I have been wanting to try this place for a long time. My daughter came into town and asked if we could go after our massage appointment. Yeah... Small place with some parking. Looked clean. Friendly staff. Prices very good. The first thing my daughter ordered for us was the Spicy Edamame $5.95. OMG I loved it! The flavors were just spicy enough. I would have been happy eating the whole bowl as my dinner. I am not a sushi person but my daughter is! She had the Nemo Roll-$12.95. She personally does not like crunchy stuff in her roll which it had but she said it was still good. Earthquake Roll- $13.95 was her favorite. Philadelphia Hand Roll $5.95 was good. She said she would come back. I am a tempura girl, so I ordered 2 shrimp, 2 onion and 1 sweet potato $7.25. On my plate were two different textures of tempura. The shrimp had a flaky texture and the veggies had a beer batter texture. I asked the waitress if two different batters were used and she said she did not know but would ask the cook. She has been asked this question before and she too thought he must be using different batters. She came back with a NO, but he is acting like it is a secret. No big deal, I was just wondering why they looked so different. When I bit into the shrimp it had an after taste. As I kept eating, I kept getting that taste... maybe the oil was old but the veggies did not have that after taste. So, I am not a big fan of their tempura. I have had better. (I looked back at pictures from another place I had Tempura and the picture looked the same, so perhaps it is just the food in how the batter cooks on it...humm-???) They have a good selection on the menu, so the next time I go I will try the Teriyaki or the Curry. The service was good. One of my pet peeves is a waitress that keeps asking if everything is okay. Keep your eye on me and you should be able to tell if I need you or not. She was perfect. Best sushi in town! Look no further for your sushi cravings as this is the best go-to spot in Jacksonville! I always place my order online through their website for pick up. Pick up is very fast and easy. Customer service is great and there's lots of parking in their lot. Their sushi is pretty solid and fresh! Service has always been fantastic, and even when something is wrong or messed up, they're quick to correct it or offer it to you free of charge next time or take it off if you won't be back for a bit. Fantastic sushi. The salmon nigiri was done well. The rice was a little on the mushy side (marginally), but one of the best I've had since moving to the south. I love that my green tea was served to my table in a kyusu, at the right temperature (you don't put green tea in boiling water as it scorched the leaves and ruins the flavor profile) and I could let it steep to my taste (I like my green tea stronger than most restaurants serve). The service was perfect, helpful, but not too intrusive so my son and I could have great, uninterrupted conversation. I was surprised when the bill came, it was much lower than I anticipated. The food was good in my opinion just like every other Japanese food place. Very nice decor and cozy vibes. The prices were reasonable similar to every other place. The service was very good though. Very friendly and nice even though it was very packed. I got the katsu-don bowl and in my opinion it was way too sweet. The miso soup wasn't like any other place In a bad way, typical miso soup is good but idk what it is but this miso soup was weird. I ordered pumpkin tempura, and though the flavor was good they didn't bother to drain the oil from the fried vegetable, so it said in Greece in the to go container. I also ordered yaki soba, the choice was udon noodles or soba noodles, they served a spaghetti type noodle, not a soba noodle. I'm very disappointed, and yes since I lived in Okinawa for almost 18 years I know that I didn't receive the product/food I ordered. read more

Where do I start this place is the best sushi ive had in a very long time and iv eaten sushi in Japan. Don't get me started the dancing girl roll makes me throb as it goes down my gizzard. The Miami roll makes my toes curl and legs shake as I lay it upon my tongue. The old classic volcano roll makes me arch my back and grip my chair as it goes in my belly. New to the area so based on reviews decided to try Wasabi. We were hoping for a sit down restaurant but found out it was take out only. Only waited about 20 minutes for our food. The people working there couldn't have been nicer, even when we left they waved to us in the car and threw heart sign & hugs to us. Very sweet, appreciative and unexpected. What surprised us as well is that I guess because we purchased so much, they gave us a complimentary Spicy Monster roll. Our sushi place back home does that too. We ordered the shrimp shumai, rock & roll, Godzilla, sailor men, Jacksonville. Every item was very fresh and presented nicely. Our favorites were the Godzilla and rock & roll & Jacksonville as they had the most flavor. We will definitely be back to try other items on the menu. read more
