    Chicken and Shrimp Teriyaki

I finally got visit Mr. Teriyaki for dinner, the place inside is very spacious, modern, and open space layout plenty of seating around so can accommodate families easy. The staff was very friendly however it did take about 20 minutes for my order to be ready. The food was ok, there is a hint of teriyaki in my fried rice chicken and shrimp platter however overly cooked and salty. Overall it was ok, not the best teriyaki I had, prices are a little high for what you're getting.

Hit up Mr Teriyaki for a Thursday lunch as I noticed the restaurant is new to the area and I'm in need of a new place for my weekly rotation. The inside is new, clean and has a nice energy about it. Food is prepared in front of you like any good Japanese's restaurant would do. You order at the front and pickup your food at the counter, so no table service is included. The food was lacking any real distinguishable flavor from just the standard mall restaurant when it comes down to it. I had the chicken teriyaki with fried rice and it was just OK. Perhaps it needs a Mrs Teriyaki to come in and adjust the seasoning somewhat. Japanese food is typically not real spicy but can be well seasoned. However, my dish fell short on that account. It's good enough to be a repeat patron but not a regular. Till next time, Gochisosama

I love me some good bento box and Mr T delivers. GREAT serving size for the price, great flavor and variety. Add in a few sushi roll options along with standard teriyaki options as well and its a win win. The sushi rolls are HUGE bites so go into snake mode and unhinge that jaw cause you are going to need it. Pretty quick service, prices a bit on the higher side but you do get alot of food for what you pay. Would be nice to have some of the condiment and sauces away from the front register where it gets a bit crowded, and would be nice to have a self service drink station but overall good time, good food and certainly will go back again, when that Bento craving hits again

FIRST TIME VISIT! This place was a nice surprise! First that this new location was conveniently placed near our home. Yay! And second that it's actually pretty good. I've never been to a Mr. Teriyaki before so I had no idea what to expect. At best, I'd hoped for a good teriyaki bowl, but this place's menu met and exceeded that. Vegans, vegetarians, pescatarians, carnivores and omnivores alike can all commune together harmoniously to enjoy a lovely meal. Portions are HUGE, flavors are good to really good and I have no complaints about the service. One thing though, I didn't care for the boba drink, clearly made from instant powder- but they should consider a different brand. What I do like is the salad dressing, portions and the bonus extras in the bento box. Honestly, I think the egg rolls AND gyoza is excessive, they ought to have the customer choose one or the other. Hey! Don't get mad! I'm thinking like a business owner right now. Anyway, grateful for new flavors in our ever growing community on the far westside. Thank you, Mr. Teriyaki for taking a chance on us over here. We're hungry!

We are so excited that there is a much closer Teriyaki spot to us now! This is a great spot. no kids menu but my kids still love to get the Bento boxes to try ALL the things every time we come. Definitely recommend stopping by and trying! They do get SUPER busy and the wait even for takeout can get long so if you are in a hurry maybe call ahead!

Wow! Now I see why so many people love the other spots. I was excited to hear we were getting a location close to our house. Loud and busy atmosphere as the kitchen opens up to the dining room. Our family ordered two chicken bento boxes which came with white or fried rice ($3.50 up charge for Lo mein), two gyozas, two fried egg rolls, salad and 4pc California tool sushi. We opted for the fried rice and wanted to try the lo mein which was excellent. We also opted for a shrimp plate with fried rice. It came with 12 large fresh shrimp on top that were cooked perfectly. Also tried a taro and pineapple smoothie. You can add Boba and it comes in pretty cool plastic cups that can be reused. Way cool concept. Overall, service was fast. Our food came out hot, fresh and in large portions. We ended up taking half home as leftovers. This place will for sure join our line up of local to go places.

Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Portions were huge and enough to share. Love the clean restaurant environment. Christian the cashier was very personable and inviting. Made our first experience great. Would come again! I loved the shrimp Bento. Fried rice was just okay not anything special but the egg roll and gypzas were flavorful. Even sushi impressed. We tried the dragon roll. Only complaint is one of the managers appeared to be speaking kind of harshly to a female employee as she was plating food when I went up for a refill. As someone who used to work in food service it was not good to see.

The chixken teriyaki here is great, gp for the plate with rice and veggies. This is like the mall chicken you know and love, but a heaping serving. The sushi is nothing great, but then again I wasnt expecting it to be sushi restaurant tier. Definitely ok though. The inside of this new location is spacious with plenty of room to move around and sit comfortably. The condiments and to go boxes are at their own station so you don't need to bother the staff or wait in line. Service here was amazing and everyone was nice and helpful.

The food was good everything else was bad. Very disappointed. We decided to try this spot out since it's new to our neighborhood and we have looked forward to them opening. We came and since it was pretty noisy decided to order to go. There are plenty of seats for small parties and groups. The cashier was friendly and offered only broccoli for my order when I was questioning no carrots. That part went well. After waiting 30 minutes I went up to the front to ask about our order. The lady said "we are busy". I said, "I know and I've been waiting for 30 minutes so can you give me an update. My ticket was placed in the section for orders already given out. She even asked if I had my order. Why would I want to know where my order is if I don't have it. Make it make sense. 15 minutes later and I had my food. We waited 45 minutes for teriyaki chicken. No apology. No offer for a gift card. Just we are busy. But yall gave my food away AND my buzzer never went off smh. On to the food, the food was good. Not worth the wait but we weren't disappointed in the taste of the food. The chicken and beef were very tender. The broccoli was a little crunchy but tasty. The fried rice was delicious. The last bad thing...what the heck is the yum yum sauce. Please throw that sauce in the trash and try again please. It is not yum yum sauce call it something else bc NO! If we go back we will def order online and check to make sure our food order is correct. But it will be a while. But if you have patience try them out bc the food is good. Nice option on this side of town.

Noodles and shrimp. both were nice but noodles were cutted like spaghetti

The food was exceptional, particularly the sides, which I unfortunately did not capture on camera. The service was somewhat confusing, as we were informed that our beverages would be delivered to us, but instead, we were required to retrieve them ourselves. The ambiance was pleasant, reminiscent of a typical local store. We were able to observe the chefs at work, but it is advisable to refrain from recording them, as they may become distracted. The establishment maintains cleanliness by cleaning its tables daily, although our table was unfortunately not spotless. Overall, JPot is better than this.

    Combo lo mein.

First time here but disappointing. I had the combo lo mein. Super salty, it was almost inedible. The shrimp was chewy and the beef was very tough. Would not get again. Was hoping this place would be good but in all honesty, Panda Express is better.

Atmosphere was nice very clean. Ordered shrimp fried rice and crab Rangoon. Food was burnt, the shrimp was tuff, and the crab Rangoons were over fried. I was very disappointed. I ordered to go so I could not return the food. The place was not busy so I was not sure why my food was burnt. Big waste of $25

    Chicken Beef Bento Box

Been waiting to give this spot a try and it did not disappoint. Price is great for the ount of food you get. We got the Combination Bento Box and the Chicken and Beef Bento box and both were great. Came with two gyosa, two spring rolls, side salad, 4 pieces of sushi and the main course with rice or low mein. Everything was fresh and staff was super friendly. Definitely coming back and bringing more of my family for sure.

Mediocre food at high costs. Worst part is the hour wait and the employees acting like they have no clue what is going on.

Service was quick. We got seated right away and relieved our appetizer and drinks quick, The food was soooo good. I have no way of explaining how good the sushi was. The menu is smaller than other all you can eat buffets but I think it's a must if you're a sushi lover. My favorite is the THrill. Which is listed on the specialty roll. It had layers of flavor and diff heats all wrapped in one. The barackade is my second favorite. It was very unique and a sweet sour spicy kick to it. It was not over powering. Over all I give this place a 10/10.

