Food is always delicious. Service is by far the worst. If you're in a hurry or want drink refills go elsewhere

This place was really good! I loved all the options and was delighted to find YOU CAN ORDER SOMETHING ON FIRE! I mean yeah you expect that at certain places but not at a sushi place! So OF COURSE I ORDERED IT! THIS GIRL IS ON FIYAAAAAAAAHHHHHH! But seriously it was called Girl on Fire so like I wanted to sing that and the Hunger Games theme all at once. It was just stupidly fun ok. Also it definitely burned longer than I expected it to. The only thing I didn't like was the horseradish on it. I would definitely get it again just to have it be on fire but I think there was another option so I'd look at that next time instead. The seaweed salad and fried rice were amazing. And you know what not everyone can do a good fried rice. But this one was great and I didn't even ask for any sauces to go with it. It tasted great as it was. Loved: - Rice: Fried - Salad: Seaweed Ok: - Sushi: Girl on Fire

Grabbed dinner following work with my cousin that was driving through town. We started with the calamari and stuffed jalapeños. Definitely try the jalapeños, pretty sure I could have had a plate full of those for my meal. Not too spicy and the flavors meld together so they are not too fishy either. For our sushi rolls, we did the kamikaze, come and get it, and crazy rolls with some eel unagi. Out of those I liked the come and get it the best. The kamikaze was almost to "soggy" in the middle, the fish was a mix and not a solid piece. Maybe it was just a texture thing for me. The flavor was spot on on all of them, but again the come and get me was top in this department also. It was a beautiful night, so when we arrived around 8:00 pm we basically had the place to ourselves - though the patio was full. Outdoor seating is available. Our server, Megan, was great. There are more than one location around St. Louis, tonight we were at the one in Beal St in St Charles.

The food was amazing! Went on a Saturday night and did not have a wait. Our server was absolutely amazing as well as the other staff. Can't wait to go back and try other rolls!

Stopped in wasabi for dinner on a Saturday night. They weren't busy when we got there, but they quickly filled up. It seemed like they only had 2 people waiting tables, but they were still great and hard working. Ambiance was ok honestly. It was kind of bright We had potstickers and 4 rolls. The potstickers were SO good! Definitely recommend. We also got rolls (which were $7 which is CRAZY good pricing! Not sure if it was just a random Saturday night special but it was awesome) Playboy - 4/5 Kamikaze - 4/5 CJ special - 5/5 Spicy Mango - 3/5 Potstickers - 5/5 CJ special was super good! The seared fish on top with the crunchies were delicious. Will definitely be back!

I came to Wasabi as I was craving some delicious Japanese cuisine. I did not have reservations and the wait was around 15 mins (not too bad for a Saturday night). The service was solid for having nearly every table in the restaurant consistently occupied. I got the bento box w/chicken and the ginger salad. The salad was small- I'd definitely go for the miso soup next time. The bento box was really filling and tasty, though a little overpriced at $21 in my opinion. The other person I was with got the Crazy Roll, which was much more of a basic roll than the name would imply, but it was very good nonetheless. All things considered, it was an enjoyable dining experience. Will definitely be back.

Updating my review because I haven't been back here for a year or so and I've noticed some mixed reviews. Our sushi rolls & nigiri were delicious when they finally arrived. We were only one of three tables in the entire restaurant at 4 PM on a Saturday evening and our server forgot our appetizer and disappeared for long periods of time and seemed somewhat out of it. The sushi chefs are worth coming in for - they do a great job. The garlic edamame is super delicious too. In the future we will choose to sit at the sushi counter.

This place is so unique I really do enjoy coming here. It is very quaint and more of an intimate ambience. I do really enjoy that you can watch them cook while sitting in the dining area. I also really enjoy that you can get raw or cooked food options. I really prefer to sit in the patio during the warmer season. It's absolutely beautiful and there's always some kind of music playing outside. The ambience to downtown Saint Charles is very unique.

