Before that, my husband and I worked different schedules so we never needed a dog walker. We both took about a year off after moving before heading back into full-time work. When we decided to go back to work and realized we would have the same schedule, we knew we had to find someone to walk our dog Mon-Fri. I called several people, asked a lot of questions and met a few of them. Lori was very patient with all my questions and our dog absolutely loved her. It was important to us to find the right person because our dog started having separation anxiety after our move. She was tearing up her crate, which made us very nervous to leave her. We felt like we were tied to the house all the time and even mounted a camera in the living room so we could check on her when we were out! (We've since retrained her to like her crate again.) Lori started walking our dog once a week and moved to 5 days once my husband and I were both working. During the first few weeks of my new job I continued to check our camera to see how our dog was doing while we were gone. And I have to admit that I did check a few times to see how long Lori was out with our dog. I feel weird about that now, but we didn't know Lori so well yet and she totally could have said she was walking our dog for 45 minutes and only go for 20, and we wouldn't have known. But she never cuts the time short. She always has our dog out for as long as she was scheduled for. Over the past year Lori has been a HUGE asset to our family. I don't believe she's ever cancelled a walk, so she is extremely reliable. She feeds our cats their lunch every day when she comes to take our dog out. When we go on vacation, she boards our dog and visits our cats. She even gave one of our cats medication when he needed it. Lori often sends heart-warming photos of our dog while she's out with her. She keeps our dog safe and comfortable by playing with her inside when the weather is extreme. And I know our dog adores Lori because when I'm home sick I get to see how excited she is when Lori arrives. We rely on Lori so much that I honestly don't know what we would do if we ever lost her. P.S. For those of you who haven't checked out her website yet and are wondering how much she charges... she's very affordable. We do $15 for 45 minutes. I've seen some walkers charge $25 for a 30 minute walk! We are by no means well off, so with how often Lori walks our dog, we really appreciate her fair prices!

Before I met Drew I spent so much time on Yelp contacting other pet sitters in the area and they all seemed like they were mostly dog-oriented and just tolerated cats and would be only dropping by to make sure my cats were alive. Then I contacted Drew and I knew right away she was special - she actually adores cats and her primary concern is getting to know your cats' individual needs and quirks and providing the best comprehensive care possible while putting your mind at ease with daily checks-ins and photos. (She also owns a photography business and you can hire her for an epic pet photo session!) Drew regularly takes care of my guys, whether I'm busy for one day or away for a longer trip. Under anyone else's care, I'd worry about their individual dietary and behavioral needs - I have a picky older cat with anxiety and urinary issues, a goofy black cat with a sensitive tummy and a history of eating inedible objects and getting the occasional ear infection, and a young, spunky one-eyed cat who once had an injured leg. Not only has Drew gotten to know each of their personalities and connected with them like they're her own pets (they greet her at the door), she has expertly attended to their occasional extra needs and has on multiple occasions taken the time to talk me through my concerns about their issues. In addition to being a cat owner herself, Drew has experience working at clinics and rescues and volunteers her time at a cat sanctuary so I thoroughly trust her input and consider her a valued care companion and part of our pet family. I had Trusty Paws Pet Service watch my 2 rotties this past Thurs, Friday and Saturday. I was very…read morenervous as this was the first time leaving my dogs in someone else's care. My previous rotties went to a boarding kennels but one of my current rotties has extra special needs (aka a-hole dog). Kopi has separation anxiety, doesn't like other dogs, refuses to be put in a kennel, and is very stubborn. Kopi has failed evaluations for boarding kennels. Kopi is the most difficult dog I have lived with. When Eric came to the house to meet the dogs prior to getting hired on, Eric showed a lot of patience with Kopi and let Kopi come to him instead of Eric trying to pet him right away. By the end of visit Kopi allowed Eric to interact with him enough for me to have some relief knowing Kopi would be okay while I was gone. Kazzie loves most everyone and as expected she had to no issues with Eric. Eric sent me pictures each time he came to the house to feed and play with them and sometimes he sent a short video. I always worry that people will say they feed the dog but don't actually feed the dog but I didn't have to worry about that with Eric. Eric did not miss any of my requested times to feed and check on my dogs because my Ring cameras informed me. Yes, I have cameras showing the feeding area. I know Eric took time to play with Kazzie and Kopi because when I returned home they were happy to see me but Kopi's craziness level was not as high as I expected so I know Eric gave them attention while I was away. Our meet and greet with Jayce went great and fortunately for us she was available when we needed her (and willing to work on the holiday). We opted for two 30-min visits per day because one of our dogs requires morning and evening medications and Jayce always showed up within the time frames and followed all the instructions for feeding and medication schedules. She kept the water refilled and based on what we could see from our home security cameras, our two dogs seemed to really like her. She sent pictures/updated with every visit. Jayce was also observant of overall home well-being and notified me when there was evidence of someone besides her having been in the house (there was, as my father-in-law had come by to pick something up, and apparently he left the laundry room light on and the laundry room door open). Although we did not intend for it to be a test of her attentiveness, it was great to know that she was in fact paying attention to the home safety and alerting when there was a potential concern. She also took care of some other basic household tasks like pulling our garbage cans in off the street and picking up our mail. The prices are extremely reasonable and she was willing to work on Christmas Day. She even dressed up our pups and sent special Christmas greetings We look forward to booking with E.G. At my home visit, Jacey and I discussed dog walking, plant watering services daily mail pick up and in home sitting services offered. I was in luck as Jacey had an immediate opening and was able to fit Bella into her rather busy schedule. I filled out and signed a couple of forms, provided Bella's veterinarian information and additional emergency contact information. We went over the daily feeding times walking, plant watering and mail pick up schedule. I was extremely impressed at Jacey's attentiveness organization and use of technology. Jacey calendared everything on her personal device and when she met Bella I was relieved to see that they were such a great match. It was comforting to know that my dog would be safe in her own home and well taken care of by a professional dog lover. Overall the pre-appointment took about 30 to 40 minutes. I scheduled Jacey to come by two times each day in the morning and evening and as an added bonus I received daily updates from Jacey on pretty much everything for updates including mini videos as well as lots of pictures.
