First, Tim answers the phone; no AI screen or answering services. His great knowledge and trustworthiness was immediately apparent. Tim confidently conveyed what we needed, foregoing a hard-sell based on claims of water unsafety. He shared the details of the whole-house filter he recommended and added us to his install schedule. A couple of week later, Tim showed up at the scheduled time and performed an efficient and clean install. He provide a helpful tutorial and said that I should expect to be able to enjoy the necessary filtering for about 5 years before any service would be needed. The improvement of the quality of our water was virtually immediate. Thereafter, we have enjoyed our improved water without interuption. When owner was confronted with this he argued and hung up on me. Plumber did travel to exchange the faucet from store less than a mile away. It took less than l- 1/2 hours to exchange and install. Charged $475 for a $225 job with extra time, should have been no more than $350.

Several of the more recognizable names in the area were not 24-hour, but Atlantis dispatched Tony S. with a 40-minute arrival time. Tony arrived, quickly assessed the situation and got the water shut off. Then, he went to work to replace the section of pipe. Suspecting a pressure problem, he ran those checks as well, ultimately finding the burst section of pipe was old and had weak or damage spots and the pressure was fine. He did point out some changes we might consider (previous owner had self-installed this water heater), but there was no high-pressure or dire warnings just to secure more work. Now, it was an emergency fix in the middle of the night, so I won't say it was cheap, but not sure what plumbing service is these days - we recently had other plumbing work done by another company & our jaw dropped at that bill. Came home and found the front planting beds covered with water. I was hoping that my wife just over watered the front plants. Not so lucky! I went down in my basement and shut off the incoming water valve (next to the incoming water line that services my home), and still heard running water on the other side of the cement wall. Not good, at this point knew I had a broken service line. Went up to the street and turned off the water at the county water meter. I started to dig up my planting beds to find the leak. I decided (at my age), that I'd rather just pay a plumber to fix the problem. I called TKO Plumbing and got an appointment later in the afternoon. John and his partner (sorry, don't remember your name) called exactly 30-minutes before they arrived. Told John what I found and they started to finish the excavation of about another foot of dirt. They found the leak at a broken elbow just outside the exterior wall. They fixed in no time, but had to wait an hour for the glue to dry before re-applying the water pressure at the water meter.
