My problem was two-fold: 1. The water was hard and full of chlorine, and quite often discolored. "FGUA" was useless in resolving the issue and on occasion our subdivision was even without water. Showers were less than inspiring and I had to use hard water soap. Dishwashing in the sink provided minimal suds and was sometimes discolored as well. Quite often the tap water smelled strongly. 2. Because of the crud and sediment from the municipal water supply my "RO" system filters plugged up prematurely and the replacement filters were proprietary and far too expensive. Three of them are now over $220.00 which is a rip-off! After I called Josh at Final Filter, he paid me a visit a few days later and he indeed came up with a final solution to both problems. About ten days later he installed a regenerative carbon filter and a softener. He was here and gone in about two hours and cleaned up after himself, even his little puppy that he had with him! Now my water doesn't stink, I have lots of suds in my shower and in the kitchen to do dishes with. ...And my overpriced "RO" filters are going to last much longer, which saves me several hundred dollars not having to replace them so often.
