Everyone in the very large class was very well disciplined, polite, helpful and very down to earth This is the telltale signs of being trained by one of the best in the martial arts My daughter and son have both trained in various arts since very young but they had no idea who Dan Inasanto was until the night before I brought them to a class then they were reciting all of Dan's accolades To me in the car ride to the Academy Once they enter the class I expected them to get totally lost because there were several different levels of students in the class , But not only did Guru Dan spend time working with both my children but other students of higher level assisted them and made sure they felt comfortable and fell right into line The class was run masterfully in my opinion, Though we had to depart to the airport the next morning my children asked when we could relocate so that they can train further in the Academy I can go on forever, but my family and I would like to thank Guru Dan and all the students and employees that welcomed my children to class and did such a great job making the greatest martial arts experience for them! And my sincerest apologies for taking so long to get this review written.

Her workouts are tough but so much fun, and I've become noticeably stronger and more fit because of her classes. She's not only supported my fitness journey but has also become a great friend and source of encouragement. Kaya is attentive, kind, knowledgeable, strong, motivating, and deeply understanding of each person's physical ability. She pushes you to be better and stronger, while always offering modifications when needed. As she often says, "It hurts so good." Jordan, the owner and instructor, is both a wonderful person and an exceptional coach. His classes are fun, engaging, and heavily focused on proper form. He's the coach who ingrained in me the importance of always keeping my hands up--something that's now second nature. Jordan is kind, funny, and incredibly understanding. Over time, I've faced many personal challenges--family, work, finances, and mental health--and he has consistently supported me through it all. Thanks to his encouragement and generosity, I've been able to stay committed to the gym during both the good and the difficult times. I'm truly grateful for the unwavering support he and Kaya have provided me. I highly recommend trying classes with all the coaches--each one brings a unique approach to boxing form, technique, and workout intensity. You're bound to find the right fit for your personal goals. I'm incredibly thankful to have found JFM and to be part of such a welcoming, friendly, and fun environment. The community here fosters a culture of inclusivity, as well as both physical and mental empowerment.

They know you are new and will help guide you with your first steps. It takes a little time to adjust to the routine and what the training is like but you will easily get a rhythm if you show up consistently. They want you to come back and they want you to improve. Also They let you try out the gym before you sign on. They have lots of gym equipment in here as well so there is no need to pay extra for another gym membership just to lift weights. It's like a playground, you can come in and lift weights, you can practice on the bags and get better or you can take the different classes they offer all under one roof.

There's so much I could say about Pete and this gym- but to keep a long story short- I'm grateful I ended up here of all places. I was 21 and new to LA. I've struggled with weight all my life and wanted to find something to keep in shape. Thought I was going to boxing, ended up in Jiu Jitsu. I was the only girl, which can be scary. But Pete was super welcoming and treated me very equal to the guys and believed in me. I fell in love with the sport and did everything day and night- MMA, muay thai, bjj. Pete believes in people and CARES about his fighters. He's a very genuine and honest person, and his leadership trickles down into the culture. He's very much a life teacher in many ways and loves his analogies lol. I've learned so much about not just fighting, but life and the martial arts ways. Like I said, Pete and this gym has changed my life. 10/10 one of the best things that's ever happened to me!!

What impresses me most isn't how he handles the easy days - it's how he shows up on the hard ones. Even when kids (such as mine) struggle to listen, get distracted, or have difficulty following directions, Master Alonzo remains patient, consistent, and incredibly dedicated. Recently, after a particularly challenging class, he stayed an additional 30 minutes afterward to talk with my son one-on-one and practice the moves he missed during the class. Many instructors would have simply moved on. Master Alonzo chose to invest even more of his time and energy into helping my son succeed. He holds kids accountable while still making them feel supported, and he genuinely cares about their growth both on and off the mat. The discipline, patience, mentorship, and heart he brings to teaching are rare. We are beyond grateful to have him as a role model in my son's life. The positive impact he is making extends far beyond martial arts, and our family couldn't appreciate him more.

We were looking for a fresh start, and switching to Alonzo's was the best decision we could have made. He is super personable and remembers every single kid, and sometimes he will go over his class time to insure each kid learned fairly. Master Alonzo has studied child development, and it completely shows in his teaching style. He knows exactly how to capture the kids' attention and keep them motivated. Because of his expertise, he was able to earn Adam's trust and spark his interest in martial arts all over again. The progress has been mind-blowing: Adam learned much more in just two weeks here than he did in four months at his old school. He is doing so well now, and I couldn't be prouder of Adam for overcoming what he's been through. I am so deeply thankful and grateful that Master Alonzo is teaching my son!

I was still insecure when I had a bad situation at hand. But, after training with Brady I feel confident. Fight to survive. He really shows you how to attack more efficiently and how to use every part of your body as a weapon. Head, elbows, knees, shoulders, how to use your body weight and your opponents for your advantage and how to turn the tables of being "pray" to becoming the "predator". I highly recommend everyone to try it, and see for yourself how this works. And training with Brady is a great exercise! You sweat the whole time.
