I live in an apartment that Warner's did year round maintenance (Roseville,Mn) and I have to even write a review of their services. 1. Will salt a totally clean and clear sidewalk in the winter. I have seen this happen multiple times in the last 3 years. The grass is dead next to the sidewalk in many places due to lack of care and consideration, they over salt constantly. 2. Lawn mowers also ran over a new shrub just so they can get the mower behind the immovable bench. They also hit the corner of the building taking off bottom board and siding. Hit the raised garden 2 different times, taking out a upright 2x2 and almost taking out the 2x4 corner support. 3. They have laid terrible, rotten bulk mulch too deep and directly next to the building interfering with airflow and consequently creating black mold. They also put mulch in the hydrangeas! Yes IN the branches of the shrub! I have done lawn maintenance myself and I would Never treat a customer like they have treated this place. Aren't smart enough to blow with the wind. Don't know how to Not blow around a door without blowing grass inside. They will blow into an open window during fall leaf clean up. And will run over trash instead of picking it up. They evidently have a contract to do the apartment I live in, they race their mowers across the lawn quickly, hitting little trees and wound up killing one. Later they came back to do a spring cleanup Which basically consisted of blowing a bunch of leaves from the garden onto the lawn and leaving them there. I Do not recommend them read more

We had them winterize our sprinkler system last fall. When my husband turned on the sprinkler system this spring we had water gushing from one of the lines behind our house. When we contacted Warners about the issue, we were first told it was a veteran guy who blew the sprinkler lines out in the fall and it was unusual for a line to blow but, they would have someone come out. After Warners evaluated the situation and told us the line runs under our concrete patio, they said the guy who evaluated the situation was new and they would send someone else out but, we would have to pay for the service. We continue to get the run around from them with no solution. What happened to companies taking responsibility for their work. Horrible company! read more

We hired Warners to do a spring cleanup the week before our wedding which we had at our home. When they came out, they brough a huge riding mower and drove back and forth and in circles all over the lawn making it muddy and brown. As they were turning the corner with the mover near the house, they ripped the downspout off the house and put it back on facing 90 degrees away from where it should be. They also destroyed a sprinkler hear with the aerator. I called them to let them know about the damages. They said they would send out a manager to take a look. When the manager came out three weeks later, he agreed that they needed to repair the downspout but ignored the fact that the sprinkler head was destroyed. He said that it would take a little time for the repair to be completed because the company they use was a little backed up. In the meantime, the bill arrived which I told them I would pay when they resolved the damage issue to the downspout. After several months of calling with promises that they would get us on the schedule for the repair, a final notice came in the mail. I politely informed them of the arrangement we had and that Warners had not held up their end of the agreement. The man I spoke to was arrogant, and told me that they sent someone out to reassess the damages and found no issues therefore the bill was due and payable. (Was I supposed to leave the downspout off all summer while I waited?) The man was rude and literally told me they weren't going to do anything about the damage despite the prior discussions with them. They then turned the bill over to collections which now forces me to pay the bill with no compensation for the damages. This incident was the final straw and as the VP of our HOA, I have recommended that Warners be taken off our list of maintenance companies we would entertain bids from. Even when we had them fertilize for us through he summer, they were constantly trying to up sell us on special services costing hundreds of dollars. As it turns out, all we needed to do was change lawn care companies. Our lawn looks way better now and with only using recommended applications of regular fertilizer. read more

I had them come out to blow out my sprinklers. I was not home when they did it. I came home, turned my water back on, and water was gushing out of my sprinklers. I called and they said they could come back to fix it but I'd be charged again. It was the lowest price when I did a comparison, and now I know why. Not inexpensive, and their service is absolutely the worst. Lawn looks better than before (chemicals work), but they also sprayed plants and shrubs with very little care. They also seem oblivious to how chemical spray carries in the wind. Anyone taking even the slightest care wouldn't spray upwind of a flower garden or a border of shrubs. Snowplowing is worse. They plow half the width of the driveway, make one pass down the sidewalk with a snowblower. On more than one occasion they have gotten stuck and torn up portions of the lawn. Complaining does not result in change for the better. The people on the phone are nice enough, but they don't seem to hire people who follow instructions or perhaps they are ineffective in conveying instructions to the people in the field. To their credit, they have comped or fixed some of their errors, but the fact that these things happen over and over is beyond frustrating. I cannot imagine that we would ever hire them again once this year's contract is up. read more

