So today I went to this location to get my car washed. I have been to this location before and was disappointed, but I thought I would give it another try. I have a relatively new car so I like it to look pretty clean. When I pulled in, I rolled down my window and asked the young man who was working if I could get the full interior car wash. He looked at me and said why? I never realized that I needed to argue why I would want to pay more for something. At any rate, I just close my window, turned around, and left. Just drove my daughter-in-law's SUV 1800 miles to their new home. Entire windshield coated with vile proteinaceous goo from the hundreds of bugs who foolishly crossed my path. 15 minutes and $45 later, this thing is clean enough to do surgery in. I made an appointment online and came by on a Friday afternoon -- the staff were SO kind and friendly, answered questions, and were very transparent. Maybe I lucked out, but the final price AND the time of completion were both lower than initially quoted, which was an amazing surprise. Leaves ur car greasy and don't even wipe down everything they put on your car all the way. Smear marks on trunk, handprints on windows and bad attitude from management. Made an appointment at 2 and supposedly someone made an appt at 1. But takes "2 hrs to clean or we'd be a multi billion dollar company" said the manager (sounded rehearsed). So why are there appointments available when we have to spend 3 hours to get a car cleaned. So much for spending $180 on detailing a car and all you get is a discount card to come back. Why would we come back this car is still clearly not wiped down. I understand your job is hard and you clearly do not want to be there but why is there 8 people working on 1 tiny honda civic and still cant manage to detail the car properly my little brother could do a better job I guess I'll be hiring him for the summer. read more

First and last time I go to this place. First, it says hand wash. When 90% of the wash is from a machine, I don't think you can in good faith make that claim. The brushes they use all go back into the same dirty water. Second, I came in with dog paw marks on my seats and left with the same paws. I had to ask them to specially wipe my seats again. For the premium price of $45, I expect at least all the seats to be wiped down. Third, I asked if they had rain service. In the event it rains the next day, they won't rewash your car. The manager tried to sell me their annual membership. Not the biggest strike but definitely shows what kind of business they run. Finally, the lobby is run down to say the least. There is water leaking everywhere. It's a lawsuit waiting to happen from a slip and fall. Will not return. Would not recommend. read more

We'll start with the good... They have a cool logo and their owner seems nice. Ok, now to the bad. Several different times, I have been charged different amounts for my standard SUV. Very inconsistent and it leaves a feeling that they are trying to nickel and dime you for more if you don't push back. This last time, again I was charged the highest amount for the "large SUV". I went inside to inquire what constitutes the price for large SUV vs Standard (thinking maybe large is for trucks and SUVs with a 3rd row). The woman at the front desk didn't have a clear answer and instead told me "it's negotiable." Not what I would want to hear as a customer and again brings that feeling of being charged to the max until putting your foot down. This same trip, I had a busy day and called ahead to see how busy they were. I was told not very busy and to come on by. I got there 6-7 mins later and fast forward 2 hours and 10 minutes until my car was finally done. Just for a standard inside/outside wash ("super wash" I think it was called). No detailing. I left exhausted and ready to get out of there without fully inspecting the car for quality. I got home and noticed hair and dirt all over the center console, cup holders, and everywhere in between (see pictures). How on Earth in 2 hours and 10 minutes could they miss this?! I drove back to the shop (yes, it was after closing hours but staff was all still there) and showed them this. I was very polite and told them I understood things happen but I would like it cleaned since I paid for it. One employee said it was because 4 people didn't show up for work. Ok... That sucks but is not a reason to sacrifice quality. Another employee was kind enough to take my vehicle and vacuum it. While he was vacuuming, another employee came up to me and told me "I was f**king lucky he was helping me." What kind of customer service is that!?!? How am I lucky that someone is doing the job they were paid to do?! On their second chance!? Needless to say, I was ready to get out of there and wash my hands with the experience and will not be back. The final nail in the coffin after numerous less than stellar experiences. read more

