Beef Shoyu ramen

This is a great place to go that was close to our home when having a taste for hibachi and sushi. They provide quick and friendly service and their prices are very reasonable. I had the chicken and shrimp hibachi with noodles. I loved that the chicken wasn't dry and the noodles was very flavorful. My daughter had the pork gyoza and Beef ramen, which she enjoyed. My husband had Spicy California roll and Aburi Miso roll which he said was very good. Seems like you can't go wrong with do many great options.

This place is amazing. I came for lunch and it wasn't very busy at all. I was seated quickly and was served complimentary miso soup. I loved the service and the sushi was so good! I love the decor her and I can't wait to go back.

Ordered online for my mom as a Mother's Day gift. She loved it, and the presentation was beautiful for her gift. Hidden gem and worth trying.

Wow! This place is like a hidden gem. The food and service were exceptional. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our waiter was nice and helpful. The fried rice had good flavor and was nicely seasoned. The sushi was good and they have cooked meat options to give newbies a try. They have boba drinks and teas. I got the boba toward end of night and it was a little chewier than I'd like but still ok. Prices were reasonable. Highly recommended.

We went for our grandson's birthday dinner, and were immediately greeted by the host. Our party of six had a great sized table. Our waitstaff brought water and took our drink order post haste. Our food arrived as it was prepared and we appreciated the cold sushi being cold, the fried Maki, and tempura rolls being piping hot. My Beef Shoyu Ramen was excellent. The beef was tender, the veggies, tender crisp, and the was broth seasoned perfectly -- I was glad to take some home! Tonkotsu Ramen was my spouse's choice ... he ate the entire bowl. Our grandsons and son in love all throughly enjoyed their meals too. We will go back and you will too.

Truffle roll!

Sorry, this one is a bit long, so skip if you must! While I was running errands in this area, I decided to grab lunch at Kasabi Hazelwood. I've been to the location that just opened in St. Peters and thought it was pretty good, so I figured I check this location out. Apparently, they have a lot more other locations throughout Missouri. Check to see which one is closest to you. I really liked the Kasabi in St. Peters, but this location was a bit disappointing! I ordered their: * 8 pc Hamachi Jalapeno Sashimi * Truffle Roll * Tokyo Roll * The 8 pc Hamachi Jalapeno Sashimi came out in a bamboo tube. Great presentation! The flavors were all there, but it was warm, not cold. * I love truffle, salmon, and scallops, so the truffle roll was a great choice for me. The truffle flavor wasn't overpowering either. The UGLY: What's up with all their rolls having cream cheese? Don't get me wrong! Even though i grew up eating rolls my whole life, I'm not those people who judge places that put cream cheese, crunchy stuff, or bunch of sauces in/on their rolls. It's 2024 and I'm all about that fusion life and different experiences. However, as much as I like cream cheese, it was in 90% of their rolls. Sometimes it's a waste of fish. The location in St. Peters gave us Rolls that were more Omakase style (Chef's choice), so didn't realize how many rolls there were with cream cheese when I read their menu. The Tokyo Roll has potential, but definitely failed all over! First, aside from texture and flavor. I don't ever expect fresh fish in Missouri, but the fish looked like it's been sitting out; rubbery and looked dry and was also warm. Let's talk about inside of the roll now...the crunch is not seasoned nor had any type of sauce. It's a literal feeling of stuffing bunch of unseasoned all-purpose flour in your mouth, for no reason. Notes and Recs: Not the first place I'll recommend for Sushi or Sashimi. - California Roll, Shrimp Tempura Roll, and Cucumber Rolls are NOT SUSHI. So if that's all you're gonna eat, this is exactly the place for you! If you do not like rolls either, they have Ramen, Hibachi and veggies, and other items. * For those who get confused with what Hibachi is.....there is no Teppanyaki! If you want the Teppanyaki show with the fire, knives flying, choo choo train, and shrimp thrown at your face, I recommend checking out the Kasabi in St. Peters, Shogun Steakhouse, or Kobe Steakhouse, etc. * This location has Convenient Parking! * Restaurant is the "green" building towards the back of the plaza, for those who weren't able to find the sign.

I am so sad of just learning of this place. My partner researched ramen nearby for us to go to after work (we both work in North County and I live not too far). Kasabi is tucked off the beaten path you could say. I would've never guessed this gem was off Howdershell. When you walk in, there is LoFi jazz playing, it's quiet, and clean! Cleanliness is important. The restaurant itself is beautifully remodeled providing an authentic feel. The staff were great and friendly. The menu - as a proud blerd - had a few One Piece/anime references which was awesome. Our food was served fresh and presentation was excellent. I ordered the Beef Shoyu Ramen and spring rolls. I was also offered a hot chili sauce...it was hot! But everything was great! In speaking with our server, Kasabi has been open going on a year in February. I am so glad to have found a delicious ramen shop closer to home and will definitely visit frequently!

Ramen

My partner and I went here on a whim for a dinner. She heard about it, however haven't went. I just googled it bc I wanted ramen and something near my job. Can't lie, I missed the turn because it kinda is tucked away in a corner of a plaza. But seeing that green painted door that I saw from the pictures, it was noticeable then. We went in and they were playing some soothing jazz music and the ambience was pretty chill. Looks like there was a stage for performance, however I could be wrong. They have nice menus. I was impressed with the anime references on some of the food items. We ordered ramen and I got an eel sashimi. Presentation was nice for the sashimi as it was served on a saucer wig ice with leafy garnish and cucumbers and it tasted good. The ramen was enjoyed by both of us. I'll be coming back, and it's good to know of another spot near my job I can go on lunch break to.

Cardinal Roll, Fried Rice
Jason K.