Throw fertilizer everywhere (& blow extra right on neighbors sidewalk to rust), run rampant over our neighboring lawns w/no regard for the hard work neighbors put into their own landscaping. After experiencing problems with the work that was done in August, I made one last phone call to either pay the bill or make sure the bill was settled and taken care of after I received it one month ago. I was assured on the phone by the office manager back then that the account was taken care of and it is at zero balance. Fast forward to this week and we received a 2nd notice of an overdue bill with additional charges tacked on. I will be more than happy to pay it once they explain to me why the office manager says one thing and then another employee bills us and does just the opposite. No one answers the phone now and I'm leaving vm's for a courteous call back to explain what is going on. No one is calling us back. Be careful as they have different employees promising different things when in fact it does not happen when it comes to lawncare and billing practices! read more

I have used Warners Outdoor Soulutions for four or five years.they have burned my lawn out twice in this time. They offered to spray paint the lawn green or airate and over seed for free. No mention of sod or hydro seed. I made an appointment to meet with a representative of the company and they scheduled for a week out. A few hours before the meeting a secretary called and cancelled the meeting. I cancelled my service with them and will never use this company again. I can put up with a lot but this is too much. I wouldn't use these people to pick up my leaves. They have no concern for their clients or the service they provide. read more

We have recently gone back to Warner's after a year of down my our lawn ourselves. When we had them 2 years ago, they were great. Now, we can not get them to return calls, have asked for quotes for other services with no response and now, we can not get them out to do Japanese Beatle service on the one day where they are out in full force. The comment was "our technician couldn't make it today so we will come back sometime next week". Unreal - we will be cancelling and not using them in the future. read more

Terrible experience. Called them to get fall clean up done at my house. Was quoted $85/hour and I told them very clearly "I only want my big pile of leaves taked away". I figured they would take up to 2 hours for the work. Ended up getting a bill for $500!! Called them and they claimed it was $85/hour per person. I told them I would never have hired them in that case and also when their 4 guys showed up I told them what I wanted done. He could have given me a quote and said this is probably looking like $500. Updated Review: I need to edit my below review, as after typing it, they did show up. They also returned my call and a very nice man explained that they do not start plowing until after the snow stops. Which I guess makes sense. Yesterday (day of below review), it didn't stop until 3:30. He also explained that the contract says they will get to you within 8 hours. They arrived at 9:40pm. They did do a good job plowing and shoveling - my walk is very clear this morning. I don't know - maybe I need to manage my expectations. I just think that's too late for residential though. And they woke up one of my kids, who came downstairs very alarmed about the truck and the men in the driveway. Original Review: I am so frustrated with these people. They are so nice via phone and via email and seem like good customer service. Their website is good. BUT THEY DON'T SHOW UP when you try to hire them for snow removal. They claim on their website they will come in "a reasonable time" for their regular customers. So I signed up. The first time it snowed 2" , by afternoon they weren't there so we did it ourselves. When I contacted them, they said they came by around 4pm but we had already done it. A few weeks later, they emailed all customers and said to contact them if we were interested in having them come out after only 1" (their standard is 2"). We are having a storm today - likely more than 2", but to be on the safe side I called this morning and said I'd like them to come out at only 1". She assured me that would start today. It is 6pm as I type this, still nobody has arrived (and it is over 2" so it should not be a miscommunication, as I'm on the "regular" list. So I guess I can't rate how well they plow, because they haven't ever shown up. How do you run a business this way? read more
