Somewhat cool place. Reminds me of a gas station. They have fresh water with gallon jugs to fill up, fresh ice, and typical convenience store items such as candy bars and chips. In addition, they have shaved ice with lots of different syrups along with ice cream. I got the Cherry Chip Ice Cream, it was okay. Their Ice Cream isn't house-made, it's Blue Bunny and Thrift Brand. My gut told me to leave! As soon as I walk in the store the female (assuming the wife) was yelling at the male (assuming the husband). Their arguing eventually turned towards me because I didn't read the sign about not rinsing your bottle out. All the water ice stores I have ever been to allows you to rinse your bottle. I apologized and explained that I didn't know and that I have never been in their store before. The woman told the male that she had explained this to me before. We used to live near this location and thought we would take a drive to get some ice cream. When walking in I could tell the store must have changed hands. The store felt warm. Warmer than it should be for an ice cream place. They have a good selection of flavors. There is a cooler in front of the ice cream cooler so it was difficult to see all of the flavors. We all ordered our scoops and they are small scoops. So in total, 8 small scoops totaled $24. I had two different flavors and I had finished the flavor on top and I got to the bottom flavor and it had a chemical taste to it. I tried it in different spots but still chemical flavor. I mentioned it to the lady and she said I have to buy another flavor. I told her it didn't taste right and she insisted I should have gotten another flavor. I sat my cup on the counter and started to walk out. She finally said she would give me another flavor, and she did. I thought we had spent way more than enough money there that she would at least accommodate for a change. They do not offer sampling. What you get is what you get. I would mention that the place does need a good cleaning and the ice cream does taste freezer burnt. read more

I have been a customer here for over 15+ years and have never had such bad service at any other water dispensary. The owner and his wife are incredibly rude and condescending to anyone they deem as a bad customer (kids and black people) it is honestly disgusting how they treat people and then turn around to talk poorly about them when they have left the store. Tonight, I spilled less than a pint of water while I was watching out for some incoming customers and the owner was incredibly rude telling me I was "Wasting water" I told him to put a half gallon on my bill and he refused said he "didn't want to argue" but was causing a huge scene about the miniscule loss of water. The family that runs this water and ice are the nicest people and always very polite when I go to fill my water jugs. They enforce social distancing and the wearing of masks. Horrible place, went to get ice cream and it was gooey and thaw. The place is disgusting and dirty, They don't use scoopers, instead they use a cylinder shaped tool that they use to scoop the ice cream, which makes it perfectly for it go down the whole cone. Took my 3 small kids for ice cream and should have known when the ice cream looked disgusting (like it had been thawed and refrozen) and the place seemed dirty. Within hours of eating the ice cream all 3 kids have explosive diarrhea, puking and have stomach cramps. Needless to say we will NOT be back. My kids like this place. But I'd never been, before today. Here's how it works: I open my wallet and the kids take my money. I wait outside, in air-conditioned comfort, and they enter the shop. They reappear about five minutes later with a shaved ice or ice cream cone. Well, today I went in. I had no idea what I'd been missing. Maria and her husband own the place. Really nice people. They are transplants from Jersey and, personally, I like the occasional east coast fix. Anyway, they have ice cream, they have shaved ice, they have soda, they have candy, they have water, they have ice, they have ... well, loads of stuff. They have tons of flavors for everything. And, rare as it is in 2008, they have reasonable prices. Hard to believe, I know. But it's true. I can't recommend this place highly enough. I went in for a cone, wound up with a great chat, finished my ice cream and got a diet coke. These folks have owned the place for 19 months and, in the present economy, have seen their customers tighten their "discretionary spending on sweets" belts/budgets. Patronize them if you have the chance. The sweet confections are great and these are exactly the kind of businesses we want to support -- "mom and pops" that contribute to the neighborhood (and in their case, all the local schools). read more

I love this place. When my family first moved to Arizona, my sister and I went here all the time to get shaved ice. They have a huge variety of flavors and they always make it right. Water and Ice is owned by lovely people who are always kind and helpful, and great to talk to. Their store has a huge selection of candy, snacks, drinks, frozen treats, etc. Everything is always fresh. Their prices are fair and it always feels good to help out a family rather than go shopping next door at albertson's.
