Well this place is cool. I mean like most water stores it's got the thrifty ice cream and some snacks but WHOA does it have some snacks! If they carried beer and cigarettes I would say they are a full on convenience store. Now like most water stores, it seems a little on the "older looking" side but it seemed clean inside and they have lots of water stations. The kid working was super friendly and nice and very outgoing. Just look at the pictures and you will see they carry a LOT of different drinks, snacks, and that good ol thrifty ice cream and even some bottle stands, jugs, and bottles. read more

J-Wow, are you really reviewing a Water 'n Ice? I am, but let me just say that this isn't just a regular Water 'n Ice. It's a COOL Water 'n Ice. More than just the average water and ice spot, they also sell fun snacks from other countries. Japanese Kit Kats, fun-flavored chips, etc. They also have root beer on tap! For $4.50-something, you too can have an Abita root beer float. Abita - the Lousianna wonder made with sugar cane! Wow! That's really all I wanted to say. read more

Can see why they are looking for help. The person working there was too busy outside doing whatever with his friend, leaving the store completely unwatched. I walked right by him and wasn't sure he even worked there. If management ever reads these or cares about the quality or performance of employees, fire this guy on the spot. Your walking into a very dirty and run-down store. The shaved ice is poorly made you get chips of ice vs going to other water and ice where the shaved ice is fine shaved. The place smelled and made you feel weird being there. read more

My mom told me that moving out to AZ would require needing to purchase filtered water because the normal city water provided in houses/apartments/etc is quite disgusting.... she was absolutely correct! So as a result when I moved into my own apartment in Tempe I tracked down the closest water dispensary [this Water N Ice location] to purchase said clean & filtered water and a bottle. I wouldn't suggest buying a dispenser here, you can find them cheaper online. The 4-gallon bottle was $15, and each time I've returned to refill every few weeks is roughly $1.50. Cannot beat that cost for clean delicious water, except you must carry cash - minimum credit card charge is $5. They also have a "water card" program starting at $10 which will last me for awhile. All of the employees I've encountered there are friendly, sometimes they've been nice enough to carry the water jug to my car. read more

I bought three 5 gallon 'Made in the USA' water bottle from them in July 2016. One of the bottoms shattered the first time that I filled it up at the start of September when setting it down. They did not exchange it or even acknowledge that it could be a problem or defect with the water bottle. Buy your water bottles elsewhere if you expect any sort of customer service on your purchase. read more

Just a friendly notice to all potential customers that they do not honor their own commitments. I purchased a coupon through a popular coupon organization and showed up with it tonight to get some ice cream. They immediately told me they stopped accepting those coupons, despite the fact that it had not expired yet, and that I would need to take it up with the coupon company. What terrible service! Also, the store is pretty filthy and run down inside. Probably a blessing in disguise that they wouldn't honor their commitment. read more

First time at this Water 'n Ice. Refilled our water bottles and picked up a 1/2 gallon of their ice cream. Great ice cream at a price much better than the grocery store. Staff very friendly and hand packed the ice cream. Can't wait to get back for a different flavor of ice cream! read more

I am so put off right now by this place that I actually unstalled Yelp on my phone to write a review! I just went to the vending machine outside the store. There was already a gentleman filling his bottles inside. I put in the standard $1.25 (.25/gal) for my water and the machine indicated that it is $1.50 for 5 gallons at this location. I was with my daughter at swim next door so I used this store as opposed to other stores that I regularly go to. I added the extra 25 cents and the machine proceeded to spit out water. I knew this meant that the water supply in the holding tank was low and it was barely spitting out the bottom of the barrel. As I was filling I noticed the sign hanging in the store that said water is 25 cents a gallon on Weds- no coupon, no limit, and all day. An employee was taking out the trash so I asked her why the machine asked for $1.50 since it was Wednesday. She said that it only counts inside the store. I pointed out that the sign didn't indicate that. She shrugged. I then asked her how the broke down 5 gals for $1.50 and she said that it's $1.53 for 5 gallons. Huh? She said they collect tax on water. I explained to her that I was the owner of not one, not two, but three Water and Ice stores for 10 YEARS and I know that they don't collect tax on water! On everything else, yes, but not on water. I then asked her if they are required to collect tax on water inside, why weren't they required to collect it at the machine. Either they are cheating the customers inside by collecting taxes falsely or they are cheating the government by not collecting taxes outside. Which is it? Needless to say, I will not be returning to this store as there seems to be a lot of shady happenings there. read more

