Recently moved to Austin & was on the east side of town when I yelped "hand car washes". I was in desperate need to have my car cleaned & decided to try them out. I called to make sure they were open and the owner answered on the second ring, was able to quickly answer all of my questions in a professional & friendly manner. Things to note: waiting area for customers is outside underneath a tent. If you must use the restroom there are a couple of port a potty's and wash stations waiting for you on the premises. Evidently, when the weather is suitable they'll fire up the Texas sized bbq pit and customers get complimentary grub. If you want a good basic wash and cleaning, conveniently in the area, and aren't worried about the elements I'd say this car wash is for you. read more

When we've needed a deep detail, they have made the car feel dealership new. They even gave me a ride to my house, since it was going to be 3 hours of work and I didn't want to wait at the car wash. When another car wash place out of town used some substance to clean our steering wheel that made our hands itch, we took it to Nice-N-Clean and they scrubbed that awful chemical out of the stitching, making the car drivable again. Great place to get your car washed near my apartment on the east side. You can get a sedan wash and vacuumed for $30 (note: vacuuming the trunk is an additional $5). Only thing is they are usually extremely busy, so make sure to bring a book or find a way to keep yourself occupied. I've been here twice and it usually takes about 1-1.5 hours to get my car back but it's always in fantastic condition. We brought in the Stinger GT for its first detail. Pretty pricey about $180-200 range depending if you want the wax exterior or not. We went Saturday morning so it wasn't busy, walked to a coffee shop and taco truck. Took them about 1hr and 30min, came back you can see water streaks coming down. They did not wash or clean our mats or the back trunk because it had a coffee machine... very friendly and hardworking for sure, but not worth the money. Find another business. read more

I had my car detailed here. It took 3 hours and cost nearly $300. When I returned to pick up my car, I had to spend 20 minutes pointing out obvious drips and marks on the outside of the car that were missed. Marks that can be easily removed with my fingernails remain. The cleaning on the inside was really lackluster. There is visible dust remaining on the steering wheel and dashboard. The owner/manager was not present when I returned so I had no choice but to pay the full amount so I could leave with my car. I would not recommend and I will not be returning. I came in to get my friends car vacuumed out before her wedding. They opened at 9, so I got there around 8:45 so I could be first in line. They kindly said they could just go ahead and take me. I was super grateful and asked how long it would take. The guy said 30 minutes. It ended up being 40, but they knew they were over the quoted time and asked the guys to speed up. I wasn't in a rush, so it honestly wasn't a big deal to me. But I did appreciate that they were aware of the time. The crew did a nice job with the car and were very friendly. The best thing about this location is that you can walk to multiple spots and grab something to eat. I went over to the Paperboy next door and enjoyed an amazing breakfast sandwich.
