We haven't been here for couple of years, but the quality and taste are still great. The old owner Alex has past away, but the the new owner continues the same traditional foods. We always sit at the bar to talk to the sushi chefs and see what is fresh. The feel of the location has been low key, with many open spots. Could be the unseasonable cold temp of 27F.

Best sushi ! Sat at the bar and Mike the chef is amazing just watching him create his sushi dishes ! I've been following him since his days at Goros over 17 years ago and will continue. Great sushi, atmosphere, and location is super convenient right off highway.

Came for a birthday dinner. Our server brought so much energy to the table. They even took sake bombs with us. With a big party they were attentive and only missed a few items at first. They were very nice to give us everything we needed to cut and serve our cake.

I came back to try this place out again and was very impressed with the food and service. The only issue is there is a stench in the restaurant l I think it's coming from the bathrooms. Other than that, everything else was great.

Wife and I wanted a relaxed meal after a busy weekend, so we headed to Wasabi! We'd been before and really liked their yellowtail sashimi. The music was audible, but not overbearing. The atmosphere was calm which we greatly appreciated. We were sat in a booth, given waters, miso soup, and salad to start. I also ordered a Kirin Ichiban beer. They brought it out cold and with a cold glass. Wonderfully crisp taste. Our server was nice and ready to answer any questions we might have. The miso soup met expectations. I've definitely had miso that has felt watered down before and that was not the case here. The lettuce in the salad was crisp. We ordered the spicy rainbow roll and crazy salmon roll. You really can't go wrong with rainbow roll and my wife was willing to indulge me and my love for spicy. The rainbow roll is always so fresh and the variety of fish keeps it interesting. The spice was manageable so I of course mixed wasabi and soy sauce for just a hint of sinus clearing tingle at my nostrils. The crazy salmon roll was also delicious! My wife loves a good crunchy roll and both rolls met that goal. Wasabi has become one of our favorite SA sushi spots and we definitely recommend it to our friends and family. Cheers!

Great happy hour! Weekdays 4-7 pm. Their sushi was good too! We got the Ikura sushi, salmon sushi, Shibuya roll, yellow tail roll. The fish was fresh! Plus edamame (plain and spicy/garlic). I think next time I'll just get the plain edamame and the garlic one, the spicy was a little too spicy. The jalapeño bombs were great also but insanely spicy for me. Good, friendly service. It wasn't busy on a Tuesday at 5:30/6 pm. Not sure what it's like on the weekends. Will be back!

I would not recommend wasabi, and definitely think there are better options for sushi. I ordered a shrimp tempura roll and was severely disappointed it came wrapped in soy paper which was not specified on the menu. That being said, there was an excessive amount of rice for the roll. The fish quality itself is okay but I don't think I would come back.

Spacious and diverse restaurant with great service and food! Our server was very kind and patient! Their happy hour has some great deals, and the regular sashimi prices are great!! They have sushi, korean, and chinese inspired dishes. Lots of indoor seating, ranging from bar to booth to tables! The mussels appetizer was one of my favorites- although it is very rich and filling. The salmon sashimi was incredibly fresh and thick! The salmon roll was great too. My favorite roll was the salmon avocado- they gave generous portions of both! Would highly recommend this restaurant, especially for their happy hour. Anothet plus is that they have complimentary soup and salad when you dine in!

Great service the waitress was super nice and friendly. Made to make sure ask if we had any questions about the menu. The inside was nice and clean. No one was really there so it felt like we had the place to ourselves. I got the sushi which is why I really came. I wanted to try a new spot. The sushi was fresh and tasted great. They don't use a lot of rice which is nice. I got a good amount of sushi and wasn't overly full. I will definitely be coming back.

Not one to leave reviews but I door dashed my food and this is what's sent to me. Like seriously wtf is this quality? Even the pieces that don't look like that are still insanely chewy and doesn't taste fresh whatsoever. If this is the quality that's good to send out then I dont even know how you guys are still in business. Never eating here again and there goes my dinner into the trash.

Spurs Roll 5/5 hit the spot, exact what I wanted. Crispy and creamy with a little kick of spice.

Just ordered through doordash and it is so yummy. It was ready fast and travelled well. The Spurs rolls are delicious and creamy!

We planned to meet family friends for dinner tonight. We had decided to meet @wasabisushisa. Happy hour ended at 7pm. Dad had Lemonade, Hubby had Iced Green Tea, and I had hot green tea. We all had the complimentary salad with ginger dressing. Hubby, Dad and Dr. Tan had miso soup. Dad had wanted Shrimp Tempura so we ordered that. We also ordered Salmon sashimi. Grace had the Calamari. Several of us had the Chilean Sea Bass. Loved the salad and shishito peppers. We also had the Bacon-wrapped Scallops. Everything was delicious! David was our server and took good care of us. We ended up taking home some food.

