Who would've known you down a beer while waiting for your wash to be done? Yes, it can be done at Washabeeria! It is located in a strip center off of Garth Rd. It is next to its sister business Pipeline Grill, from which you can order food from as well. There are large washing machines at the entrance and these bad boys look like they can wash 3 weeks worth of clothes in one wash. These are $8.00 to use. The smaller units took a $1.50 to get going and this is what we chose. Do bring your own detergent and dryer sheets. If you don't you can purchase here as well. Now on to the food and beverage, There is a counter at the front with a soda fountain and beer cooler. Most of your domestics and some imports can be purchased. I went with Dos XX and Tecate. It was $7.58 with the tax for both beers not too bad. As far as food is concerned go next door and place your order to go and just let them know you are next door and they will bring it to you. I ordered the small fried pickles and the trashcan chips which are actually nachos. Upon receiving the orders I found 2 things that were a bit annoying. The ranch dressing was packed in the same box as the hot out of the fryer pickles. This needs to be separated and kept cold. Secondly the trashcan chops were deconstructed? These are not served this way in the restaurant so why would you pack it like this to go especially if we are just next door? The one time I decide to come try a new laundry mat I'm greeted with attitude. My family & I came in a little bit before closing (mind you my family and I had just come in here and asked the prices) she never mentioned anything about it closing soon and again it's our first time here. While we are looking for a washer she felt the need to walk up to us and let us know how lucky we were that they were allowing us to wash today. (It was 6:40...they close at 7) The whole time we're trynna get our laundry done the same lady is talking mess. My daughter (she's 1) ran near her and was going past her. She went out of her way to pick up my daughter. Anybody and everybody knows not to touch other people's kids. Especially if you just got done disrespecting the family of that child. I nicely grab my daughter out her arms and said thank you for grabbing her. As I'm walking away she felt the need to holler "wasn't like I was gonna hurt her" I turned around and said "I understand but I don't know you" and proceeded to walk. She started yelling "maybe you should watch your kid" and some other stuff. Mind you I wasn't paying to much attention to what she was saying because my grandmother was whispering to just get our laundry done n go. I looked up and she was walking towards me still yelling. I looked at her and said "ma'am please shut up and walk away" she steady stayed talking mess. She then threatened to kick us out for telling her to shut up. I then looked at my grandmother and asked her to hold my child. She then proceeded to walk away while yelling "I'm getting my manager and I'm gonna personally throw your clothes out". She comes back with her manager and first thing the manger ask me was "did you threaten her" as I'm trying to explain to her everything I did here the worker continued to interrupt me and try to correct the through with a lie to make her look I guess "more professional" it took my grandmother to intervene to get the manager to finally ask her employee to go away while we talked. This place is so unprofessional. At least there workers. Mind you the lady looks like a crack head. Who wants to go out and have to deal with all this while trying to do laundry with family. She stayed giving dirty looks & mumbling shit while walking by me the whole time I finished my laundry up. The base price for the regular Washer is $3. Base price for the regular Dryers: $1.50. The big Dryers are $3. The machines doesn't explain the rate of the cost: eg: $$ per 5 min, etc. I spoke with the attendant and it's actually an automated way of keeping track of your cost. It pulls $15 from your card to see how many times you'll be washing/drying. EG: it maxed out the time for my Wash: $15 for cold wash for about 32-36 min. When in fact I only spent $3. Dryer: it showed $11 for 35-38 min on permanent press on a regular Dryer. When in fact out of the $11 left over, it spent $1.50. Total cost about $5.50 for laundry!! About two weeks ago I had to go out of town in an emergency and before I had to go and I had no choice but drop off my clothes. I am so disappointed in the results of my clothing. I returned from out of town and I had not looked in to the clothing until today that I had to return to work. Well most of the shirts, who are not cheap what's so ever, had burnt marks on them. My work shirts average around $35-$45 each and I have taken a loss of $200 because I had to throw away the clothing but I was able to take some pictures. I'll be honest, I came here purely for the novelty and because I need clean socks. Just as an observation, it seems to be connected to Pipeline Bar and Grill. 3-load washers are $3, 4-load $4, etc. Dryers are $1.75 to start and they give you 44 mins. So yeah, they are a bit pricey. On the plus side, their washers and dryers both have credit card readers. The machines are clean enough, the floors were not at the time, but I got there at 8pm which is apparently right after the rush. I had no real contact with the staff nor did I sample the beer, but there was nothing other than the price to keep me from coming back. Generally a 3-star rating kinda place, but extra star for a kinda cool concept. read more