Genuinely beautiful I will say. So much so that I go to Kasabi almost bi-weekly now. Laugh Tale and Cardinal Rolls are near equally beautiful (if you don't care for deep-fried sushi I'd recommend the Blues Roll), and it's just an amazing experience. Beautiful quantity, amazing service, amazing folks too. It's come to a point where I genuinely don't know what I'd do without this place, it's so reliable. Haven't even mentioned the prices. Ironically the best sushi in my opinion is much cheaper than some of the more expensive options. But a part of the reason it's so reliable is the price. A Laugh Tale and Fried Rice is so close to the price of a Box Combo from Canes, the difference is irrelevant. Would MUCH rather have this. The first time I tried Kasabi I nearly cried. There aren't many restaurants I could say that about. Beautiful.

Hibachi 2 Meat Special Combination (Steak and Chicken)

We've been to Kasabi a few times so I will post all the pics of the times we've been in this review. It's seriously one of the BEST hidden jewels in Hazelwood. It's in a strip mall so sort of easy to miss. The service is always great each time we've been. It's still fairly new so not marred by the patrons yet (thank goodness). They also have very relaxing music playing while you dine and fishes on the TV screen. It has spa vibes in this regard. We have enjoyed every roll and on our last visit, we switched it up and had hibachi with two meats (chicken and steak) and nooodles. It was slightly too salty on one of the rolls and in the noodles like someone sprinkled it on top or something. Otherwise, pretty good per usual! We will keep coming back and love our little hidden gem!

This place is hidden but such a gem! It has affordable sushi + more this is my go to , I never had a problem with them the service is great they are so sweet up in there.

We have been here on several occasions and the food has been AMAZING every single time!! The restaurant is super clean and the staff is very friendly. Please warned they are a small business, so if you are in a big hurry, maybe order it for pick up. I put this place up next to any sushi restaurant in the St. Louis area.

Mango milk boba tea
Darla E.

There's a new Japanese restaurant in Hazelwood! Yay! I love the soft music and decor inside. It's very open and yet very private at the same time. You seat yourself and menus are brought to your table. We started off with boba milk teas and appetizers. We ordered crab rangoon, edamame, gyoza and veggie tempura. All of it was excellent, surprisingly the crab rangoon was perfection, just the right amount of crispy and creamy. My ocean roll was filling and I didn't even need to dunk it in soy sauce. It held its own with no support system. I went with the ocean roll and tonkatsu ramen because I never get enough ramen in my life. I was satisfied with the ramen, I wish they had a spicy option with kimchi. Maybe in the future? Either way it was the perfect amount of pork belly and soup. I wasn't as happy with the egg because it was hard boiled, I prefer the soft ramen egg so I have to dock them for that. Overall the service was good and the menu options were plentiful without being overwhelming. My friends got fried rice and salmon hibachi and they were happy with their selections. I can't wait to come back to try more of the menu for myself. Oh and they get pretty busy for the dinner rush so plan accordingly.

Ninja does have gluten-free soy sauce, but you'll likely not want much soy sauce because you won't want it hiding the great flavors of Ninja's sushi. Tonight we enjoyed a variety of rolls, most chef's choice: - Kimi roll - Philly roll - Sumo roll - Salmon avocado - Dynamite (no crunch) - two... not one, but two Golden Dragon rolls... with curved slices of mango on top and a fantastic mango sauce Our waitress was intent to find a gluten free sauce for us and provided a combo sauce - half pink / half darker color (unsure the actual flavor but it was good). Before tonight, we have known that Ninja has the cook-at-your-table hibachi grill but we've only ever enjoyed their sushi. Tonight... I ventured to their hot food. I didn't have much to eat earlier in the day, so I ordered a side of shrimp fried rice and I'm very glad I did... great flavors egg and onions, and fantastic rice unto itself. Thank you, Nan

The clear soup was very good. The salad with ginger dressing was excellent. The chicken lomein was great too. The price was very good. There is plenty of parking in this strip mall. I love the atmosphere. I would love to come back for dinner.

I've had the Bonzai roll before and even though it's a little difficult to eat, it's worth it, especially if you're watching your carbs since this is a riceless roll. The St. Charles mayor roll was packed with flavor and was a very generous number of pieces. I tried the bang bang shrimp this time and they were very large shrimp with a kind of spicy mayo and chili sauce on top, but I have to say it was more sweet and not spicy at all. I would've liked it to have some spicy heat, but it was lacking that. They were packed tonight and had people waiting for tables, but I was able to snag a table for two just a few minutes after I walked in. There are only 12 tables in the entire restaurant.

When we arrived, we were greeted by a friendly host who asked us to let them know once our entire party had arrived. About 15 minutes later, all nine of us were there, and we were promptly escorted to our table in the back of the restaurant. Our server greeted us right away, took our drink and appetizer orders, and returned within about five minutes with our drinks before taking our dinner orders. She asked several times whether anyone had food allergies or special dietary needs, which I really appreciated because it showed she wanted to make sure everything was prepared correctly. Our miso soup, salads, and appetizers all arrived within a few minutes of each other, and the timing throughout the meal was excellent. As soon as our dishes were cleared, our hibachi chef came to the table. He was funny, engaging, and put on a great show while preparing our meal. This was our grandson's first hibachi experience, and he was a little nervous when the chef created the giant fireballs, but once the cooking began, he really enjoyed watching the performance. Before cooking, the chef reviewed everyone's order and once again confirmed whether there were any food allergies, which was another nice touch. Another fun feature is the toppings bar where you can customize your sauces and garnishes. I love adding sesame seeds for extra crunch, along with chili oil, fresh cilantro, and spring onions.
