Once the order was placed they were in contact with me, advised me of next steps, and shipped my bike out very quickly. When it arrived, it was packaged exceptionally well and completely flawless, and it was assembled about as far as it could be for shipping. About 30 minutes later I was riding. What really made them standout was the after-sale service. I'll admit I took a few tries to get my saddle height correct, partially due to the seat post slipping. In the process of readjusting, I ended up stripping the seat post wedge bolt. I emailed them back, and both Peter and Andrew responded, and had a replacement part as well as carbon paste dispatched to me almost immediately. This is despite them knowing that I'm out in CA and pretty much guaranteed not to have my bike serviced there. That level of customer support is almost unheard of now and a true testament to how devoted they are to the customer experience. Whether you are local to them or online, I can't recommend Contender Bicycles enough, and I can confidently say I will be buying all my bikes and cycling gear from them from now on.

I heard about this store and how they provide rentals for a reasonable price. The process is easy: check in at the kiosk to make res; meet with one of the reps in the back (fitting/sizing): and then, pay at the front counter. Staffs are super helpful and nice. Instead of enjoying the quiet serenity of skiing through powder, the sound of a squeaking old rusty hinge was heard the whole day. The snowboard was set so badly that it caused foot cramping all day. When shown the video with the sound and told how vastly different the experience had been, the employees did not know what could have caused it and were not willing to do anything about it. They made a fresh cut on the bottom to help with water uptake and loaded the tree into the car for us. Years ago we also bought a stand from them; instead of the usual pins, it has a single post in the middle of the well. Since their trees have holes drilled in the bottom, you just place the tree onto the post and you're done! It's so much easier than trying to twist the pins to hold the tree in place. Highly recommend the stand. They're also offering a special coupon for $20 off at Root'd across the street with a tree purchase!

Service meets expertise!…read more I'm a mountain biker that just got into road biking - I walked in here with about 2 dozen questions and in need of lots of help (and honestly lots of hand holding!); Cottonwood Cyclery absolutely exceeded my expectations. The lady that helped me fully dedicated over 20 minutes to walking around the shop helping me make a list of all the equipment, clothing, tools, and supplies I'll need for my newly purchased road bike. She also spoke with me at length about cleaning and riding techniques, as well as tips and tricks from her own cycling experience. She was also able to recommend a third party to properly fit my bike to me, which she uses herself. I didn't look around at the new bikes too much, but I did notice they had a selection of mountain bikes, e-bikes, and road bikes. They've got tools, bags, shoes, cleaners and lubricants, CO2 tire inflators, tubes, and everything else you'd ever need. They were out of a few clothing items due to shortages from high demand during COVID, but they were still able to provide recommendations about what to look for. That undivided attention was so valuable and helpful - I couldn't have asked for anything more than the experience I had here. This isn't the closest bike shop to me, but it is 100% worth the drive. AND I'd like to mention they are open an hour later than most other bike shops, which is so appreciated and convenient when I rushing to get some shopping done after my work day.
