We discontinued on service with them and they came out to get the system and got the electrical parts only but left the salt container full of salt and the city would not pick it up because it was so heavy. I seldom write reviews, but one necessity is water to your house. And I consider this totally unacceptable. We put in a new water filtration system at our home in June, 2024. We paid them $5,430.00. After the installation they did not leave any manuals for the new system. So I couldn't know how to trouble shoot any problems if they appeared. We initially had some miscommunications about where to put the tanks, but they came out and corrected those problem. On November 28 I noticed that water was pouring out of a hose from the new system and that one of the pumps was constantly running, I was concerned that the pump may burn up. Also the water coming into the house continued to be cloudy, which it had been since the water system was installed. I called about the cloudy water and was told this was normal. I contacted Affordable Water again and sent them a video of the problem. I called to follow up but got nowhere. A week later they sent me an email that they had forwarded my video to their technicians and that they would contact me. They never contacted me. Finally I called again and explained the situation and was told that the soonest they could get out to see the problem was December 31!!! I asked, please can't you send someone earlier and was told that they are booked out 2 months! I explained that the pump was running constantly and that the area where the hose was pouring out water was flooded. They said I would have to bypass the system and that they would text me a video on how to do that. They sent me a video of how to bypass a water softner, not the water filtration system. I called right back but noone answered the phone. I called Partridge Well Drilling, they came out the next day. They had to rework the entire system that was installed incorrectly. For the first time since the system was installed my water was clear. I will be using Partridge in the future for all my needs, even though I have a warranty with Affordable. But what use is a warranty, if they do not come to fix your water system. read more

Price was in line with the other places, but I also don't know what size the other systems would have been. A first-rate outfit. Installers showed up on time, and their work was cleanly and quickly done. City water is fairly hard, loaded with chlorine and pH varies from 6.2 to 6.8. My friend recommended this business because she had a great experience with them. I had shared concerns about water companies not being transparent with their pricing so she provided me a copy of her receipt for one piece of her equipment and installation from earlier this year. I had them come out to provide me an estimate. I believe they wanted to charge me more for installation and equipment. You could actually see where the estimator wrote over the original price and replaced it with a higher number for two items (they didn't even bother to type it or use white out to cover the overcharge). I contacted the company to give them a chance to explain and the owner explained that one of the charges didn't make sense but the other charges were okay. She even said "we didn't charge you more because we don't have to."Well that may be true, but they lost my business (almost a $4k job because they wanted to overcharge me). Called the office to have someone come out to give us an estimate on installing a new water softener, and possibly replacing a water filtration system on our current property. The rep took my information and had someone give me a call back. They were able to squeeze us in the same day. The person that came out to do the estimate seemed disorganized, or just in a rush. We spoke about a few options on where to install the water softener, but he also mentioned a lot of IFs and things WE needed to confirm. Mind you - We've never owned one before so I have no clue what I should be looking for. I also asked about the water filtration system that's already installed and if that should be replaced. He pretty much brushed that conversation off. To summarize we never got an actual quote so I couldn't even tell you how much this would cost. Affordable water has always been a great company, we have used them for years, as well as other members of my family and never had any issues until as of late. Started using their salt delivery as it was always hard to find and get the salt for my system. delivery was a breeze, but now whoever they are using to deliver has not shown up on last delivery and this time just dropped it off at my door when they are supposed to dump salt in tank while they are here.
