Dim lighting, modern upscale design, and a record player playing chill tunes. I ordered the Plain Jane matcha which was $10.50. A little pricey, but I was willing to try it out. It was definitely the best matcha I've ever had, and it makes sense that it would be more expensive compared to other places' matcha which tastes watered down in comparison. I will definitely be coming back. Just for the atmosphere. And I'd also like to try their other drinks including the pour-over as l am such a big coffee fan.

Today I visited The Diamond Factory of Ann Arbor inside of Briarwood Mall. The store had a sign…read moreoutside claiming "WE BUY GOLD & Diamonds Highest Price Paid Guaranteed" which led me to believe that I would be presented with a fair and reasonable offer for my 2+ gram, 14K white gold engagement ring with two small side diamonds. A 2 gram 14K white gold melt value is $99. The spot price of gold is currently $2,633.53/ounce as of 12/7/24. The manager (supposedly named Victor) and his sales associate (Rafi) offered me only $56 for the ring, despite me already having a prior offer for $250. Victor (real name apparently Vicken Tufenkjian according to public state filings) even claimed that the store didn't have an owner when confronted about his false and misleading sign. Victor also refused to tell me his full name when I told him that I was going to file a complaint. At one point he even tried to falsely claim that my ring wasn't actually gold. To make matters worse, when I returned to the store and explained to Victor that other jewelers inside of Briarwood quoted my ring at around $400, he called the mall police to try to intimidate me instead of addressing my concerns professionally. Five allied security guards along with an Ann Arbor police officer were unnecessarily called on me. I left the store and immediately filed a complaint with the FTC. This experience was extremely frustrating, inconvenient, and disturbing. Please steer clear of this store and go somewhere where you will be treated fairly. PS: if you have bought any jewelry at this store in the past I would strongly suggest that you have it checked for authenticity by another jeweler.

Not only were we delighted with the service and just the caliber of humanity we encountered in the store, but Rhonda herself hand delivered our re-sized rings to us in NYC when they were ready a couple months later. She surprised us with champagne and appetizers, took pictures of us as we opened them, and even gave us cupcakces for dessert AND bought us a bouquet of flowers. After that, she took pictures of us by Rockefeller Center. This woman just goes above and beyond and may be the first person we've encountered to truly have a heart of gold. The quality of the rings is exquisite, the re-sizing perfect, the attention to detail, the personal attention....we will remember this for the rest of our lives. It's rare to encounter not only incredible service, wonderful products in terms of both selection and value, but also each and every person we interacted with in the store to be so genuinely kind and curious about our love story, and eager to support us and help us find something that expresses our individual personailities. There are so many things here that I have genuinely never seen anywhere else, and I'm someone who naturally gravitates to tchotchke stores already and would like to think I have seen a vast selection already! There's always something new here each time I go, so I strongly recommend that everyone come and take a lap around this store to see what treasures are lying in wait to be discovered by you.