While it's fun to drink a beer while washing your clothes, the novelty wears off real fast when you realize that half the machines are broken, the card readers barely work and will double charge your card, and the machines are DIRTY. When I got my clothes out of the dryer they smelled horrible, despite putting in several dryer sheets and using extra soap in the washer. I talked to a friend whose family owns a laundromat and she said that bad smell is caused by the owner never cleaning the machines. I will never be coming back here, unless of course I want all my clothes to smell like gym socks, then I might give it another try. read more

Started off as the best place to do laundry . You could get food and drink from the Pipeline Restaurant next door, or even just drinks including alcohol as you do laundry. Now there's easily half of the washers and dryers with tape on them stating out of order. What used to be easily sometimes a half hour wait and maybe a hour to hour and a half to do laundry has turned into being here even longer. Best thing I seen was someone had spilled something on the floor. I had my son bring it to Emily and Marvin's attention . They didn't hesitate on the matter and got it immediately cleaned up , mopped and wet floor sign in place. Get the machines fixed they are your businesses money makers . It's like a construction hand with worn out boots or gloves. They not only make you money but they help protect you so you can continue making money. These washers and dryers make the revenue for the washabeeria, get them fixed or I see washabeeria losing more then money. I won't be back until the machines are fixed, and I suggest others do the same. Yall charge us a premium price we deserve a premium service!!!!! read more

AWFUL! My home washer went out so I went to wash a small load of clothes. It cost $3 to wash a small load of clothes, then, the soap never dispensed. I asked the attendant to help me find out why not. She poured water to the machine but no soap dispensed. I told her I would wait to finish the cycle to see if the clothes came out ok and had a fair, clean smell. It did not. I went back to the front where the "manager" and the young attendant were eating. I explained my issue but the manager just told me that I was out of luck. I asked for the owner or corporate phone number but she told me that she had it but could not give it out. I told her it was public information but she just won't give it and continue eating, leaking her fingers and giving me the bad, cold shoulder attitude. I will try to find the owners information and yes, a small court claim to get my $3 back is worth it. They will have to pay court cost too. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! customers pay way too much money to be treated like CRAP by washabeeria employees. was a regular here all summer starting in june when i moved to baytown sometimes even coming twice a week. the washabeeria IS NOT CHEAP but i always believe you get what you pay for. and thats not always true. i never had any issues until 3 weeks ago and it was behind: SODA, of all cheap a$$ things! i come with my son so i need to have a routine to keep him busy. so we come in with all our stuff. he knows not to leave my side and once i get my business done then we will go handle his business (ordering next door at pipeline grill). but before we go next door i like to take my washing powder and supplies back to the car then we wash our hands. by the time i make it to pipeline i have less than 30 mins on my washer. when food arrives my wash time is almost over depending on how busy they are next door. this sunday they were busy next door and at the washabeeria and my son ended up needed 2 refills while eating his pizza that i ordered from pipeline. both times i go to the "paying station" at the washabeeria for a refill. the first time i didnt have any problems the heavy set white lady refilled my cup and i was on my way. the second time she had her back turned (because she was eating at the station) and the other lady that she had been training starts refilling my cup when the heavy set lady turns around and starts wagging her finger at me while trying to hurry up and chew her food. she swallows and then tells me in a rude voice that i can only have one refill. im like "ok", so i explain to her that ive been there all summer and have never heard this one refill rule and inform her that shes been giving me refills all summer. but im like ok whatever, who cares its cheap a$$ soda so as im walking away and the training lady who refilled the cup says "you got something floating in your cup". i look at the cup and sure as shit i have a piece of plastic floating in the cup but im not worried about it (its from the top) but i do ask for the soda rule in writing. her response is "we had it in writing but the paper got ruined last night and we had to throw it away" and this is when i got mad. bc now i feel with that excuse your making shit up. **why serve a drink with something floating in it?