THIS PLACE IS REALLY GOOD! GREAT SERVICE AS WELL!…read more Food: 4/5 The food has a great taste! I really loved the galbi, it was a little sweet but very good. The Banchan aren't what I'm used to, I guess I wish there was more variety. No rice paper, no radish, no mac salad, no potato salad...we did order the fried dumplings- they were good. Service: 5/5 They're very kind and attentive! The small group of women who run this place are doing a phenomenal job. All around:4/5. The plates are a bit small (I am a light eater and still found them not very big for the price) not ridiculously small, but on the smaller side. I am also used to Koreatown - Los Angeles Korean food which I feel is a league of its own (lol) so it's definitely hard for me to like just any Korean food. There were 7 different banchan options, and some were great while others were just okay. The fish cake and kimchi cucumbers were good, but others like the kimchi and the bean sprouts could have used more flavor. As an entree, I ordered the spicy tofu soup, but I wish it was a little spicier! The soup also had a stronger seafood/fish taste compared to other tofu soups I've had, which I didn't expect. The service was just okay, not rude but also not excessively nice. I liked how cozy the inside felt with the dim lighting!

The Beef Japchae was packed with veggies, tender beef, hot, and the sweet potato noodles brought the right about of texture to the dish. The Beef Bulgogi plate was an explosion of flavor in every bite. The beef was tender and always a great go-to. Each dish came with a side of white rice. Chas Market & Kitchen had been long on my list and since it was minutes away, seemed like the most logical choice. I have constantly heard people sing its praises. I will say I'm not versed in Korean fare. I had previously went to another Korean Restaurant and had a terrible experience. It is somewhere on the outskirts of the Eastside, alongside the highway. From the exterior it feels like a neighborhood convenient store. Once inside the room opens up with ample seating and tables. I noticed the tables that are specifically for their "All You Can Eat" menu but that's for another review. Along the walls are fridges with drinks and little knick knacks. It reminded me of a bodega. After we found a seat a server came and left menus. The menu is really extensive. I decided on their beef bulgogi, again a redo after the previous restaurant fiasco. A hip soundtrack is playing overhead, which I believe gives the place a modern vibe. Before I go on I must include that the server was excellent. I say this as he was very attentive but still able to work the rest of the room. Whenever I go to a new place sometimes I feel an anxiety. My fear is being disappointed and having wasted my time. But my impression is that it is an ultra laid back place. You can leave your Armani suit and Louboutin shoes at home. When the food came to the table it was served on a plate steaming similar to a fajita plancha. The server brought over accompanying small dishes that are meant to be added to the bulgogi. The small dishes contained: kimichi, spicy cucumbers, radish etc. Combining any or all with the dishes heightened the flavors. I think this was the most unique tasting thing I've had this year. In addition if you want a drink you have to choose one from their wall of fridges. I think this might dissuade some patrons but again, the overall experience is like that of a bodega. If you are looking for great Korean food with excellent service by all means go to Chas Market & Kitchen. So far this year this has been the restaurant with the most unique flavors. It is perfect for a date night, friends or with family. And I have to, have to absolutely do their "All You Can Eat" where you cook all items. I'm buying if someone else is doing the cooking.

Unfortunately, this visit was the complete opposite. My husband and I ordered the all-you-can-eat option. After being seated, it took about 10 minutes just to get our drinks before our waiter took our order. Our meat didn't arrive for another 15 minutes, even though the restaurant wasn't busy aside from a larger group in the back. To make matters worse, our appetizers came out after the meat, and one of the appetizer orders was incorrect. After dropping off our food, our waiter disappeared for about 15 minutes. My husband had to flag him down just to get drink refills, order another round of meat, and have our dirty dishes cleared from the table. Once we placed our second meat order, we waited another 15 minutes for just eight pieces of meat, and that was only after my husband had to remind the waiter twice. Because of the constant delays waiting for our food to arrive, we didn't even get to eat our money's worth of the all-you-can-eat option. We spent more time waiting than actually eating. To top it all off, when we asked for the check, it took a long time for the waiter to bring it. After dropping it off, he never came back to collect the payment. We eventually gave up waiting, and my husband had to walk to the front counter just to pay our bill. We've always enjoyed coming to Kim's, which is why this experience was so disappointing. We understand that every restaurant can have an off day, but there was little attentiveness throughout our entire meal despite the restaurant not being busy.
