But he is also a throwback to the days of craftsmen/craftspersons who take their work seriously and also take great pride in their workmanship. My son inherited a watch from my recently deceased father. After carefully sizing it for my son's smaller wrist and removing a few metal watchband links, Sergio looked my son in the eye, shook his hand, and told him to treasure the watch because he knew the significance of the timepiece to us. It isn't the monetary value, but Sergio and his wife understood instinctively the real value of the watch to us, and the ritual of handing down a family keepsake. It helped my son learn a lesson and I know he will value the watch more because of the way Sergio treated it. I just love this guy.
