Once all the power and heat was turned on, Jay went above and beyond going through all the parts of the house. He pointed out everything they needed to repaired and gave rough estimates and referrals throughout the house. The thing that really stood out though was that Jay was straightforward and honest in his assessment. I work on a lot of houses, so all the figures he gave for estimates were pretty much in line with what I would expect. Not too high, like he was selling me on a repair I didn't need. But also not underselling the cost of what needed to get done. To me, there's nothing more valuable then getting accurate information. Don't try and overinflate or udnerflate what costs will be. The report states that the venting above the gas stove was working properly but there is no vent at all there, and that has been an ongoing issue in my house. The report also states that the water dispenser in the fridge was working normally but there is not even a water line connected to the refrigerator. Having reviewed this company's report, I have had several different licensed contractors look at…read morethe report and then attempt to verify and or repair the True North Home Inspection recommendations for repairs. This inspection report proved beyond any shadow of doubt that the inspection was conducted by a incompetent, uninformed person that either never read the the written code books or did not understand what the code books were stating. As such it cost the seller thousands of dollars to prove the useless condemnations that the inspection falsely stated. Human error is always possible and understandable but gross negligence and a vivid lack of understanding what the code states and how it is applied is criminal. I would suggest that one hires competent qualified professionals to complete a knowledgeable competent home inspection
