don't even know if they truly found my records, or if they were just trying to appease me so that I would continue to be her patient. Sorry, but you have to have trust in anyone who is in charge of your health, and Dr Asidera has lost mine. read more

Great service, friendly staff and the clinic is pretty nice and accessible with ample parking. I was seen by Dr. Salina Asidera and her hands were light as a feather. She was able to explain to me the condition of my teeth without making me feel horrible about my lack of care and she made sure that I understood all the details of my insurance status before starting the treatment. I have had a fair share of cleaning in my life but with all honesty, this is the first time I actually enjoyed the experience. My wife even noticed the difference when I got home. On March 26,2014 at 9:00am, my mother went for her appointment for check- up and cleaning. It was scheduled weeks ago. While she was on the Dental chair, the office manager/owner was checking her insurance over the phone ( it was on speaker phone where everbody can hear) then when it was time to speak to the representative he took the receiver and talked to the person, apparently according to him my mother has no coverage since 2010. In short we were asked to pay for the services. His name is Jonathan. We opted to go home and not continue with the services. When we got home my mom called the insurance, lo and behold, she was covered! I don't want to say bad things about people, but this is a clear case of discrimination! They should have not scheduled the appointment in the first place! It was really bad and unacceptable! Then, later , I gave them a call regarding my case ( I was also scheduled for my cracked teeth filling) I have no insurance and asked for estimate, Jonathan quoted me as $750 each tooth! OMG! They did my teeth before and it was not anywhere close to $750 each! That's just a regular filling! That is too much! I am very objective and factual in my review! I am a fan of Dr. Salina and her assistant Lani! They are 2 of God's gifts to the Toothland! For fear of certain procedures, I had to ask a lot of questions before they were even done. Dr. Salina would patiently answer everything, and I mean everything, in a very nice, friendly, knowledgeable and clear manner. She also has one of the lightest hands that have worked on my teeth by far (yes, with my love for sweet things, I've gone through more than 10 dentists in my lifetime, so when I say she's good, I surely know what I'm talking about). I did not feel any pressure or hard presses when she's working on me. Lani would make sure that I feel comfortable during the whole time of course. Since I have low tolerance for pain (I mean LOW!), they have a good amount of anesthesia on hand for a painless dental surgery. So far, I have done the following procedures with them: Extraction, Filling, Minor surgery / Crown. I heard they do good Veneers, so I'll probably get that next year. The management also only cares about your money. When it's time to collect money, they are so relentless, but once you've paid for the service, they would stop calling you for follow - ups.
