I used to go there many times and get my water bottles filled. Today I purchased a 20 pound bag of ice. The lady in front of me was treated very aggressively by the man behind the counter. She wanted shave ice for her grandkids, and didn't want the ice and syrup over the top of cup. She was explaining to him how she got it done last time she was in so a lid could be put on the cup and take home to kids. He said the way she asked for it was dumb and continued to argue about it. I said well you know the customer is always right and his reply was not always. I had to step in her husband just stood there and watch him belittle her. read more

Horrible service. Never go to this location. I came in closer to close. Around 645pm. Just for one shaved ice. ONE. And the man behind the counter was very rude and disrespectful to my girlfriend and me. He was telling us he closes in 2 minutes. When it was actually 10-15 minutes. I like to try the water and the shaved ice at different places. This place is near the library, so I went after and both are great. The ice wasn't as shaved as I like, but overall was good. The water also tasted fresh, which made me decide to make this my new water spot. The service was good too, very friendly young man helped us. read more

Kids and I drove out of our way from Chandler Mall to get some Thrifty Ice Cream. We werent there for the water, nor have I ever tasted their stores water. However the two young men behind the counter were a little offended that I have never tasted their water because it is the BEST around, they say. Customers drive from a distance just to purchase water at this location. They have a smaller selection of Thrify's flavors, but they had my favorite, Bubble Gum. The selection of candy is good. This is a distance from our home, so don't know if we will be back unless we are in the neighborhood. Located in the closed Fry's parking lot strip mall. Would be easy to miss. read more

Ok, so... I'm really picky about my water places. When I'm in CA, I drive clear across two towns to find a place with great service and quality water. (The CA location has curbside service and lets me buy gallons in advance on a loyalty card so I don't have to deal with a cash exchange each time or even get out of my car!) Now that I'm in AZ, I needed to find something similar. Fortunately, my friend took me to a Water and Ice in Chandler after a play date at KTR (awesome place for kids, btw). We only went that day for their Thrifty ice cream (the kids adored it) but after that first introduction, I started noticing Water and Ice shops around the area. Last week, I'd had enough with our yucky $0.25 a gallon water machine water. I searched for a Water and Ice that is located by my work and found this location. I went in and was happy to see that they offer great water service, the same delicious Thrifty scoop ice cream, and most importantly, a free water bottle cleaner!!! All of this and they're still only $0.25 a gallon. Now if only they'd let me buy $15 at a time (12 gallons) so I didn't have to deal with money each time. haha A guy named Victor was working there on the day I arrived and he helped me fill and take the full bottles back out to my car. I really appreciate that!!! I'll definitely be back frequently, and even bring my lil guy in for ice cream. They also have other other snacks, drinks, and water supplies there. Oh and btw, since I still had water machine water in my machine when I got home, we were able to do a taste test on the two. Water and Ice water didn't have the weird aftertaste the water machine water had. Definitely see ya there! read more

This water place is our go to every time we need to fill our 7 bottles!! My husband has been coming to this water place since 2011 but I've only been coming here since I moved here, back in 2014! We have tried different water places closer to us but the taste is not the same! This water taste fresh and crisp and does not carry the plastic tap water like most places! I am pretty picky about the taste of our water because we use this water to cook and drink everyday! The store does have a variety of bottles and caps for sell as well as candy and ice cream if you are hungry! Prices are pretty average! They do supply carts and assistance if you need help taking bottles to your car! I highly recommend trying this place! read more

Stopped in for the first time and was so impressed by the cleanliness, service, and the wide selection of bottles, ice cream, candy, and other items. I bought 24 one gallon jugs for only $0.99 a piece and my first fill-up was free. They had a bunch of carts I could use to bring my water to my car and the friendly woman working even helped me fill when there were no customers at the counter. In an age where good service is hard to come by, it was refreshing to see that places like this still exist. I'm definitely a regular customer at this location after today. read more

We were on the hunt for some good, affordable drinking water. We have been drinking Costco cases of water and wanted to cut down on our plastic waste. We found sparkletts through Costco. They came out and for a small fee we rented the water dispenser and 5 gallons for $6.49. We drove past water n' ice one day and my wife started researching and mostly the reviews were on the ice cream (which is good), no reviews on the water. We went in and bough seven 5 gallon jugs. First fill was free, and the ongoing cost is $.25/ gallon. $1.25 for 5 gallons. The water is great, the facility is clean and the lady at the counter was very knowledgeable and helpful. We are Cali natives & love us some Thrifty ice cream. They have the good ol' chocolate malted crunch, and even better, the original Thrifty prepacks! Now I know back in Cali, the tubs run less than $4 a tub, so at $5.95 (or around there, forgot price) it's a little high... But driving to Cali is a little more expensive! I don't know what these negative reviews are about. I used to go to wal mart on Warner and alma school for decent water. I go here because it's closer to my new home. The water there tastes really good and clean and the lady over the counter was so nice! They sell all kinds of comfort food like candy and they have thrifty ice cream! I can relive my youth with my kids and introduce them to thrifty ice cream! Nice! I recommend this place! Really great place and great owners. My co-worker and I visit about once a month to fill our office water jugs. It doesn't matter who's working, they are always so nice! We appreciate when the employee stands outside to let customers know that it's going to be a few minutes while filters are being changed, lets us know that they change them. We also love the fact that we can buy a card and don't have to ask our boss for the company card for every visit. read more

We ordered a water bottle in a specific color. It took about a week and the manager called to let us know it was in and to come pick it up. So we drove all the way to the store to pick it up. It was a young boy who had no idea what we were talking about. He then called the manager to ask about the bottle and she tells him they orders the wrong bottle and for us to just get another one. No "sorry" or anything. And beyond that, when they called to let us know they had our bottle, they didn't say anything about ordering the wrong one. I will never shop there again!