Went today to try Washaroo for the first and probably last time. Made an appointment and left a note in the appointment that said I'd just got back from the beach and wanted to get the sand out the car and the salt out from under. When I got there I found they charged at the beginning- okay fine. It included tip (which you had the option to opt out of) I just went with it cause I had no cash. We discussed the note of needing to get sand / dirt out. He said it wouldn't be a problem. Waited for a couple cars in front of me - no big on that I was out in an hours time or less. That said I made a mistake was not checking the work before I left. Every wheel well was still covered in a white sandy residue that they obviously made no attempt to clean. There's still several bug gut splatters across the front as well as a bug body thats still fully lodged in a crevice. Seriously disappointed and won't be recommending. And if you do - check the work. *** edit update below *** Going from 1 to 4 stars based on yesterday's and today's experience. Messaged by the company today to come by to redo the wash which I took them up on. The main manager guy running today was much friendlier than yesterday's. On top of that it's nice to see someone who's 'managing' also helping his people out. Dude was getting his hands dirty just like everyone else whereas yesterday's guy chilled inside when he wasn't taking payments from new shows. The manager guy who greeted me was aware of the situation and confirmed what the issues were. No additional payment. I took notice today as I went through the process of the wash and detail - I think the 'tunnel' of the wash area makes it hard to see some bug splatters because it's shaded and dark. So if you have a darker color car it might be harder to see. After the detail the wheel wells look great. Everything inside touched up even better than before. There was still some bug splatters on the front but the main guy I'd talked to came over and pointed them out and they helped quickly get them off which I appreciated. The people here work hard. So props for that. I would still say that if you are using this service you should still take it upon yourself to check it out before leaving to make sure that what you were aiming for was done. This was a pretty big disappointment. :( And based on the other reviews, it looks like many people have experienced the same issues I did. I made an appointment online for the $30 package, and when I pulled up I was told that it would actually be $40 because my car is a 3 row. Sure, nbd, that's fine. But then I was told that I needed (not asked if I wanted--big thing here) my headlights cleaned, which would be an additional $50. As I came here prepared to spend $30, I declined. When I pulled up to the second guy (who was very nice btw), I was told that I again "needed" a new windshield which would be an additional $345. Again, I wasn't prepared for that kind of service nor was I looking to spend that much today, so I declined and finally went inside. I was called outside to get my finished car not even 10 minutes later, which in itself was a red flag. The exterior looked fine, but it doesn't even look like the inside was touched. Cup holders, dash, parts of the seats look filthy. Super disappointed that I spent $40 for a job that could've been done at a quick drive thru car wash instead, which probably would've been better because then I could've vacuumed/cleaned the interior on my own and done a much better job. I found this place to be quite unprofessional. Purchased the voucher then got there and was charged an additional $30 for AmorAll (which is weird that a package of this amount wouldn't include that - who doesn't get this service when having their car detailed?). The guy had already written the "codes" on my window for what was being done. Then I added the ArmorAll. I asked him if it needed to be updated he said, no this means it will be done. Thankfully, I asked the guys at the end and they said (1) it just means wipe down and (2) the other code was a spray way (but the package/Groupon specifically said "Hand Nano Wax"). The guy at the beginning came over and said it didn't include a hand wax - when I tried to show him (like I showed the other guys) he just said, "Never mind, we will just do it" - like he was doing me a favor. This is all after I sat at the detail area and watched him argue (loudly) back and forth haggling with another customer. It was absurd. The wash was good but it is unlikely that I will be back. read more

I took my car there to get it washed and paid for the super wash, they didn't wipe down the inside of the car (doors) or seats, then I asked then to clean it correctly on the outside where there was dried tire shine and the owner came out from no where and went off say that was old from before where clearly it just need to be wipe down with some degreaser or something. I bought a yearly pass before they were done with my car wash, but the first car wash did not go well. I've tried emailing them to let them know I will not be going back and have tried calling. I left a review on Google and they responded to say they have not received any emails. I finally got on the phone with an owner and told him to double check his email because I'm emailing the email he gave me and he found all my emails in the spam folder. I've been trying to call back to get a refund because I will not be going back and I was told the owner would call me back. Didn't receive a call. I called and emailed again and nothing. As clean as can be! The Washaroo has washed my car twice now and they are the only ones I trust to hand wash it! Takes 20-30mins. Great customer service and not bad for $20. I went with them because I wanted to avoid getting scratches on my car from the automatic washes. My favorite part is that they will double spot check with you before you get back in your car and drive off. This leaves you satisfied with their cleaning job! If you see a spot that they forgot to get, no problem! They will clean it right then and there. One time, there was extra mud on my driver side carpet that Washaroo was happy to scrub off for me with no extra charge! They will go out of their way to make you feel satisfied with their hand wash service. PLUS! If it rains within 2 days of getting your car washed, you can come back with your receipt and get another wash for free. Sounds great to me! read more