Their Toast payment screen suggested tip percentages based on the original bill of $261.05, even though our actual total due was only $187.08. That means the "18%, 20%, and 25%" buttons were calculating tips on an amount nearly $74 higher than what we actually owed, which inflates the suggested tip by a significant amount. Most people are paying quickly and trusting the machine, so this setup absolutely feels designed to push customers into over-tipping without realizing it. Tipping should be based on the final amount owed, not an inflated pre-discount number. Management really needs to fix this because it leaves customers feeling misled at the very end of their meal.

The outside of the building shows its age with some faded menu advertisements, but once inside the restaurant opens up more than I expected. At first it feels small, but past the bar there's a comfortable-sized dining room. Every TV was tuned to the World Cup, which gave the restaurant a fun, energetic atmosphere during my visit. Service was prompt and friendly. My waiter recommended the pork for the momo dumplings and also suggested pairing the meal with one of their Himalayan beers. After reading several Yelp reviews, I ordered the sizzling pork momo, naan, and chicken vindaloo. I also took the beer recommendation, which ended up being a good decision considering I ordered the vindaloo at a 4 out of 5 spice level. The sizzling momo was the standout of the meal. The dumplings were excellent, and the accompanying sauce was flavorful enough that I found myself dipping almost everything into it. The basmati rice was perfectly cooked, and the chicken vindaloo had a nice level of heat without overwhelming the other flavors. The chicken itself was tender and cooked well. Portions were generous, and I ended up with more food than I could comfortably finish by myself. Overall, this was a great first visit. I was iffy because I've tried curry a couple times before and didn't like it because it has a slight sweetness, but I prefer savory and spicy. So I decided to go with it and make it spice level medium so give me what I like and balance the possible sweetness. I chose everything else on my own, but she did comment that the shrimp tempura was really good and she was not lying!! They put some kind of topping on it and it's amazing. For everything I ordered, it was $36. In my opinion, the pricing was incredible. And I drove all the way from here to my home on the northeast side to eat and everything was still hot and crunchy! So I'm thinking it was made fresh. They put my curry on the side so I could add it myself which was smart thinking! They obviously have a great team. Even on busy weekends, managers were constantly checking on guests, the self-serve bars were fully stocked, and the servers were knowledgeable about the menu and enthusiastic about the experience. It felt like they were trying to showcase Japanese barbecue and hot pot--not just serve a meal. Fast forward to today's visit... what happened? From the moment we walked in, the hostess acted like our arrival was an inconvenience, despite greeting customers being the job description. Our server was pleasant enough, but completely lacked enthusiasm for the product. At one point, when discussing an item, the response was essentially, "If you don't like it, you don't have to eat it." Fair enough--but that's light-years away from the hospitality we experienced just a few months ago. The self-serve stations have apparently changed, and several items now have to be ordered through the server. That's perfectly fine, but it would've been nice if someone had explained that at the beginning of the meal instead of us discovering it near the end. Then there were the bathrooms... I'm not a restaurant owner, but if you're open during Saturday lunch in the middle of a shopping center and business appears slower than it once was, you'd think keeping the restrooms clean would be a manageable priority. Soap dispensers were hanging off the wall, paper towels were stacked all over the bathroom, trash covered the floors, and--ironically--I found the napkins I couldn't get at my table... in the restroom. The employees clearing tables looked less like restaurant staff and more like high school students serving detention or trying to earn extra credit. The whole place feels like it lost its identity. What was once a polished, family-friendly restaurant with pride in the experience now gives off a "Come on, man... it's not that big of a deal if things are a little gross. We're trying our hardest." vibe. J-Pot used to have standards. Somewhere along the way, those standards seem to have been replaced by cost-cutting and indifference. The food is still good(ish, but that for a different time), but the experience that made this place special has largely disappeared--and that's the most disappointing part. Will JPot bounce back? Or will Jpot succumb to the lackadaisical labor mentality of the modern day employee (I blame communism) and commit seppuku??? The world awaits....
