I noticed that many of the special rolls contain imitation crab which is better for families with children or people new to sushi but I prefer a more variety of rolls that don't contain imitation crab. The rice in the sushi was a little mushy but the sushi overall was alright. The dragon roll was the best out of the rolls we've ordered. I was craving sushi and was in town so decided to come try this place. They seemed to have mixed reviews on yelp but better reviews on google. We ordered a bunch of food to try and some of my favorite was the spicy hamachi, playboy and scallop sushi. Everything was fresh and tasty. I love fresh rolls so I was so happy that they had a bunch of choices. They also have a bunch of cooked rolls as well if that's what you are into. Overall if I'm ever in town I would recommend getting sushi there again. The environment is what I expected. Dimmed lighting, a lot of tables and cozy feeling. Last Wichita stop for this trip. We had a party of 7 and got a table on Sunday as soon as they opened. Our server was so friendly and so attentive to all of our table. My husband and I ordered a Japanese burrito for an app that was so great. You could have this for your meal. Stuffed full of spicy tuna and crab. So yummy. Wow! I really enjoyed my second visit here. I went here a few months ago, and was not very impressed by my first visit. However, I gave it another shot and I'm glad I did! I ordered carry out while in the store, and the staff was incredibly helpful and quick to help. They took my order immediately, gave me a rough time estimate, and made the wait pretty easy- despite it being a Saturday night too. Shoutout to the staff! The Spider Roll was worth it! It does cost more, but I think all of the specialty rolls are worth it. However, I wish I got another specialty roll instead of a classic salmon roll. It was the added portion that helped get me full though so I can't complain. Chicken gyoza was full of flavor, just a tad less crispy I wish it was. Other than that, I am glad I went again. We had several rolls and none really stood out, except for one that was awful. Service: Non existant. The dining room was empty, so the waitress was more focused on chit chatting with a co worker and folding napkins, than checking in on us. I mentioned that one roll was nasty and we left most of it on the plate. She was indifferent and didn't bother asking why we only had two pieces and left the rest. The restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside coming in, but once inside it looks completely different. It's got a good vibe with spacious interior. It had dim lighting with blacked out windows so it was easy on the eyes. The sushi here was definitely the best I've had in Wichita. I love this place. They always get my order right and I am a fan of many of their rolls. All the staff seem to be happy to explain menu items when necessary without making you feel uncomfortable. My husband is not a big fan of sushi but even he will eat several of their rolls. This place blew my mind in terms of expectations! There was plenty of chicken to eat that filled me to the brim. We also had the popcorn lobster sushi. Thoroughly interested in this roll as it was topped with friend lobster pieces which I've never heard of before. I was expecting a few lobster pieces, but to our surprise, the lobster pieces practically buried the sushi below! To say this place has gone downhill would be an understatement. The service was jumbled and awkward, with credit cards being lost, nobody knowing where food went, and some food just not showing up. Our server was blaming the kitchen and other servers for her not entering tickets correctly, which was very unprofessional, and quite frankly made us uncomfortable. Our food was...okay. The Amy roll was bland, uninspired, and ugly if I'm being honest. Everything else tasted fine, but came out in a pretty much random order. My fiancée's sushi came out 10 minutes after mine, and the appetizer came out 10 minutes after that. There are also oriental lamps and wall arts throughout the restaurant to create an oriental setting. 2. Food: I had ordered the Galbi Short Rib lunch portion. It was delicious. Everything on that plate really delivered. I thought the short rib was tender with an amazing marination. Moreover, the sushi was refreshing and the vegetable tempura was crispy. The lettuce was covered with a citrus sauce, which was tasty as well. 3. Service: Shelby helped our table and she was amazing. She checked up on our table and was very helpful throughout our experience. She did great. 4. Costs: The lunch portion costs $11.95. You're getting quite a bit for this meal.