My sister alerted me to their free carwash times, so I hopped over to take advantage barely squeezing it in on time. They were quick, efficient and my car looked really nice after. Run from this place. They advertise $120 for full detail wash. Took my daughter there to get her car fixed up. They quoted me $170. Just said no worries I will find another place. The manager then offers $150. Fine. I wait a total of 3....THREE..hours. Finally get the car and there are several issues. One, there is bird poop. Two every crevice still has dust and dirt.. Carpets still have dirt and hair. The rims are a mess. I wiped them. It was grime that comes off. He claims that Monday they are short staffed and just busy. The girl working on the car, when confronted by another worker about the bird poop just waves her rag and says it's fine...it's done. Manager says bring it back and he will do it again. Great. This is 45 minutes from my house. So now we have to waste more time in what should have been done before. Can't stand when managers make a ton of excuses for half a** jobs. Have some integrity. No doubt he will comment here with more excuses as he does on every negative review. And if this gets fixed I'll consider removing this posting. But it is unlikely. This place is no good. read more

Really frightening experience with an unhinged worker here. Talked to mgmt about it and mgmt made excuses for this guys bizarre and scary behavior. I will NEVER come back and will make sure none of my friends do. I swear I thought this guy was going to damage my car or something. Never been in such an unsafe situation and paid $149.00 to have my car detailed. Stay away from this place. Washaroo on 1st was great! They're dog friendly and even offer free beer. It did take a little longer than I was initially told, but the end result was worth it. My only complaint was that I don't think my rearview mirror got wiped down and there was still a littttttle bit of dirt stuck in the cupholders up front. Regardless, I still plan on coming back! My gray interior seats look brand new despite all the puppy accidents that occurred in my vehicle. read more

I gotta say, I'm not impressed. Came in after a road trip so I know the car was dirty on the outside. The bug situation was strong. First, the inside: I pre-cleaned the inside because I'm a little anal-retentive about it. I wasn't expecting much but clean windows. I did not get that, there are dried water spots and fingerprints on my windows. They've also left one of their bottles in my backseat so now I have to return it. Second, the outside: The dirt is gone. There are still bugs on the backs of my mirrors and the front of my car. I specifically asked about paying extra for armor all on the outside areas of my car and was told they'd do that when they did the tires for free. They didn't do it. Third, the service: Everyone there is super nice. They asked me about my car at the end but even though I saw the bugs, I had to leave and pick up my son. This was my first time getting my car washed at Washaroo. First off, I'll start by saying they are overpriced. I originally wanted a starter wash for $20. Exterior wash and interior vacuum. The guy told me I'd have to upgrade to the $30 wash if I wanted them to wipe down my dash ... so I did. After they gave me my keys back, my dash hadn't even been touched. I went back in the lobby to tell the lady and she said to me "go outside and tell one of the guys" (she was LESS than helpful). When I told the guy outside, he came and wiped down my dash with a rag and said jokingly "I guess my guys are getting tired." But after getting home, I can still see SO much dust behind the steering wheel and around the stereo. I will not be returning. read more

They decided to sacrifice quality for quickness and at even a more expensive price for the customer. $40 for a car wash and vacuum is unacceptable. They didn't even clean the wheels properly there's still patches of dirt. The interior was not cleaned, something that is included in the $40 price point which is a wipe down of the seats, dash and door panels etc but it's a shame that not even the cup holders were wiped down. For a sub par quality of service I could've done it myself for $30 bucks cheaper at a self service car wash but I took it here for quality and was highly disappointed. read more

I brought my new gt500 into this car wash and although I was asking for help driving through the dryer archway I kept getting a hand signal to drive through. Had no idea how narrow it was and was following the direction of the staff signaling me through. I ended up denting/scratching the side of my car. The manager Brandon showed no sympathy aside giving me a free wash and then just walked away, and more than that the car wash staff member who offered me no help guiding through the archway helped the next car after me all the way through. Wow, I guess I was't deserving! On top of that, the women cleaning the cars in front laughed when they saw Brandon come out to tell me I had damaged my car. Bottom line, if you bring your car here it WILL get damaged. Maybe not the first time, but it will happen. This is always THE BEST car wash experience every time I go, and I've been to plenty of other places in Austin and other cities I've lived. Waiting room is nice atmosphere, and free beer! The front desk guy is always super friendly and helpful and loves to chat. Today, in particular, I brought my car in for the usual, but had like six stickers I wanted removed from the inside of my windshield. I asked if he could do it, since I knew my old car wash place in Houston did it a la carte for $3-4/sticker. He said yes and they didn't even charge me for it! Those things had been on there for over a year I'm sure it wasn't easy.
