He is so busy at times yet when I walk in to need a watch battery and have it installed too (I own 15 watches that are difficult to open with my nails ) He will drop his work in back and step out with a smile to assist Me. He will again take the TIME to work quickly and install the battery and also reset the time on my watch too! I will never stop in a department or jewelry store for my watches. I am a huge fan of businesses that are locally owned and run by people that make you feel like a valued customer. The space is welcoming and has a whole cavalcade of watches and clocks for sale. The proprietor is an exceedingly friendly man who goes out of his way to make you feel welcome when you visit. We've been twice now, the first time to get my son a new watch band, and the second time for a very quick little repair on the same watchband. He didn't even charge is the second time, telling us it was a simple fix. I would come back just to buy a new watch, and I don't even wear watches anymore! read more

We were having difficulty replacing the backing of a watch after putting in a new battery. We gave them a call and asked if they could help us out. Long story short, we took it right in and he was able to click it in place. The fee was reasonable especially when we were struggling for more than 20 minutes and worried about breaking the glass. Great service. Friendly and fair. My watches were treated well. I had batteries in a few Movado watches. They were done great. No wear on the back and the case backs were perfectly aligned. Sounds overly picky, I know, but I worked for years for Movado and have been trained, by the company, I just don't have the supplies or the eyes anymore! What an excellent place for watch batteries! Recommended by a coworker last year, I stopped in with 6 watches that needed batteries. The gentleman who owns the place was done in 5 min. No joke, if that! I browsed the many, many bands he has while we were talking about this and that. He was so fast and efficient I couldn't believe it. I will never go anywhere else. Cute little shop thats been around a long time. Right next to the deli in the same complex. I think I paid $35 for 7 batteries (one watch took 2) and they were not cheapo watches. He also set the time on every one and polished them off so they were shiny. I was so happy! As someone who loves watches and takes very good care, I highly recommend going here for batteries, or repairs. I went to this watch repairman long ago and only once. Once was enough. He stole the music from a Bugs Bunny girl watch I had for years. He even remarked how much he liked the way it played. The watch hadn't worked in years but the music part of did. I go pick up the watch and the watch worked but yeah no music which was never ever a problem even with the broken watch. I asked what happened to the music? He said, I don't know. Did it play music? He knows it did. He complemented me on it. I didn't argue the point then but it has always bothered me. This dudes a thief! I should've taken him to small claims court back then. It was a watch I had for a long time and shame on a watch repairman to steal something rare and then say he never heard it. That's very unethical and he has no business calling himself a professional. I winded up getting rid of that watch a short time later because every time I looked down at it I remember the man who stole the music from it and not Bugs Bunny who was on the face of the watch. It made me sad to look at it. It was that man who made me sad. I'm over the the watch. My Movado watch had the minute hand just fall off. Of course the warrenty had run out. I took it to Lucidos who said they did no inhouse repairs and it would have to be sent out. The approximate cost would be $200.00 OR UP. I let the watch sit in my drawer for the next year unable to spend half of what I paid for the watch for repairs... . I also asked another jewelry store with the same answer... I thought of watchbands N More after going to dinner at New York Deli and seeing the store. He looked at the watch and said it would be $25.00 to fix it . I almost fell over. He said it would take about a week since he was busy at the time. When he told me it was ready I thought it would cost more but when I picked it up the cost was still $25.00.