wtaf. I was craving a snow cone, and my trusty Yelp app found this place nearby. We were eventually able to find the kid that was working behind the counter, I asked if they sold snow cones, he said yes. From there it felt like I was interrogating him in order to find out more .. I asked what flavors and he pointed to a huge wall of bottles, how the hell I was supposed to determine what flavors they were is beyond me. I was eventually able to find a piece of cardboard on the counter that listed the flavors. We picked and he started snow-coning. When he was done he offered us sample spoons smaller than my pinkie, from a dirty styrofoam cup - and said they ran out of spoons and his manager told him to have people go to the burger joint next door and ask for a spoon. The hell? I'm not going to go into someone else's business and ask for a spoon because your manager can't cough up $10 and go to Costco. As for the snow-cone, they need to shave the ice finer.. that way I don't feel like I am eating crushed ice and syrup. read more

I just learned that this company has been charging me $.20 per $10 to put on money on their water card program towards future water purchases. This apparently has been happening for the past year or so when I had signed up for the program. The program was offered by one of the employees of the store located at Mill and Southern, Tempe (which has since closed down, I wonder why) and the "fee", was information not shared with me at the time I set up the "Water Card". The lack of integrity illustrated by this practice may go deeper, I wonder, if the lack of honesty at this level, dealing with customers, goes deeper and the product, Purified Water, is not what it is advertised, "Reverse Osmosis Purified Water". Not very happy with the fact that I called to see what time they were open until to find out they're open until 830 and then show up at 8:15 and this location was already closed. I love coming here! The staff is fantastic, there's a huge chalkboard wall, candy, ice cream, shaved ice, drinks, plus water and ice of course. It's an amazing atmosphere. They have a wall filled with photos of customers. Best place to get great tasting water! read more

When I walk in a water store, I expect it to be prestine and smell fresh. Not this place! This place is disgusting! Mold on the wall by the water faucets. Eeewww! All the candy is over priced. There is nothing that I can write to describe how much this place suck as an business establishment...but I think I'm going to take a stable at it. 1) I have set up an account with this place for over 5 months, and every month they have been late in delivering water to my place, yet they are always on time at withdrawing money from my account. It make my life a lot harder especially in the summer when I don't have water. It's freaking hot here in the summer, you are literally going to die without water. 2) The thing that upsets me the most is that I called in ahead of time to remind them that I have place the order, and ask them to deliver my water on a timely manner that we have set upon, NOPE not this place! They have yet be on time for one drop off. 3) I have made numerous calls in wishing to talk to the owner and have never got a call back other then the day that I was so feed up that I went in to the store to cancel my service. 4) What can I say about the owner (once I finally got to meet him in person) that would paint an accurate picture of a "first impression". Lets start with smell....I'm not sure if it's the smell of mold coming from the establishment or the smell of weed and swass ( for of those of you who don't know what it is, it's the combination of ass and sweat) coming form him that repulse me the most. When we finally have our conversation, he was listening to his music, his head phones were still in his ear. RUDE, NASTY, DISRESPECTFUL, UNSANITARY AND JUST SHITTY SERVICE. Horrible customer service! They still charged us for water we had to return because the water tasted like metal! The seals weren't even broken and they refused to provide any solution or credit for the water! What happen to the "customer is always right!?" We asked for a credit for the unopened jugs and they said they can't do that and if we don't pay it they'll take us to collections. How is it our fault that their water tastes horrible? read more