I love this place! Tyler and Jade made the best drinks. I got the Jameson with sprite and lemon and it tasted amazinggg. We also ordered the infamous playboy roll & caterpillar roll along with the kani nigiri and sake nigiri. This place is no joke. Check out the pics to know it's the real deal!

Ok ok i know i love this place !! But i was a tad bit annoyed when i particularly picked this spot bc of the outdoor seating just go get there and they aren't seating the patio and don't provide any reasoning at all...place wasn't super busy we went for dinner in the middle of the week to avoid a crowd before seeing a movie. The weather was perfect, the sun was setting and we couldn't enjoy the patio. Besides me being a brat about the patio food and service is always good here!! Tried a new sake that was amazing!!

Tasteless Yummy roll- 3 of the 4 of us agreed! Geriatrics could eat this!

We were a 4 top, there were 6 employees and one other 4 top on a sunny Friday October afternoon at 12:15pm. Thought we'd be in/out in 45 minutes-NOPE try 1.5 hours later! The waitress seem to forget our drinks, and or refills due to socializing with the dyed blue hair employee who apparently decides when patrons get to eat! most of the employees spent a VAST majority of their time socializing versus providing service. we ordered from the lunch menu, which should not have been difficult to make. The Yummy roll was tasteless and calamari was over breaded as the breading would fall off while holding a piece. I've never thought about walking out of a restaurant until this event because the lack of urgency and respect in an empty establishment was ridiculous! Do NOT eat here for the numerous reasons mentioned. If leadership were smart they'd start over with new employees who care!

    Mango Martini = amazing!

Decided to check this place out on a Tuesday as my friend told me they have roll specials. However, I wish I would have known how long the wait would have been. That's why they lost a star from me. We were the second table sat at 5 pm when they opened. It no joke took 40 min to get 2 sushi rolls. However, I saw staff continously preparing to go orders. Now, it should be said that all staff were working very hard and not just standing around. From the hostess getting to go orders together and answering phone. To the 2 servers continously running drinks. It appeared there were a lot of regular guests as well. I ordered a martini, but they didn't have all of the ingredients to make. However, server recommended another option which was delicious. Also, it should be said that I'm not one to eat sushi, mostly just came so my boyfriend could try a few rolls. I took the avocado off the one and actually liked it :) He enjoyed both of his rolls, and it was served in this cute little boat. If you come in, be prepared for a wait, but friendly staff and decent prices during the Tuesday special! $6 rolls covering most on the menu!

Omg!! I am so glad I got on the trusty yelp app for some ramen! ;)…read more While out here I met up with one of my friends who was telling me their ramen out here is delicious. I picked the ramen spot based on reviews and the photos of the ramen. Ichiro Ramen stood out from the rest. This spot is about 40 mins outside of St. Louis and it was well worth the drive. It's located in a strip mall next door to a grocery store. The restaurant itself is small, yet does have plenty of seating to dine in. We were greeted and immediately sat down. We were asked if we wanted a table or booth. I ordered the Tonkotsu ramen, my friend ordered the seafood ramen extra extra spicy and mg other friend ordered the chicken fried rice since she's not a big fan of Ramen. The waitress brings out our food one at a time and the food looks and smells amazing. I taste my broth and it is chef's kiss all I did was add some hot chili oil for extra flavor and kick. My friend's seafood ramen looked so good snd you can tell hers was super spicy because how rich and deep the color red her broth was and she added a lot of hot chili oil to hers since she loves spice. My friend's chicken fried rice didn't look aesthetically appetizing, but she's said it was tasty. Ichiro is definitely up there as one of the best ramen spots I've been to, it's pretty close next to my favorite ramen spot is Sacramento, Ca Soku Ramen and they speaks volumes.

The soup dumplings are really good, but you do need to ask for a spoon, which should come with it. The proper way to eat a soup dumpling is to put it on your spoon to bite a hole in the dumpling and empty the soup into the spoon so that it cools and you can eat it and then followed by eating the dumpling. The tuna taco was not for me because it had entirely too much sauce on it. The poke bowl was very good. Service is always very attentive and friendly. This is so close to me that it's a regular stop.