** so i asked for a manager and the heavy set white lady starts getting animated (shes now pacing and throwing her hands in the air) and shes yelling at me that im now "going to get jojo in trouble". now im really getting mad because the people who decided to ignore our conversation are looking at us like wtf. so i walk off and the other lady goes to get the manager with the long hair. the manager comes out and is able to smooth things over and i feel better. she explained that the employee should have known with the cup i had it does have unlimited refills bc it came from pipeline not the washabeeria and that cups purchased at washabeeria its only one refill. and that if i have any issues i can always come back to pipeline for refills. so im happy. but did i feel retarded for having to stand there and have to complain about a refill for a KIDS SODA: yes. especially when it probably would cost the company $.10 to give me a refill and like i pointed out i could see if i was abusing the system. NOW WE FAST FORWARD A WEEK EXACTLY..... same heavy set white lady lady sees me come into the washabeeria with my son & stuff. we go through our same routine and now our clothes are in the dryer almost done when my little one says he needs a refill. so before i send him to the counter bc he wants to do it i honestly think where should i go to get this refill. i decided on the paying station in the washabeeria bc our clothes are almost done and we'll be leaving. so my son gets his refill and he comes back and says "that lady said i can only have one refill". ONCE AGAIN IM MAD BUT IM CALM. as soon as i get about 5 feet from the station and she looks up and sees me she yells "O' JESUS!!! and the MANAGER IS NEXT DOOR" yep thats right call him!!! i simply turn around and walk next door to pipeline. same manager from the previous week. she and i have another conversation about the same unprofessional employee. i apologize once again for being there to complain and that im not some petty person who likes to complain all the time but i cant deal with unprofessionalism. i told the manager it was not that employees place to tell a child you only get one refill. it that was a problem she should have told him "hey your mommy needs to come with you for a refill" and she could have told me BUT because i know she knows he is my child that she did it on purpose. and thats fine, washabeeria just will not get anymore of my money! if i want to be treated like im in the hood then i would rather wash my clothes in the hood where i would expect people with "hood rat" attitudes to work. read more

I cannot stand this place. It's overpriced, the staff is incredibly rude and unprofessional. Even asking a question is like pulling teeth. The parking is bad and people are constantly parking in handicapped spots because they are too lazy to walk. It doesn't have enough seating for the amount of people that visit this place either. My friend and I decided to meet at the Pipeline Grill for dinner because she said that they have great food. She needed to do her laundry next door at Washabeeria since her dryer had suddenly stopped working. So, when she entered the washateria at right around 8:00pm, one of the Hispanic girls working there began to yell "ma'am! ma'am! ma'am!" to my friend from across the room, very loudly, in front of all the other customers. My friend did not respond, as most people wouldn't to someone who was rudely yelling at them. Then, she approached my friend and said you don't have enough time to do your laundry, to which my friend replied, "2 hours isn't long enough to wash and dry 2 loads of laundry?" The rude attendant said "No." So my friend asked, "Don't you close at 10:00pm?", and the rude attendant said "yeah." So my friend said, "well what if I just wash them only?" Then another young hispanic girl with black glasses came up and was saying the same thing to my friend about not having enough time to do her laundry. So she put her 2 loads of clothes in 2 washers, went next door to meet up for dinner and was very upset that she had been treated so unprofessionally. Fifteen minutes later, she went next door to put her 2 loads in 2 dryers and came back to finish dinner. Upon returning to check on her clothes, about 30 minutes later, she noticed that one of the dryers had stopped in the middle of the cycle and read "OUT OF ORDER" on the digital reader. So we put the wet clothes into the other dryer, which ended up making the clothes take longer to dry. Meanwhile, the attendants began turning lights out on us and telling everyone it's time to go before 10:00pm. "Then I stated to one of the attendants," We will leave when our clothes are dry since your dryer malfunctioned in the middle of the cycle." The attendant then threatened to have us removed since they have camera surveillance. I said well don't worry, I plan to leave a bad review and hopefully your business will shut down for treating people like dirt (who are good paying customers) as we spent over $20 for 2 loads of laundry with "NO REFUNDS signs" posted all over the place. Then the attendant said well I'm gonna get the manager and I said, "Great! Please do!" So the manager named Joshua from the Pipeline Grill walked up and listened to our side of the story and was very apologetic for the way we were treated. He explained that he wasn't the actual manager of Washabeeria but helped out sometimes when the manager couldn't be there. 5 stars for Pipeline Grill and 0 for Washabeeria. The ONLY reason I gave them 1 star was because I'm nice. read more
