Hello All, This was…read morethe first time I came to this Red Hook laundromat. I read the reviews before I went and it looked good, though I did bring quarters instead of using my credit card as recommended. I am now regretting that as of the two loads, one of them got an error message about not being able to fill with water. I tried reaching out to the company for a refund through their online contact form, though haven't heard back. The listed phone number goes immediately to a voicemail that has not been set up. Any suggestions? I really want to feel good about using this place again. UPDATE--Helpful hint. If you need to reach the manager you can call the number on the webpage and even though you can't leave a message he will see it as a missed call on his cell phone, and in my case, called me back. He says he will refund the amount of the wash when I tell him the number of the card I am going to buy at the location.

She was out doing errands and stopped in to tackle this chore. Now, I've been in here before - several times when it was JGW laundromat, but unknowledgeable the reason why the name change, I couldn't think of a better time to write this review (which I thought I had written before for here under the Car Wash section under the same business name) and came here today to discuss today's experience. I've never been too fond of this laundromat - now with social distancing in place. The temperatures in the place are never honest, there's never an air conditioner in sight, nor heat that ever works properly. The place is in shambles - the floor is cracked in spots and has seen better days, and although the owner has replaced all the machines with more technologically-advanced machines (offering contactless forms and certain laundromat-only cards), nothing seems to work properly. The dryers are sometimes warm and sometimes not so much, and the washers often don't like to wash if the door isn't "set" just right. There's signs everywhere to alert to some key machine issues, but not even the chairs are somewhat decent - seeing better days more towards the early 21st century. Now, today I found out they have free wi-fi, but due to good cell connection I have to try it out here. In the past, I've tried their car washes with trouble too. However, it's been a bit longer since the last one and I don't stop for this car wash often (found a better one in Kingston). I don't think I'll be back for the car wash and am amazed that you aren't offering contactless card washes here. But know I'll need to get back to this soon. Throughout all the changes, I always seem to grasp an issue this place has. There's nobody "tending the cattle here" checking on the place and keeping abreast of the moods. And what about the move you made bringing the folding tables to the add-on room within the last few months that once housed a dry cleaner in the 1980s? What's up? Poor decisions here. There rarely problems, but why don't you peak your head in to check up on things?

This place doesn't get much traffic during the evening, but it is pretty common to see some people at this location. The machines here wash just as good as the ones east of town(JGW Laundromat&Car Wash) and for the same price, it's no bargain. The only problem, is that you must go up several steps to get your wash to the laundered area(definitely not handicapped accessible in that respect). Maybe, after the building sells, the new owner can make it more handicapped accessible, so that EVERYONE can have a chance to do laundry fairly. I like the sign though, that says the owner thanks people for taking their laundry out soon after completion. However, yesterday(I'm not making a big to-do out of it, being in the evening when few people were working their wash through the machines) the few people left the station and came back, about 5-10 minutes after their wash had finished washing. It just seemed like forever for their wash to finish. Personally, without saving money and the fact that it's NOT handicapped accessible, I'll probably won't be back, but you never can tell.

I have used the pickup service for household laundry- blankets, sheets, curtains- and everything has come back nicely folded in plastic bags. I appreciate the periodic specials to offset the cost of saving my shoulders for these bulky items, and the pickup/delivery service is so very convenient. These were literally a few $25 dollar blankets from walmart, so the one wash was more expensive than buying new ones! when I complained I was told that they would give me some credit back but then they changed their minds - after spending over $500 dollars at this place, I really would have continued to be a loyal customer for years! Since it is conveniently located in the middle of a popular shopping district, you can do your laundry in between grabbing lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings, the bagel shop or Michael's Diner, or shopping at Target, Sam's or Walmart up the hill, or even grocery shopping at Hannaford's across the street. Overall, my clothes came out just fine in their relatively modern commercial machines. I spoke to a female staff member there with questions a couple of times and she was very helpful and polite. They also offer drop off laundry services. The parking lot is a bit small and spots are tight, but I still didn't have any problem finding parking in the middle of the day during the week. The crowd around there could be perceived as sketchy, but I didn't have a problem with anyone and kept to myself. I would go back if I needed to outsource my laundry needs again.

Someone related to the owner or one of the owners takes up every machine in the place to do laundry for what I'm assuming is a camp. It's ridiculous that he's doing this during the daytime. The place is open24 hours a day,come do it like 8:00pm when no one's there. It's so frustrating as a regular to have to deal with this. It's really inconsiderate. He'd do it on Mondays so we switched to Tuesday and guess what he was there Tuesday afternoon too. We ended up having to take our wet laundry to another laundromat because there wasn't a single one open . He'd take them as soon as they were emptied.
